Aaron Patrick: Doesn't make roster
Patrick (knee) was waived by Denver on Tuesday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.
Patrick was waived without an injury settlement, so it seems as if he's had time to move past his knee issue. The 26-year-old appeared in 17 games throughout his two years in Denver, primarily playing as a special teams ace. He'll now be forced to look for a new home ahead of the coming season.

Patrick (knee) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Patrick suffered a torn ACL in Monday's loss to the Chargers and had already been ruled out for the rest of the season. He was a key contributor on special teams through five games, tallying three total tackles.

Broncos' Aaron Patrick: Season over after ACL tear
Patrick sustained a ruptured ACL on an awkward sideline collision during Monday night's loss at the Chargers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
It's a horrendous stroke of luck for Patrick, who now won't be able to play again until 2023. In the meantime, Denver will have to find a way to replace the linebacker's special teams production.

Patrick was sidelined for the team's Week 5 loss to the Colts due to a concussion he suffered the week prior, but he logged three full practices ahead of Week 6 and will return to action against against the Chargers on Monday Night Football. Patrick has only appeared in two games for the Broncos this season and he's seen a majority of his snaps on special teams. With the 28-year-old linebacker unable to provide depth support for Denver on Thursday, Jonathon Cooper will likely end up seeing extended opportunities.

Patrick is still looking for a chance to make his NFL debut, but the Broncos obviously like his talent enough that he could see such an opportunity with the team. He went undrafted out of Eastern Kentucky in 2020.
