Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Plagued by turnovers in loss
Rotowire
Tagovailoa completed 21 of 32 passes for 205 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions while adding one carry for four yards in the Dolphins' 29-27 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
Tagovailoa's turnover issues persisted in the narrow loss, although the last of his three interceptions came on a last-gasp play to close out the contest. The 2020 first-round pick's first two INTs were much more ill-timed, as Tagovailoa short-circuited drives at the Chargers' 39-yard line and his own 37, which led to 10 points for Los Angeles. Tagovailoa did lead Miami to two fourth-quarter touchdown drives and capped the second one off with a seven-yard scoring toss to Darren Waller with 46 seconds remaining, but he also undeniably played a direct part in the Dolphins falling to 1-5. Tagovailoa's Week 7 matchup is far from ideal in terms of his quest to atone for the turnover-filled performance, as a road trip to Cleveland to face the Browns' aggressive defense awaits.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: QBs to Sit
Rotowire
Tagovailoa ironically had his best game of the season in Week 5 at Carolina with 28.7 Fantasy points in the first outing without Tyreek Hill (knee). But in Week 6, I expect Tagovailoa to struggle against the Chargers, who are No. 7 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. No quarterback has thrown for multiple touchdowns against the Chargers this season, including Patrick Mahomes, Bo Nix and Jayden Daniels. And Mahomes and Daniels are the only quarterbacks with more than 225 passing yards against Los Angeles this year. Tagovailoa is only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 6.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Logs full practice Thursday
Rotowire
Tagovailoa (hip/left thumb) practiced fully Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
After being limited Wednesday, Tagovailoa's full participation a day later paves the way for him to be ready for Sunday's game against the Chargers, who have dropped two straight games. In terms of the issue with the left thumb on Tagovailoa's throwing hand, Furones previously noted that the QB didn't appear to be hindered on short/intermediate throws during Thursday's session. With Tyreek Hill (knee) out for the season, Tagovailoa's top playmakers going forward figure to be WR Jaylen Waddle, RB De'Von Achane and TE Darren Waller.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Limited practice Wednesday
Rotowire
Tagovailoa (hip/left thumb) was limited at practice Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Tagovailoa, who is coming off a 256-yard, three-TD effort in the Dolphins' 27-24 loss to the Panthers this past Sunday, is now managing two injury concerns ahead of this Sunday's contest against the Chargers. While so far there's nothing to suggest that the QB's Week 6 status is in any danger, Tagovailoa will likely need to practice fully by Friday in order to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Week 6 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Tagovailoa ironically had his best game of the season in the first outing without Tyreek Hill (knee) with 28.7 Fantasy points. It helped that he played Carolina, but Tagovailoa has now combined for 433 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions in his past two games against the Jets and Panthers. Things get a little tougher in Week 6 against the Chargers, Tagovailoa is worth trusting as a low-end starter in all one-quarterback leagues. Even without Hill, he still has plenty of weapons in Jaylen Waddle, Darren Waller and De'Von Achane. And Miami's defense will force Tagovailoa into several shootouts or comeback efforts, making him worth adding for up to 10 percent of your remaining FAB.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Three-TD day wasted Sunday
Rotowire
Tagovailoa completed 27 of 36 passes for 256 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions and added one rush for five yards in the Dolphins' 27-24 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.
Tagovailoa managed well in his first game without Tyreek Hill (IR, knee), focusing a majority of his attention, as expected, on the trio of Jaylen Waddle, Darren Waller and De'Von Achane. The three pass catchers were responsible for Tagovailoa's three TD tosses and 17 of his completions overall. The 2020 first-round pick has multiple touchdown passes in four straight games -- and Sunday's tally was a season high -- but with Miami at 1-4, the overall long-term outlook for the Dolphins is bleak. A Week 6 home matchup against the Chargers could be an uphill battle for the short-handed offensive unit as well, even when factoring in Los Angeles' struggles against the Commanders in Week 5.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Sleeper QBs
Rotowire
This will be Tagovailoa's first game without Tyreek Hill (knee), but I still like Tagovailoa as a low-end starter in all leagues. The Panthers just allowed Drake Maye to score 27 Fantasy points in Week 4, and Tagovailoa should have enough weapons to be productive with Jaylen Waddle, De'Von Achane, Darren Waller and Malik Washington. The last time Tagovailoa played the Panthers in 2023, he passed for 262 yards and three touchdowns, and hopefully he can have a similar stat line in Week 5.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Week 5 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
The good news is Tagovailoa passed for 177 yards and two touchdowns against the Jets on Monday night in Week 4, and the Dolphins got an amazing debut out of Darren Waller, who scored twice. The bad news is Tyreek Hill (knee) is likely out for the season. That said, I'll still trust Tagovailoa as a low-end starter in Week 5 against the Panthers, and Carolina just allowed Drake Maye to score 27 Fantasy points in Week 4. Tagovailoa will be a borderline No. 1 quarterback in all leagues in this matchup, and he's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Sharp in Week 4 win
Rotowire
Tagovailoa completed 17 of 25 passes for 177 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and added three rushes for six yards in the Dolphins' 27-21 win over the Jets on Monday night. He also committed a fumble recovered by Miami.
Tagovailoa put together a relatively tame stat line in terms of his yardage, but the 2020 first-round pick generated his third straight two-touchdown-pass tally with a pair of scoring tosses to the debuting Darren Waller. Tagovailoa did lose Tyreek Hill to a gruesome knee injury, however, so he could be challenged to consistently offer above-average fantasy production moving forward without his No. 1 target. On the bright side, Tagovailoa demonstrated encouraging chemistry with Waller in their first game together and still has other speedy playmakers at his disposal, not to mention a favorable Week 5 road matchup against the Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Sleeper QBs
Rotowire
Tagovailoa only scored 16.8 Fantasy points in Week 3 at Buffalo, but he played well until a late interception in the fourth quarter. He scored 22.6 Fantasy points in his last home game against New England in Week 2, and he is averaging 26.1 Fantasy points in his past five home games, going back to last season. One of those outings was against the Jets in Week 14 when he scored 27.5 Fantasy points, and I like Tagovailoa as a low-end starter in this matchup on Monday night.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Week 4 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Tagovailoa only scored 16.8 Fantasy points in Week 3 at Buffalo, but he played well until he threw an interception late in the fourth quarter of a 31-21 loss. This week, Tagovailoa faces a Jets defense that has allowed two of three quarterbacks to score at least 19 Fantasy points, and Tagovailoa should be considered a high-end No. 2 Fantasy quarterback in this matchup. He's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Critical INT seals another loss
Rotowire
Tagovailoa completed 22 of 34 passes for 146 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while adding two rushes for 10 yards in the Dolphins' 31-21 loss to the Bills on Thursday night. He also fumbled once but recovered.
Tagovailoa didn't come close to following up his 315-yard tally from Sunday's loss to the Patriots, although he did manage to throw multiple touchdown passes for the second straight contest. He connected with Jaylen Waddle (three yards) and Tyreek Hill (five yards) for his pair of scoring tosses Thursday, but his interception on what appeared to be a poor read at the Bills' 17-yard line with just over three minutes remaining ended up being the decisive play in Miami's third loss in as many games to open 2025. The 2020 first-round pick now has thrown for under 150 yards in two of the first three games of the season while also tossing at least one pick in each contest, depressing his fantasy stock heading into a Week 4 home matchup against the Jets on Monday night, Sept. 29.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: QBs to Sit
Rotowire
Tagovailoa performed better in Week 2 against New England with 22.6 Fantasy points than he did in Week 1 at Indianapolis when he scored just 7.3 points. We'll see what happens in Week 3 at Buffalo, but Tagovailoa doesn't have the best history against the Bills. He scored 21.5 Fantasy points at Buffalo in Week 9 last season, but he's averaging just 15.0 points against the Bills in his past seven meetings. Tagovailoa is only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues on Thursday night.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Week 3 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
I'm not sure you want to trust Tagovailoa in Week 3 at Buffalo, but he gets the Jets and Carolina after that. Tagovailoa bounced back from his Week 1 disaster at the Colts (7.3 Fantasy points) with a strong outing against the Patriots in Week 2 with 315 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception. The Dolphins still have a lot to prove after starting 0-2, and they could be 0-3 after Thursday's game against the Bills. But Tagovailoa can still deliver as a low-end starter in all leagues, and he's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Big numbers in close loss
Rotowire
Tagovailoa completed 26 of 32 passes for 315 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the Dolphins' 33-27 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' offense as a whole were in dire straits over the first quarter-plus as the Patriots raced out to a 12-0 lead. Matters took a turn for the better in the second quarter when Tagovailoa hit Jaylen Waddle and De'Von Achane for touchdown passes of 18 and 29 yards, respectively. However, although Tagovailoa was able to compile some yardage in the second half, he wasn't able to lead Miami to anything other than a pair of field goals, as the Dolphins' other second-half points came from a Malik Washington 74-yard punt return touchdown. The Dolphins already have their backs against the wall at 0-2, making Thursday night's Week 3 road matchup against the Bills a critical early-season game for Tagovailoa and his teammates.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Adds/Streamers (QB Preview)
Rotowire
As bad as the Dolphins were in Week 1, I don't want to lose track of the fact that Tagovailoa still has Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and De'Von Achane at his disposal. One very bad, miserable game is not enough for me to give up on them, especially with a matchup against New England, who just got torched through the air. Maybe more importantly, no streamer ranks inside my top 12 at the position this week, so there is a good chance you should just start your starter.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Forgettable performance in loss
Rotowire
Tagovailoa completed 14 of 23 passes for 114 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while adding one rush for seven yards in the Dolphins' 33-8 loss to the Colts on Sunday. He also lost a fumble and threw a two-point conversion pass.
In a harbinger of the type of game it would be for the Dolphins offense and Tagovailoa in particular, the 2020 first-round pick sailed a pass intended for Tyreek Hill very high on the opening drive, leading to an interception by Camryn Bynum. The veteran signal-caller then handed the ball to the Colts again on the next possession, losing a fumble recovered by former teammate Xavien Howard. Tagovailoa would go on to short-circuit another possession with a third-quarter interception in Indianapolis territory, and only his 11-yard touchdown pass to De'Von Achane and subsequent two-point conversion pass to Julian Hill in the fourth quarter gave the signal-caller's fantasy day any semblance of respectability. Tagovailoa's first opportunity for atonement comes in a Week 2 home matchup next Sunday against a Patriots defense that allowed 362 yards to the Raiders' Geno Smith in Week 1 while playing without Christian Gonzalez (hamstring).

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Tagovailoa missed last year's game against the Colts due to a concussion, but he should make up for it in Week 1. He scored at least 27.5 Fantasy points in four of his past six games last season, and the Colts allowed three of their past four opponents in 2024 (Bo Nix, Mason Rudolph, and Drew Lock) to throw at least two touchdowns. De'Von Achane (calf) could be limited in this game, which might force Tagovailoa to air it out, and Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle could make this a track meet on the turf in Indianapolis. I like Tagovailoa as a low-end starter in all leagues, and I'll play the over on his passing touchdowns of 1.5 on FanDuel.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Starters getting some run Saturday
Rotowire
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Thursday he plans for Tagovailoa and Miami's starters to log some action during Saturday's preseason finale against the Jaguars, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
McDaniel said a decision on exactly how much the Dolphins' starters will play Saturday won't come until after joint practices with Jacksonville have concluded, but it doesn't sound as though Tagovailoa and company will be slated for more than a few series at best. Tagovailoa played one drive during Miami's preseason opener against the Bears, but he sat out the team's second exhibition matchup against Detroit. Tyreek Hill (oblique) and starting running back De'Von Achane (calf) don't appear in line to play Saturday.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Starters won't play Saturday
Rotowire
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Friday that he doesn't plan to play Tagovailoa and most starters during Saturday's preseason game against the Lions, David Furones of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Tagovailoa played one drive during Miami's preseason opener against the Bears, completing five of six passes for 27 yards, but he'll rest during the team's second exhibition matchup. Instead, backup Zach Wilson will get the start Saturday while rookie Quinn Ewers enters in relief. Jaylen Waddle returned to team drills this week, but top wideout Tyreek Hill (oblique) remained sidelined Thursday.
