Singletary rushed 14 times for 47 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 34-27 overtime loss to the Lions.
Singletary had 14 touches to Tyrone Tracy's 23. Tracy churned out 130 scrimmage yards and has pulled away from Singletary as the busier and more effective part of the Giants' running back platoon. It won't show up on the stat sheet, but Singletary also touched the ball on Wan'Dale Robinson's 39-yard touchdown catch on the opening drive, tossing the ball back to Jameis Winston on a flea flicker. Whether the Giants get Jaxson Dart (concussion) back or give Winston a third straight start under center in Week 13 against the Patriots, Singletary's likely to continue working as a complementary option alongside Tracy.

But Singletary also played well with 16 carries for 44 yards and two touchdowns and one catch for 3 yards on one target. He's now scored at least 10.3 PPR points in two of three games without Cam Skattebo (ankle), and Singletary can be a flex option in all leagues heading into Week 12 at Detroit. He's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

Singletary wasn't efficient on the ground, but he made up for the modest yardage with five- and two-yard touchdown runs in the first half. The veteran back logged just three fewer carries than Tyrone Tracy, but the latter managed to double up Singletary in rushing yardage and also contributed 51 receiving yards. Consequently, Singletary projects to continue serving in a No. 2 role during a Week 12 road matchup against the Lions.

There are a lot of moving parts with the Giants heading into Week 11 against Green Bay after Brian Daboll was fired Monday, along with Jaxson Dart (concussion) injured. Tyrone Tracy Jr. had a solid game at Chicago in Week 10 with 14 carries for 71 yards and no catches on one target, but Singletary still finished with eight carries for 20 yards and three catches for 53 yards on three targets. We'll see who starts at quarterback for the Giants, but I like Singletary as a flex option at best against the Packers. He's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

Singletary rushed eight times for 20 yards and caught all three of his targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Bears.
Singletary ceded most of the rushing workload to Tyrone Tracy (14 carries for 71 yards), but the former finished with a two-yard advantage in scrimmage yards (73 to 71). Most of Singletary's yardage came on a 41-yard catch on a fourth-quarter pass from Russell Wilson, who came into the game after Jaxson Dart suffered a concussion in the second half. Singletary should continue to platoon with Tracy, but expectations for the Giants' offense would be low if Dart doesn't play in Week 11 against the Packers.

Singletary played more snaps (32-25) and was more productive with eight carries for 43 yards and two catches for 8 yards on two targets compared to five carries for 18 yards and three catches for 19 yards on four targets for Tracy. I would only consider Singletary a flex option in the majority of leagues, but the Bears have allowed a running back to score at least 19.1 PPR points in each of the past two games.

A lot of people, myself included, wasted a lot of FAB on Tyrone Tracy last week only to see Devin Singletary play more snaps and have more touches. Singletary's role still wasn't great, he only played 56% of the snaps and only had 10 touches, but he looks like the Giants running back to roster, if you have to. If nothing else, I would expect him to be the short yardage back, which makes him the most likely to score a touchdown.

I'm not ready to drop Tracy yet, but Singletary is worth adding in all leagues heading into Week 10 at Chicago. He could be a flex option in deeper formats if he continues to lead the Giants backfield in playing time and touches, and Singletary is worth adding for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

Singletary outplayed Tyrone Tracy in the first game after Cam Skattebo's season-ending ankle injury. Tracy turned five carries and four targets into 37 scrimmage yards. The Giants' only rushing touchdown of the game was scored by Jaxson Dart, who also led the team with 56 rushing yards. Skattebo's injury will likely thrust Tyrone Tracy back into the No. 1 role, while Singletary should settle in as Tracy's backup. The Giants also seem likely to add another tailback to the 53-man roster, which could mean that Dante Miller will get elevated or signed off the team's practice squad. After Skattebo was hurt in the second quarter Sunday, Tracy logged seven carries and drew two targets on a 64 percent offensive snap share while Singletary tallied two carries and one target on a 19 percent snap share, which could hint at how the time will be split between the pair moving forward. Singletary didn't gain any yards on his two totes but notched a 28-yard reception on his only target. He also gained 51 yards on a pair of kick returns in the loss.

Singletary continued to get a bit of work even with the return of Tyrone Tracy to New York's backfield, but neither Singletary nor Tracy did anything of note. Meanwhile, rookie Cam Skattebo continued to cement his status as the team's workhorse back with 19 carries for 98 yards and three touchdowns along with two catches for 12 yards. Skattebo was on the field for 71 percent of the Giants' offensive plays, followed by Tracy at 30 percent and Singletary at a modest six percent (four total snaps). Given that usage, it appears Singletary will fade back into the No. 3 RB role when both Skattebo and Tracy are healthy, giving the veteran very little fantasy value.

For the second straight week, Singletary worked as New York's No. 2 RB behind Cam Skattebo. That role didn't yield much production for the veteran ball carrier, however, as he totaled a modest 24 yards on seven touches. Singletary's six carries and 20 rushing yards were actually third on the Giants -- Skattebo ran 15 times for 59 yards, while QB Jaxson Dart rushed seven times for 55 yards -- though no other tailback on the team took an offensive snap. Singletary's time as Skattebo's backup may be coming to an end, as Tyrone Tracy (shoulder) was able to practice last Friday in a limited fashion before ultimately being deemed inactive. With that said, New York has a short turnaround with a Thursday matchup against Philadelphia on tap, so Singletary could get one more chance to log a handful of carries Week 6.

Tyrone Tracy is slated to miss time after dislocating his shoulder in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs, per Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com, so Singletary likely will move up to the Giants' No. 2 RB role.
It's unclear at this point how long Tracy will be sidelined, but it's likely that he'll miss at least next Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Chargers, and there's a very real possibility that he'll be sidelined beyond that contest as well. Rookie Cam Skattebo was impressive in racking up 121 yards from scrimmage (60 rushing and 61 receiving) while taking on the bulk of the backfield work Sunday night, and he's the obvious choice to move up to the RB1 role while Tracy is sidelined (and possibly beyond). Singletary wasn't a big part of the team's offense against the Chiefs despite Tracy's early exit, but he did log a season-high four carries and 11 rushing yards while also serving as the team's top kick returner with 134 return yards. The Giants may ultimately decide to deploy Skattebo in a workhorse role, and the club will likely add a running back to the game-day roster (possibly Dante Miller off the practice squad) while Tracy is out, but regardless, Singletary seems to be in line for at least a slight bump in usage in the short term.

Tracy and Skattebo provide promise as a young and talented one-two punch, which could lead to Singletary taking on a reduced role in New York's offense. However, the veteran still appears to be a lock for the roster, both because his experience is valued on and off the field and, perhaps more importantly, because the Giants wouldn't gain any cap savings if they were to release him. After signing a three-year, $16.5 million contract with New York in March of 2024, Singletary ceded lead ball-carrying duties to Tracy over the course of last year and averaged just 3.9 YPC over 113 rushes across 15 contests, adding 21 receptions on 24 targets for 119 yards.
