  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Re-emerges with 73 yards Sunday

Brown had two receptions on four targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 28-21 loss to Buffalo. Brown resurfaced after being held without a catch in last week's rout of the Raiders. The Chiefs were playing from behind for most of this contest, which helps explain the deep threat's increased involvement Sunday. Brown's four targets checked in at fourth among Kansas City receiving options, a trend that should continue moving forward now that the team's receiving corps is back to full strength. Brown's reduced role should keep him in deep-league territory for fantasy purposes against the Broncos in Week 10.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Full participant Thursday

Brown (illness) was a full participant at Thursday's practice, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Brown missed practice Wednesday due to an illness, but his full participation Thursday indicates the wide receiver has recovered and should be available Sunday against the Bills. His role has decreased substantially since Rashee Rice's return from suspension, with Rice, Travis Kelce and Xavier Worthy all earning more attention from Patrick Mahomes than Brown.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Comes up empty Monday

Brown was unable to reel in his lone target during Monday's 28-7 win against the Commanders. Brown saw just 26 snaps during Monday's tilt, marking the second straight game he's seen fewer than 30 snaps. That coincides with the return of star wide receiver Rashee Rice, whose six-game suspension concluded prior to last week's contest versus the Raiders. However, that also coincides with two comfortable wins against the Raiders (31-0) and the Marcus Mariota-led Commanders (28-7), so the passing attack will likely be more relied upon in the coming weeks with the Bills, Broncos and Colts on the schedule.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Snags early touchdown

Brown recorded two catches on four targets for 14 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-0 win over the Raiders. Brown made an early impact in the game, hauling in an eight-yard touchdown to put the Chiefs up 14-0. He was a non-factor after that, mixing in for similar target volume with all of the Chiefs' pass catchers except Rashee Rice. Brown could pop up for decent performances throughout the rest of the season, but the return of Rice will make it difficult for Brown to retain the consistent involvement in the offense he enjoyed in the early part of the campaign.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Stars with two TDs on SNF

Brown brought in all four of his targets for 45 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Sunday's 30-17 win over the Lions. Brown delivered a standout performance under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football when he lifted his team with two trips to the end zone in the second half. The 28-year-old has done an admirable job starting for a thin Chiefs' receiving corps, producing a 30-302-3 line through six weeks of action. The impending doom Brown's managers are currently feeling is the looming return of Kansas City's top WR Rashee Rice. The suspended wideout will return for next Sunday's tilt against the Raiders, potentially eating into his replacement's production in the process. Brown should remain rostered until the dust settles from Rice's return, but expectations should be kept in check for Week 7.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Four catches in MNF loss

Brown brought in four of eight targets for 48 yards in the Chiefs' 31-28 loss to the Jaguars on Monday night. Brown tied for second on the Chiefs in targets while checking in third in both receptions and receiving yards. The busy night for the veteran wideout was par for the course thus far this season, as Brown has no fewer than five targets in any of his first five contests. Brown also recorded his first catch of at least 20 yards since Week 1 on Monday night, and he'll continue to profile as a key target for Patrick Mahomes in a Week 6 Sunday night showdown at home against the Lions.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Draws key penalty in SNF win

Brown finished with four receptions on six targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 22-9 win over the Giants. Brown's monster usage in Week 1 (16 targets) appears to have been an anomaly after the wideout averaged 5.5 targets in the two games since. The speedy receiver did draw a crucial pass interference flag on a deep shot in the waning moments of the first half that allowed the Chiefs to sneak in a field goal before the break. Xavier Worthy (shoulder) and Rashee Rice (suspension) remained out, with the former having a chance to return against the Ravens next Sunday. Brown will continue filling in as one of Patrick Mahomes' top options until both projected starters have returned to action.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Grabs five receptions in loss

Brown hauled in all five of his targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Eagles. Brown saw his target volume fall back down to earth following last week's 16-target, 10-catch outburst. The veteran wideout still led the Chiefs in receptions, with his five targets being usurped by only Travis Kelce's six in an overall lackluster passing performance Sunday. Brown could see his target share cut into if Xavier Worthy (shoulder) continues trending towards playing in Week 3. That said, Hollywood should stick in the starting lineup at least until Rashee Rice (suspension) returns in Week 7. Brown remains a plus PPR play when the Chiefs visit the Giants next Sunday.

  • Chiefs' Marquise Brown: Sleeper WRs

Brown has the chance for a big game against the Eagles, with Xavier Worthy (shoulder) unlikely to play and Rashee Rice (suspended) out. In Week 1 at the Chargers, after Worthy was injured, Brown finished with 10 catches for 99 yards on a whopping 16 targets. He's going to be heavily involved, and Brown should be considered a high-end No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues, with his value slightly higher in PPR. JuJu Smith-Schuster is also worth using as a sleeper in deeper formats since he had five catches for 55 yards on five targets against the Chargers.

  • Chiefs' Marquise Brown: Week 2 Adds (WR Preview)

Xavier Worthy is expected to miss the next few weeks with a shoulder injury. Rashee Rice is suspended for the next five games. The other healthy wide receivers on the team are JuJu Smith-Schuster, Tyquan Thornton, and Jason Brownlee. Brown won't likely have a 40% target share again, but he could live in the 30% range for the next month-plus, and if he does, he will be a must-start wide receiver. I would expect it costs 20% of your FAB to secure Brown, and if you are weak at wide receiver, he could be worth it.

  • Chiefs' Marquise Brown: Week 2 Waiver Priority List

We don't know how long Xavier Worthy (shoulder) will be out, and Rashee Rice is suspended for five more games. Brown had 16 targets in Week 1 against the Chargers in the game Worthy was injured and finished with 10 catches for 99 yards. There's going to be a lot of volume for Brown, which might be the case even when Worthy is healthy until Rice returns. Brown is worth adding in all leagues for 10-15 percent of your remaining FAB. In deeper leagues, you can also consider adding JuJu Smith-Schuster (2 percent rostered) for 1 percent of your FAB since he had five catches for 55 yards on five targets against the Chargers.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Good to go for Week 1

Kansas City head coach Andy Reid said Tuesday that Brown (ankle) has been a full practice participant this week and will be available for Friday's season opener versus the Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports. Brown didn't play in any preseason contests after tweaking his right ankle early in training camp, but he's been able to practice for about two weeks and said that he's feeling "really good" heading into Friday's contest, per Matt McMullen of the team's official site. With Rashee Rice (suspension) set to miss the first six contests of the season, a healthy Brown could see added involvement in the passing game early on. After requiring shoulder surgery last September, the veteran was limited to just two regular-season and three postseason contests in 2024 and struggled to forge a connection with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, reeling in just 14 of 28 targets for 141 yards and no touchdowns over 159 total snaps.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Back at practice

Brown (ankle/foot) has resumed practicing, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com, Brown did a little work Sunday and will do a bit more Monday, which suggests that the wideout is being eased back in after missing time. In terms of the chances of Brown seeing any action in Friday's preseason finale, Nate Taylor of ESPN.com notes that coach Andy Reid said, "We'll see how he progresses through this thing. It's not a matter of want. He wants to do it. He's taking it slow and we don't want any setbacks."

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Won't play Friday

Brown (ankle/foot) won't play in Friday's preseason contest against the Seahawks, Nate Taylor of ESPN.com reports. Brown remained sidelined during Wednesday's practice, per Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site, and the wideout is now slated to sit out his second straight exhibition contest Friday. Brown's last chance to see preseason snaps will arrive Aug. 22 against the Bears.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Not practicing yet

Brown (ankle/foot) appears slated to sit out Tuesday's practice, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports. Kansas City coach Andy Reid talked up Brown's progress Monday, saying that the veteran wideout has resumed running, but he's still not yet ready to log his first on-field action at practice since July 29. Brown's ankle/foot injury kept him from suiting up for Saturday's preseason contest against the Cardinals, and he still looks uncertain for Friday's exhibition matchup on the road in Seattle.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Making progress toward return

Coach Andy Reid noted Monday that Brown (ankle/foot) is making "great progress" and has resumed running, Nate Taylor of ESPN.com reports. Per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com, Reid indicated that Brown is not dealing with a high-ankle sprain, but even with the wideout's ankle/foot issue improving, there's still not a timetable for his return to action. Brown thus remains iffy for Friday's preseason contest against the Seahawks.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Still not practicing

Brown (ankle) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Given that Brown hasn't practiced since making an early exit from last Tuesday's session, it seems safe to assume that he'll sit out Saturday's preseason opener against the Cardinals. The same applies to fellow WR Rashee Rice, who has missed the Chiefs' last two practices due to a groin injury.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Misses Wednesday's practice

Brown (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Brown and Xavier Worthy (concussion) were among a handful players who left Tuesday's practice early, but McMullen indicated afterward that most (if not all) of their injuries don't appear to be long-term concerns. For now, Brown's status can continue to be viewed as day-to-day.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Tweaks ankle Tuesday

Coach Andy Reid noted after Tuesday's practice that he believes Brown will be fine after suffering an ankle injury during the session, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. That said, Rapoport added that Brown figures to undergo testing to confirm the notion that his ankle issue isn't anything major, but for now we'll continue to view the wideout as day-to-day. The same applies to fellow WR Xavier Worthy, who banged his head prior to exiting Tuesday's practice.

  • Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Targeted five times in AFCCG win

Brown had three receptions on five targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 32-29 AFC Championship Game win over the Bills. Brown's five targets were second among Kansas City receivers after he finished with zero receptions on two targets against the Texans in the divisional round. The veteran wideout could have had a bigger fantasy score if he was able to secure a deep sideline pass from Patrick Mahomes in the second half that hit him in the hands. Brown joins teammates DeAndre Hopkins and JuJu Smith-Schuster as a group of veteran WRs who could either pop off or produce next to nothing when the Chiefs face the Eagles on Feb. 9 in Super Bowl LIX.
