  • Colts' Justin Walley: Back from ACL injrury

Walley (knee) told reporters Wednesday that he's been fully cleared to return, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Walley, a 2025 third-round pick from Minnesota, has now fully recovered from an ACL tear that sidelined him for the entirety of his rookie season. With Kenny Moore's release from the Colts in early May, Walley is expected to compete for a starting secondary role as the offseason progresses.

  • Colts' Justin Walley: Nearly finished rehabbing

General manager Chris Ballard said Monday that Walley is at the end of his rehab for the ACL tear he suffered in August of 2025, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.

Walley was unable to play at all last year after tearing his ACL during training camp, but there's optimism he'll be back to full strength when training camp begins in 2026. With veteran starting corner Kenny Moore seeking a trade away from Indianapolis, the team could be in more need of Walley's services when the new season starts than it thought it would be.

  • Colts' Justin Walley: Officially moved to IR

Walley (knee) was placed on injured reserve Friday.

Walley was diagnosed with a torn ACL on Thursday, effectively ending his rookie season. This move now makes that official. The timing of the injury was particularly unfortunate, as Walley was reportedly contending for a starting role at outside corner.

  • Colts' Justin Walley: Leaves practice with knee injury

Walley left Tuesday's training camp practice due to a knee injury, Jake Arthur of SI.com reports.

Walley was unable to complete the second half of practice and was later seen on the field with ice wrapped around his knee. Even with the setback, the rookie third-rounder has put together an impressive training camp and is trending towards starting at outside corner opposite Charvarius Ward (leg). Walley will undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury, which will influence his chances of playing in Thursday's preseason opener against the Ravens.
