Herbert completed 29 of his 38 pass attempts for 264 yards and two touchdowns in the 29-27 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
Despite being under duress for most of the game, Herbert was excellent moving around the pocket and extending time to create enough room to hit Ladd McConkey (7-100-1) on a number of crossing routes, while Oronde Gadsden had his biggest game of his young career as an underneath safety net. The emergence of Kimani Vidal as a legitimate piece of the rushing attack, albeit against a porous run defense, could do wonders to help Herbert steady the ship with multiple offensive lineman banged up with varying injuries.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Herbert will likely have to carry the Chargers offense with Omarion Hampton (ankle) out, and this is the perfect matchup for him to thrive. The Dolphins are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and Bryce Young in Week 5 is the lone quarterback who failed to score at least 29 Fantasy points against Miami this year. Herbert has scored 16.6 Fantasy points or less in three games in a row, but I'm expecting him to get back on track in this matchup on the road, even with Quentin Johnston (hamstring) not expected to play. Herbert should be fine leaning on Keenan Allen and Ladd McConkey in this game.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Hot start fading quick
Rotowire
Herbert completed 22 of 29 pass attempts for 166 yards, one touchdown and one interception while taking four carries for 60 yards in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Commanders.
Herbert did not look comfortable in the pocket without starting left tackle Joe Alt (ankle) on Sunday, finishing below 200 yards passing for the first time this season. The 27-year-old was sacked four times while throwing his fourth interception of the season, all of which have come during his current three-game skid. Things got so bad that head coach Jim Harbaugh turned to backup QB Trey Lance in garbage time of Sunday's loss. Herbert did salvage his fantasy day a bit by providing managers with a season high of 60 yards on the ground. The talented signal-caller will attempt to get his season back on track against the fledgling Dolphins next Sunday.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Herbert got off to a hot start this season with at least 22.8 Fantasy points in his first two games against the Chiefs and Raiders, but he's cooled off lately with 16.6 points or less in each of his past two outings against Denver and the Giants. I expect him to get back on track this week against the Commanders, who have allowed three quarterbacks in a row (Jordan Love, Geno Smith and Michael Penix Jr.) to each score at least 22.7 Fantasy points. All three of those quarterbacks passed for at least 289 yards and two touchdowns, and Herbert has the chance for a big outing in this matchup at home.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Picked off twice in loss
Rotowire
Herbert completed 23 of 41 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Giants. He added 24 rushing yards on his only carry and ran for a two-point conversion.
The 27-year-old quarterback committed multiple turnovers for the first time in 2025 while throwing for a season low in passing yards as the Chargers took their first loss, but Herbert did salvage his day to some extent with a 36-yard TD to Quentin Johnston late in the second quarter. Herbert still has a respectable 7:3 TD:INT through four games heading into a Week 5 tilt against a Commanders defense that just gave up career-best numbers to the Falcons' Michael Penix.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Herbert just had his worst Fantasy game of the season in Week 3 against Denver with 16.6 points, but he threw for 300 yards for the second time this year. He only ran for 6 yards against the Broncos after averaging 31.5 yards in his first two games of the season, and he had his first interception. He should get back on track against the Giants, who have allowed two of three quarterbacks this season to score at least 22.1 Fantasy points. I like Herbert as a top-five Fantasy quarterback in this matchup.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Stellar in win
Rotowire
Herbert completed 28 of 47 pass attempts for 300 passing yards to go along with a touchdown and an interception in a 23-20 win over the Broncos on Sunday. He also scrambled twice for six yards.
Herbert made two absolutely stunning throws in this one, the latter connecting for a game-tying touchdown by Keenan Allen on a broken play in the fourth quarter. The sixth-year quarterback has been absolutely scintillating to start 2025 and does not appear to be flustered by any matchup. Even Herbert's lone blemish came on a dropped pass that caromed back to the waiting arms of Broncos safety Brandon Jones. Sunday's 47 pass attempts is tied for the Pro Bowler's most since 2023 and seemed to be a byproduct of the team trying to claw back during a second half that largely saw the Chargers trailing.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Normally we would avoid the Broncos matchup, but Herbert is playing too well right now to sit. He's scored at least 22.8 Fantasy points in each of his first two games against the Chiefs and Raiders, and I love that he's averaging 31.5 rushing yards per game. He scored 26.2 Fantasy points against Denver at home in Week 16 last year, and the Broncos just allowed Daniel Jones to score 24.8 Fantasy points in Week 2.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Efficient in Monday win
Rotowire
Herbert completed 19 of 27 attempts for 242 yards and two touchdowns in Monday's 20-9 win over the Raiders. He also led the team in rushing on nine attempts for 31 yards but fumbled once.
Herbert took what the defense gave him all evening, and the Raiders never seemed to have an answer. The sixth-year quarterback efficiently marched down the field whenever Los Angeles needed a sustaining drive, and were it not for the ineptitude of Geno Smith and company on the other side, Herbert probably could have pressed further for a bigger game. It's clear the 27-year-old is looking to be more mobile in 2025, as that's now back-to-back games with 30 or more rushing yards, a feat he accomplished just four times total last season.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: To play a series or two Saturday
Rotowire
Herbert will start Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
With regard to to the Chargers' approach to the contest, coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed Thursday, "We're going to play starters on Saturday." As for Herbert, who is in line to make his first-ever preseason appearance, Harbaugh said that the QB is expected to play "a series, could be two," along with the team's other offensive starters. Beyond that, Harbaugh expects both Trey Lance (hand) and Taylor Heinicke to log snaps this weekend.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Won't play in Hall of Fame Game
Rotowire
Coach Jim Harbaugh said Tuesday that "traditional" starters, such as Herbert, won't suit up for Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Lions, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
This comes as no surprise, as the Chargers will have three more opportunities for their top talent to get in some reps before Week 1. In Herbert's place, Trey Lance will get the nod under center over presumed No. 2 QB Taylor Heinicke. As for Herbert and the rest of the starters, their next chance for exhibition action will arrive Sunday, Aug. 10 versus the Saints.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Throws four picks in ugly loss
Rotowire
Herbert completed 14 of 32 pass attempts for 242 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions with no rushing stats in Saturday's wild-card round loss to the Texans.
Herbert picked an inopportune time to have the worst passing game of his promising career, as Saturday's four-pick performance was the primary cause of the Chargers' season coming to an abrupt end. The 26-year-old is now 0-2 in two career playoff appearances, which comes on the heels of a solid regular season (3,870-23-3) in head coach Jim Harbaugh's first season with Los Angeles. Herbert and the Chargers' more-balanced offense will have to regroup for the 2025 campaign despite finishing the season well ahead of franchise expectations.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Piles up yardage against tough D
Rotowire
Herbert completed 23 of 31 passes for 284 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the Chargers' 34-27 win over the Broncos on Thursday night. He also rushed eight times for 28 yards and threw a two-point conversion pass.
Herbert put together a mostly crisp performance that saw him generate his highest passing yardage total since Week 11. The 2020 first-round pick brought the Chargers back from an 11-point third-quarter deficit, connecting with Derius Davis (19 yards) and Hassan Haskins (34 yards) for his pair of touchdown tosses and hitting Joshua Palmer with a two-point conversion pass after the first score. Herbert's clutch second-half performance pushed the Chargers into a tie in the standings with the Broncos at 9-6, and the talented signal-caller will look to carry over the momentum into a Week 17 road battle versus the Patriots on Saturday, Dec. 28.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: QBs to Sit
Rotowire
Herbert heads into Thursday's game against Denver having scored 17.8 Fantasy points or less in four games in a row against Baltimore, Atlanta, Kansas City and Tampa Bay. He's been dealing with an ankle injury, which could explain why he's only rushed for 13 yards in his past three games. Herbert was held to 15.7 Fantasy points in Week 6 at Denver, and the Broncos have only allowed two quarterbacks all season to score at least 20 Fantasy points (Lamar Jackson in Week 9 and Jameis Winston in Week 13). I would only start Herbert in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 16.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: No injury designation
Rotowire
Herbert (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game against the Broncos.
The Chargers held a walk-through practice Wednesday but estimated that Herbert would have been a full participant in a more strenuous session. He was listed with ankle and thigh injuries last week, before suiting up and completing 21 of 33 passes for 195 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in a 40-17 loss to Tampa Bay. Another loss Thursday night would make the Chargers highly unlikely to enter the AFC playoffs as anything better than the No. 7 seed, while a win would keep them in the running for the fifth or sixth seed.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Limited in practice Tuesday
Rotowire
Herbert (ankle) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice session.
Herbert's limited participation Tuesday followed his designation as limited in Monday's walkthrough. The star quarterback is still dealing with an ankle injury he suffered in Week 14 against Kansas City, though the issue didn't prevent him from suiting up this past Sunday in a loss to Tampa Bay. Barring a setback, Herbert seems to be in line to play against Denver on Thursday Night Football this week.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Throws first pick since September
Rotowire
Herbert completed 21 of 33 pass attempts for 195 yards, two touchdowns and one interception without recording a rushing attempt in Sunday's 40-17 loss to Tampa Bay.
Herbert was limited in practice by a pair of lower-body injuries, but he did not carry an injury designation into Sunday's blowout loss. The star quarterback threw his first interception in nearly three calendar months (Week 2 at Carolina) after the team adopted head coach Jim Harbaugh's mistake-free style of play. It was an overall odd game from Herbert, who also did not record an official rushing attempt for the first time this season. The Chargers will need to have a short memory following the ugly loss before hosting the 9-5 Broncos on Thursday Night Football in Week 16.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Returns to limited practice
Rotowire
Herbert (ankle/thigh) was limited at practice Thursday.
After being deemed a non-participant Wednesday, the QB's return to a capped session one day later has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Friday's final injury report will reveal whether Herbert is given a Week 15 designation, but at this stage it would be surprising if he's not available this weekend.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Back at practice
Rotowire
Herbert (ankle/thigh) returned to practice Thursday, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Herbert -- who is dealing with a left ankle injury as well as a thigh contusion, per Kris Rhim of ESPN.com -- missed practice Wednesday, but the QB's presence at Thursday's session is a good sign with regard to his status for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. The Chargers' upcoming injury report will clarify Herbert's official participation level, in any case.

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Muted fantasy day
Rotowire
Herbert completed 16 of his 23 pass attempts for 147 yards in the 17-13 win over the Falcons on Sunday. He also tallied one yard on five carries.
Herbert and the offense were content allowing the Falcons to beat themselves, and Kirk Cousins obliged en route to four interceptions, including a pick-six. It's not necessarily something actionable, but in J.K. Dobbins' (knee) first game on injured reserve, the Chargers' offense tallied just 17 carries for 56 yards, which in turn dramatically impacted Herbert's ability to dice up the defense via play action. What's more, Ladd McConkey, the rookie wideout who caught nine of Herbert's 16 completions Sunday, has been laboring through a shoulder injury for much of the past three weeks and then ended up leaving the contest with a knee issue.
