Fantasy News

  • Eagles' Jeremiah Trotter: Ready for Week 8

Trotter (ankle) does not carry an injury designation heading into Sunday's game against the Giants. Trotter sustained an ankle injury during the Eagles' Week 7 win over the Vikings, which prevented him from returning to the contest. He was unable to practice Wednesday but increased his practice participation over the week and has been cleared to play in Week 8 after logging a full practice Friday. Trotter has mostly served on special teams this season, but his presence also gives the Eagles depth at inside linebacker.

  • Eagles' Jeremiah Trotter: Won't return Week 7

Trotter (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against Minnesota, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Trotter will not return to Sunday's game due to an ankle injury that he sustained in the first half. He's primarily been used on special teams this season, but his loss means the Eagles will have less depth at inside linebacker the rest of the way.

  • Eagles' Jeremiah Trotter: Exits first half early

Trotter (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Vikings. Trotter appeared to suffer an ankle injury in the first half of Sunday's game and is being evaluated to determine if he can return. The 22-year-old was a depth piece on the defense, playing behind linebackers Jihaad Campbell and Zack Baun.

  • Eagles' Jeremiah Trotter: Logs 25 tackles in 2024

Trotter recorded 25 tackles (nine solo), including 0.5 sacks, and one pass defense while appearing in all 17 regular-season games in 2024. He added five stops (four solo) across four postseason games. Trotter played almost exclusively on special teams as a rookie. His only significant playing time on defense came in the 41-7 win against Dallas in Week 17 and the regular-season finale when the Eagles rested the majority of their starters. Meanwhile, veteran linebacker Oren Burks stepped into a starting role after Nakobe Dean suffered a season-ending torn patellar tendon in the wild-card win versus the Packers. With Burks and breakout All-Pro inside linebacker Zack Baun both slated to become unrestricted free agents this offseason, Trotter could be in line for more playing time as a sophomore in 2025.
