  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Can't produce points in loss

Tagovailoa completed 25 of 40 passes for 261 yards with no touchdowns and one interception while adding one rush for one yard in the Dolphins' 28-6 loss to the Ravens on Thursday night. Tagovailoa's completion percentage and passing yardage numbers weren't objectionable from a fantasy standpoint, but his real-world impact on the Dolphins offense was middling. To be fair, Tagovailoa also was victimized by a couple of fumbles -- the second by Malik Washington early in the fourth quarter on the Ravens' 11-yard line to short-circuit a 12-play, 81-yard drive -- as well as a missed field goal by Riley Patterson. Tagovailoa now has sandwiched a pair of games with zero touchdown passes around the four scoring tosses he recorded against the Falcons in Week 8, and he's up to 11 interceptions on the campaign heading into a Week 10 home matchup against the Bills on Sunday, Nov. 9.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: QBs to Sit

Tagovailoa is another quarterback this week where I like him, but I don't expect him to have a big performance Thursday night at home against Baltimore. He just had 32.2 Fantasy points at Atlanta, but prior to that, he scored fewer than 10 Fantasy points in each of his past two games against the Chargers and Browns. The Ravens have held their past two opposing quarterbacks to fewer than 12 Fantasy points in each game against Matthew Stafford in Week 6 and Caleb Williams in Week 8, and I expect Tagovailoa to score fewer than 20 Fantasy points in this game.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Week 9 Waiver Priority List

We'll see if Tagovailoa just had a surprise outing in Week 8 at Atlanta with 32.2 Fantasy points, or if this is a sign of things to come. He's had an up-and-down season so far with four games of at least 19.7 Fantasy points and three games with 8.6 points or less, and he might be tough to trust, including in Week 9 against the Ravens. But starting in Week 11, Tagovailoa faces Washington, then a bye, New Orleans, the Jets, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, and those are all favorable matchups. It might not be a bad idea to stash Tagovailoa in deeper leagues for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Outstanding in four-TD performance

Tagovailoa completed 20 of 26 passes for 205 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in the Dolphins' 34-10 win over the Falcons on Sunday. Tagovailoa came into the afternoon dealing with an illness that forced him onto the injury report early Sunday morning, but he and the Dolphins conquered heavy odds to deliver a completely unexpected comfortable victory. Tagovailoa tossed a season-high four touchdown passes, hitting running backs De'Von Achane and Ollie Gordon from three and 20 yards out, respectively, and sandwiching those throws around nine- and 43-yard scoring strikes to Malik Washington and Jaylen Waddle. This was a much-needed respite from both individual and team struggles for Tagovailoa and his teammates, but he'll have to turn around and face another talented defense in that of the Ravens during a Week 9 home matchup Thursday night.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Feeling ill, but will start

The Dolphins added Tagovailoa to their injury report due to an illness, but he has no designation for Sunday's game in Atlanta and is expected to start against the Falcons. Tagovailoa was a full participant in practice throughout the week, but he may have fallen an ill at some point Friday or Saturday. In any case, whatever ailment Tagovailoa is dealing with won't prevent him from playing Sunday, though it's possible that he'll be operating at less than 100 percent health. The bout with the illness won't do Tagovailoa any favors as he looks to bounce back from a pair of poor showings in Week 6 and 7 losses to the Chargers and Browns, respectively, during which he completed 33 of 55 throws for 5.5 yards per attempt and a 1:6 TD:INT.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: QBs to Sit

Tagovailoa is on the verge of getting benched, and he comes into Week 8 at Atlanta with six interceptions and just 305 passing yards in his past two games against the Chargers and Browns. It will be tough for Tagovailoa to break out of his slump against the Falcons, who are No. 2 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Only Baker Mayfield in Week 1 and Marcus Mariota in Week 4 have scored more than 20 Fantasy points against Atlanta, including Josh Allen and Mac Jones in the past two games. Tagovailoa is only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 8.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Remains starter for Week 8

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Tagovailoa will start on the road versus Atlanta on Sunday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports. Tagovailoa was benched late in the fourth quarter of Miami's 31-6 loss to the Browns in Week 7, a matchup that saw the fifth-year pro succumb to adverse weather conditions and throw three interceptions with zero touchdowns and only 130 passing yards. He had previously also thrown three interceptions in the Dolphins' loss to the Chargers in Week 6. Rookie seventh-round pick Quinn Ewers didn't fare much better than Tagovailoa, as he nearly threw an INT on his first snap, fumbled two plays later and ended the game with five completions for 53 yards on eight pass attempts. Now sitting at a 1-6 record, McDaniel and Tagovialoa may both be at risk of losing their positions if the team can't right the ship against the Falcons, a task that will be all the more difficult with tight end Darren Waller (pectoral) looking unlikely to be available.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Another three picks in defeat

Tagovailoa completed 12 of 23 passes for 130 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions while adding three rushes for six yards in the Dolphins' 31-6 loss to the Browns on Sunday. The Dolphins offense hit its 2025 nadir to date in the lopsided defeat, and Tagovailoa's play stood out front and center. The sixth-year veteran's first interception of the day -- which resulted in a pick-six -- came on a deflection off De'Von Achane's hands, although Tagovailoa's throw was high and off target. The subsequent pair of picks transpired on back-to-back possessions in the fourth quarter, and head coach Mike McDaniel opted to keep the 2020 first-round pick on the sideline after the second of those miscues. Tagovailoa came into the afternoon fresh off another three-interception tally at home versus the Chargers in Week 6, and it may be fair to question his hold on the starting job heading into a thorny Week 8 road matchup against a talented Falcons defense.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: QBs to Sit

Tagovailoa looked great in Week 5 against Carolina with 28.7 Fantasy points, but he regressed in a major way in Week 6 against the Chargers with just 8.6 points. Now, he has to face a brutal Browns defense, and only two quarterbacks this season have scored more than 16.6 Fantasy points against Cleveland (Lamar Jackson in Week 2 and Aaron Rodgers in Week 6), including matchups with Joe Burrow, Jordan Love, and Jared Goff. I'm nervous to start Tagovailoa in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 7, and this should be a rough game for him on the road.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Plagued by turnovers in loss

Tagovailoa completed 21 of 32 passes for 205 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions while adding one carry for four yards in the Dolphins' 29-27 loss to the Chargers on Sunday. Tagovailoa's turnover issues persisted in the narrow loss, although the last of his three interceptions came on a last-gasp play to close out the contest. The 2020 first-round pick's first two INTs were much more ill-timed, as Tagovailoa short-circuited drives at the Chargers' 39-yard line and his own 37, which led to 10 points for Los Angeles. Tagovailoa did lead Miami to two fourth-quarter touchdown drives and capped the second one off with a seven-yard scoring toss to Darren Waller with 46 seconds remaining, but he also undeniably played a direct part in the Dolphins falling to 1-5. Tagovailoa's Week 7 matchup is far from ideal in terms of his quest to atone for the turnover-filled performance, as a road trip to Cleveland to face the Browns' aggressive defense awaits.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: QBs to Sit

Tagovailoa ironically had his best game of the season in Week 5 at Carolina with 28.7 Fantasy points in the first outing without Tyreek Hill (knee). But in Week 6, I expect Tagovailoa to struggle against the Chargers, who are No. 7 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. No quarterback has thrown for multiple touchdowns against the Chargers this season, including Patrick Mahomes, Bo Nix and Jayden Daniels. And Mahomes and Daniels are the only quarterbacks with more than 225 passing yards against Los Angeles this year. Tagovailoa is only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 6.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Three-TD day wasted Sunday

Tagovailoa completed 27 of 36 passes for 256 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions and added one rush for five yards in the Dolphins' 27-24 loss to the Panthers on Sunday. Tagovailoa managed well in his first game without Tyreek Hill (IR, knee), focusing a majority of his attention, as expected, on the trio of Jaylen Waddle, Darren Waller and De'Von Achane. The three pass catchers were responsible for Tagovailoa's three TD tosses and 17 of his completions overall. The 2020 first-round pick has multiple touchdown passes in four straight games -- and Sunday's tally was a season high -- but with Miami at 1-4, the overall long-term outlook for the Dolphins is bleak. A Week 6 home matchup against the Chargers could be an uphill battle for the short-handed offensive unit as well, even when factoring in Los Angeles' struggles against the Commanders in Week 5.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Week 5 Waiver Priority List

The good news is Tagovailoa passed for 177 yards and two touchdowns against the Jets on Monday night in Week 4, and the Dolphins got an amazing debut out of Darren Waller, who scored twice. The bad news is Tyreek Hill (knee) is likely out for the season. That said, I'll still trust Tagovailoa as a low-end starter in Week 5 against the Panthers, and Carolina just allowed Drake Maye to score 27 Fantasy points in Week 4. Tagovailoa will be a borderline No. 1 quarterback in all leagues in this matchup, and he's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Sleeper QBs

Tagovailoa only scored 16.8 Fantasy points in Week 3 at Buffalo, but he played well until a late interception in the fourth quarter. He scored 22.6 Fantasy points in his last home game against New England in Week 2, and he is averaging 26.1 Fantasy points in his past five home games, going back to last season. One of those outings was against the Jets in Week 14 when he scored 27.5 Fantasy points, and I like Tagovailoa as a low-end starter in this matchup on Monday night.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Critical INT seals another loss

Tagovailoa completed 22 of 34 passes for 146 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while adding two rushes for 10 yards in the Dolphins' 31-21 loss to the Bills on Thursday night. He also fumbled once but recovered. Tagovailoa didn't come close to following up his 315-yard tally from Sunday's loss to the Patriots, although he did manage to throw multiple touchdown passes for the second straight contest. He connected with Jaylen Waddle (three yards) and Tyreek Hill (five yards) for his pair of scoring tosses Thursday, but his interception on what appeared to be a poor read at the Bills' 17-yard line with just over three minutes remaining ended up being the decisive play in Miami's third loss in as many games to open 2025. The 2020 first-round pick now has thrown for under 150 yards in two of the first three games of the season while also tossing at least one pick in each contest, depressing his fantasy stock heading into a Week 4 home matchup against the Jets on Monday night, Sept. 29.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: QBs to Sit

Tagovailoa performed better in Week 2 against New England with 22.6 Fantasy points than he did in Week 1 at Indianapolis when he scored just 7.3 points. We'll see what happens in Week 3 at Buffalo, but Tagovailoa doesn't have the best history against the Bills. He scored 21.5 Fantasy points at Buffalo in Week 9 last season, but he's averaging just 15.0 points against the Bills in his past seven meetings. Tagovailoa is only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues on Thursday night.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Week 3 Waiver Priority List

I'm not sure you want to trust Tagovailoa in Week 3 at Buffalo, but he gets the Jets and Carolina after that. Tagovailoa bounced back from his Week 1 disaster at the Colts (7.3 Fantasy points) with a strong outing against the Patriots in Week 2 with 315 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception. The Dolphins still have a lot to prove after starting 0-2, and they could be 0-3 after Thursday's game against the Bills. But Tagovailoa can still deliver as a low-end starter in all leagues, and he's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Big numbers in close loss

Tagovailoa completed 26 of 32 passes for 315 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the Dolphins' 33-27 loss to the Patriots on Sunday. Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' offense as a whole were in dire straits over the first quarter-plus as the Patriots raced out to a 12-0 lead. Matters took a turn for the better in the second quarter when Tagovailoa hit Jaylen Waddle and De'Von Achane for touchdown passes of 18 and 29 yards, respectively. However, although Tagovailoa was able to compile some yardage in the second half, he wasn't able to lead Miami to anything other than a pair of field goals, as the Dolphins' other second-half points came from a Malik Washington 74-yard punt return touchdown. The Dolphins already have their backs against the wall at 0-2, making Thursday night's Week 3 road matchup against the Bills a critical early-season game for Tagovailoa and his teammates.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Adds/Streamers (QB Preview)

As bad as the Dolphins were in Week 1, I don't want to lose track of the fact that Tagovailoa still has Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and De'Von Achane at his disposal. One very bad, miserable game is not enough for me to give up on them, especially with a matchup against New England, who just got torched through the air. Maybe more importantly, no streamer ranks inside my top 12 at the position this week, so there is a good chance you should just start your starter.

  • Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Forgettable performance in loss

Tagovailoa completed 14 of 23 passes for 114 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while adding one rush for seven yards in the Dolphins' 33-8 loss to the Colts on Sunday. He also lost a fumble and threw a two-point conversion pass. In a harbinger of the type of game it would be for the Dolphins offense and Tagovailoa in particular, the 2020 first-round pick sailed a pass intended for Tyreek Hill very high on the opening drive, leading to an interception by Camryn Bynum. The veteran signal-caller then handed the ball to the Colts again on the next possession, losing a fumble recovered by former teammate Xavien Howard. Tagovailoa would go on to short-circuit another possession with a third-quarter interception in Indianapolis territory, and only his 11-yard touchdown pass to De'Von Achane and subsequent two-point conversion pass to Julian Hill in the fourth quarter gave the signal-caller's fantasy day any semblance of respectability. Tagovailoa's first opportunity for atonement comes in a Week 2 home matchup next Sunday against a Patriots defense that allowed 362 yards to the Raiders' Geno Smith in Week 1 while playing without Christian Gonzalez (hamstring).
