  • Bills' Jordan Hancock: Trending towards Week 3 debut

Hancock (shoulder) was listed as a full participant in Monday's walkthrough practice, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.

Hancock suffered a shoulder injury in mid-August, which prevented him from playing in the first two games of the regular season. However, with a full practice Monday, the rookie fifth-rounder is on track towards making his NFL regular-season debut against the Dolphins on Thursday.

  • Bills' Jordan Hancock: Not playing vs. NYJ

Hancock (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets.

The rookie fifth-rounder was trending toward making his NFL regular-season debut after logging back-to-back limited practices to end the week, but he will not suit up Sunday due to a shoulder injury that he suffered in mid-August. Hancock's next chance to play is Thursday against the Dolphins.

  • Bills' Jordan Hancock: Trending towards suiting up Sunday

Hancock (shoulder) was not listed on Buffalo's injury report Wednesday.

Hancock sustained a shoulder injury during the Bills' second preseason game at Chicago, but it looks like he has recovered in time for the regular-season opener. With Tre'Davious White and Christian Benford both tending to groin issues, Hancock could be called upon to play an increased snap count in Week 1.

  • Bills' Jordan Hancock: Suffers shoulder injury

Hancock (shoulder) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's preseason contest against the Bears, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.

Hancock sustained a shoulder injury in the second half of the contest, finishing his day with eight total tackles (five solo), one of which was for a loss. The safety's status will be worth monitoring at practice ahead of Saturday's preseason finale with the Buccaneers.

  • Bills' Jordan Hancock: Taken by Bills in fifth round

The Bills selected Hancock in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 170th overall.

Hancock primarily served as the nickel corner at Ohio State while also mixing in at free safety and on the boundary. The 21-year-old impressed in coverage, but his average athleticism may limit his ceiling at the NFL level. Hancock may be a better fit at safety in the near term because Taron Johnson seemingly has the slot corner role locked down and the Bills drafted cornerback Maxwell Hairston in the first round.
