Trevon Diggs: Released by Seattle
The Seahawks released Diggs on Sunday, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
General manager John Schneider says the Seahawks intend to keep Diggs on the practice squad to begin the regular season. The team hopes to let the cornerback further acclimate himself to NFL physicality again, as Diggs had not been in full pads since January. The 27-year-old will be free to join any other team's 53-man roster while this transition period plays out, so there is no explicit guarantee Diggs remains with the Seahawks throughout the 2026 season.

Seahawks' Trevon Diggs: Signing with Seahawks
The Seahawks are slated to sign Diggs to a one-year deal, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The Seahawks are still reportedly planning to sign Terrion Arnold, but given the uncertainty surrounding his playing status, Diggs provides the team with added cornerback depth in the meantime. The 2020 second-rounder is coming off a 2025 regular season in which he combined to record 27 tackles in nine games (eight with Dallas and one with Green Bay).

The Seahawks have been in search of additional talent at cornerback. Former Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold is set to sign with the team, but the league plans to place him on the Commissioner's Exempt List once he signs due to his felony robbery and kidnapping charges. The situation with Arnold likely has the team turning to other options, with former 2021 All-Pro Diggs as one of the market's most alluring free agents. If Super Bowl champion coach Mike MacDonald wants to take a chance on the 27-year-old, Diggs could see a career revival in the NFC West.

Trevon Diggs: Works out with Detroit
The Lions hosted Diggs for a workout Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Diggs was waived by both the Cowboys and Packers last season, mostly due to the cornerback having too much money on the books to maintain. Now a free agent, Diggs is looking for a new place to continue his career. Currently, the Lions have fifth-round rookie Keith Abney set to start opposite D.J. Reed (groin) at cornerback, so the team may be looking for Diggs' veteran presence for the regular season.

Trevon Diggs: Let go by Green Bay
The Packers waived Diggs on Tuesday.
Diggs joined the Packers in late December after being waived by the Cowboys. He played 33 defensive snaps against the Vikings in Week 18 when the Packers' starters rested, but he played just one defensive snap during Green Bay's NFC wild-card loss against Chicago. Per Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com, the Packers were open to restructuring Diggs' contract, and there's a chance that the 2020 second-rounder sticks around in Green Bay for at least the upcoming season.
