Brown-Dukes, who signed with the team in June, did not have much to be optimistic about in terms of his chances of making it through final cuts. The 25-year-old was stuck as the seventh running back on the depth chart. He presumably will clear waivers and look for an opportunity with another team.

Brown-Dukes was released by the Steelers on Tuesday, Dale Lolley of The Observer reports.
The Steelers trimmed down their roster with four cuts Tuesday, including Brown-Dukes. The Mercyhurst product was a long shot to make the team given that Pittsburgh has one of the most crowded running back rooms in the league at this point in the offseason. He could land with a team looking to add some running back depth during training camp.
