  • Vikings' Matt Lauter: New opportunity with Minnesota

Lauter signed a contract with the Vikings on Monday.

Lauter, who was not selected by a team in the 2026 NFL Draft, was let go by the Titans on Friday just five days after signing with the team. He'll get a new opportunity with the Vikings, and while he's got long odds to crack the 53-man roster, a strong week of training camp practice could be enough to convince Minnesota to keep Lauter around on the practice squad.

  • Matt Lauter: Let go by Tennessee

The Titans waived Lauter on Friday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Lauter signed with the Titans last Sunday after being waived by the Raiders in early May. The tight end had a quick stint with the organization, being waived to make room on the roster for defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon and linebacker Milo Eifler. Lauter will now be placed on waivers, and if he clears will become a free agent able to sign with any franchise.

  • Titans' Matt Lauter: Signs with Tennessee

The Titans signed Lauter to a contract Sunday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Lauter was waived by the Raiders in early May. The undrafted free agent out of Boise State was signed to fill a depth spot in the Titans' tight end corps that was vacated by Jaren Kanak (pectoral). Lauter's signing is a corresponding move to Kanak's placement on season-ending injured reserve, and he will likely only fulfill a meaningful role until the preseason concludes.

  • Matt Lauter: Let go by Vegas

Lauter was waived by the Raiders on Saturday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.

Lauter joined the Raiders as an undrafted free agent Thursday and was let go just two days later. He had a productive collegiate career at Boise State, so he could get another chance around the league.

  • Raiders' Matt Lauter: Inks deal with Raiders

Las Vegas signed Lauter as an undrafted free agent Thursday.

Lauter spent all four of his collegiate campaigns with Boise State and had his best season as a junior, when he caught 47 passes for 619 yards and seven touchdowns over 14 games. The 6-foot-4 tight end took a step back as a senior, however, recording just 330 yards and two TDs on 37 receptions across 13 contests. The Raiders have one of the NFL's best 1-2 combinations at tight end with Brock Bowers (knee) and Michael Mayer, so Lauter probably won't see much game-day action early in his career.
