Chargers' Ty Shelby: Inks new deal with Bolts
The Chargers signed Shelby (groin) to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Shelby spent the preseason with the Chargers before reverting to IR with a groin injury in August. The undrafted rookie was then waived from this list with an injury settlement Aug. 31, and he'll now get another chance to earn a new roster spot heading into the 2023 campaign.

Ty Shelby: Waived from injured reserve
The Chargers waived Shelby (groin) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Shelby suffered the injury in mid-August and was placed on injured reserve, which would've ended his season. However, once healthy, the undrafted rookie will be free to sign with a new team in 2022.

Chargers' Ty Shelby: Moves to IR
Shelby (groin) reverted to injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Shelby suffered the injury sometime last week and was unable to play in the Chargers' preseason contest with the Saints on Friday. Unless he is able to reach an injury settlement with the team, he'll be forced to miss the entire 2022 season.

Ty Shelby: Waived/injured Tuesday
Shelby (groin) was waived with an injury designation by the Chargers on Tuesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Shelby picked up a groin injury earlier this week, likely leading the Chargers to drop him ahead of Tuesday's 80-man roster deadline. The undrafted rookie will likely revert to the team's injured reserve, upon clearing waivers.

Chargers' Ty Shelby: May miss Friday
Shelby (groin) is expected to miss Friday's preseason game against the Saints, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Shelby linked up with the Chargers in May as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana-Monroe. The 23-year-old will work to get healthy quickly so he can continue to try and earn a roster spot.
