  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Returns from PUP

Taylor (undisclosed) was activated from the active/PUP list Sunday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports. The nature of Taylor's injury was never revealed, but it will no longer keep him sidelined in training camp. The 27-year-old is set to reprise his role as the Chiefs' starting right tackle for the third season in a row.

  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Sidelined to start camp

Taylor (undisclosed) was placed on the active/PUP list Sunday, Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com reports. Taylor was managed to close both the regular season and postseason in 2024 due to a knee injury. However, he played through the issue in most weeks, so it's unclear if that issue is still carrying over into 2025.

  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Cleared for Super Bowl LIX

Taylor (knee) practiced in full Friday and does not carry an injury designation for Super Bowl LIX against the Eagles on Feb. 9. Taylor has suited up for each of Kansas City's playoff games so far, so there were never significant concerns about his availability for the Super Bowl. It's possible he'll resume logging limited practices in the coming week, but Taylor can be considered fully on track to start at right tackle versus Philadelphia.

  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Limited in Thursday's practice

Taylor (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. Taylor was able to get a three-week rest for a lingering knee injury due to sitting out in Week 18 against the Broncos and courtesy of the Chiefs' first-round bye. He was able to play in Kansas City's two playoff games, and he'll likely be limited in practices leading up to Super Bowl LIX against Philadelphia on Sunday, Feb. 9 in order to reduce the risk of aggravating his injury.

  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Looking good for divisional round

Taylor (knee) practiced in full Tuesday. Taylor has been dealing with a knee injury since Week 16, and he sat out Kansas City's Week 18 regular-season finale against Denver. That absence may have been partly due to the fact that Chiefs had already wrapped up a first-round playoff bye, though, as the team elected to rest many of its starters. Given his ability to log a full practice session Tuesday, Taylor seems like a very good bet to be able to suit up in Saturday's AFC divisional-round battle versus Houston.

  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Resumes practicing

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Friday that Taylor (knee) is back at practice, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Taylor missed practice with a knee injury leading up to a Week 18 absence, though most of Kansas City's starters sat out the regular-season finale. With the Chiefs having clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC, the starting right tackle will benefit from an extra week of rest before the divisional round of the playoffs.

  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Won't play against Denver

Taylor (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos. Taylor didn't practice all week due to a lingering knee injury. With the Chiefs locked in as the No. 1 seed in the AFC that comes with a first-round bye, Taylor will have two weeks of additional rest before the divisional round. Ethan Driskell is a top candidate to start at right tackle in Sunday's regular-season finale due to Taylor's absence.

  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Good to go Christmas Day

Taylor (knee) is active for Wednesday's Week 17 game against Pittsburgh. Taylor had been questionable heading into Wednesday after straining his knee Saturday against Houston, but the right tackle is going to be able to play. However, the Chiefs' offensive line will still be down a starter, with left tackle D.J. Humphries (hamstring) out for a third straight contest.

  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Questionable to suit up Wednesday

Taylor (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's Week 17 matchup against the Steelers. Taylor strained his knee last Saturday against the Texans and was estimated as a limited participant in practice throughout this week. If he can't play Wednesday, Ethan Driskell or Wanya Morris could be asked to start at right tackle for the Chiefs.

  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Injures knee Saturday

Taylor (knee) is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Texans. Taylor's injury adds to Kansas City's woes along the offensive line. Wanya Morris and Kingsley Suamataia, both of whom had chances to start at left tackle but were benched earlier this season, are the top candidates to play right tackle if Taylor doesn't return.

  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Staying on right side

Taylor will play right tackle during OTAs, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports. Taylor joined the Chiefs in March via free agency, and it was expected he may move to left tackle after playing on the right side with the Jaguars. However, it appears, at least for now, that Donovan Smith will get the first crack at protecting Patrick Mahomes' blindside, while Taylor will man the right tackle spot.

  • Chiefs' Jawaan Taylor: Lands with Chiefs on four-year pact

The Chiefs will agree to terms with Taylor on a four-year, $80 million contract this week, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Taylor and Mike McGlinchey were among the premier tackles available in free agency, and both landed in the AFC West after McGlinchey agreed to terms with the Broncos. The 25-year-old Taylor has played right tackle in the NFL, but he figures to slide to the left side with the Chiefs, as this signing signals the Chiefs are out on free agent tackle Orlando Brown after two seasons. Taylor has never missed a start since being drafted No. 35 overall by the Jaguars in 2019.
