  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Efficient in Week 9 win

Herbert completed 19 of 29 passes for 250 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Titans. He added nine rushes for 57 yards and an additional score. Herbert accounted for the majority of his production in the first half, racking up 186 yards on 20 attempts through two quarters. He was efficient throughout the game, completing five passes of 20 yards while also tossing for scores of 19 and two yards. While Herbert was limited as a passer in the second half due to game script, he managed to punch in his third touchdown of the contest with a one-yard rushing score early in the fourth quarter. Herbert now has multiple touchdowns in four consecutive matchups heading into a Week 10 game against Pittsburgh.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Three TDs in big win

Herbert completed 18 of 25 passes for 227 yards with three touchdowns and one interception while adding seven rushes for 62 yards in the Chargers' 37-10 win over the Vikings on Thursday night. Herbert faced an uphill battle coming in, considering the aggressive tendencies of the Vikings' defense and makeshift nature of his offensive line. However, the sixth-year pro and his teammates performed admirably, heating up starting in the latter portion of the first quarter and clicking from that point forward. Herbert connected with Oronde Gadsden from eight yards out for the first points of the night, and he then launched a beautifully thrown 27-yard scoring strike to Ladd McConkey down the right sideline just before halftime. Herbert capped things off with a six-yard TD toss to rookie Tre' Harris early in the fourth quarter while subsequently leading Los Angeles to another pair of scoring drives that culminated in Cameron Dicker field goals. Herbert now has back-to-back three-touchdown tallies within a span of five days heading into a favorable Week 9 road matchup against the Titans on Sunday, Nov. 2.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: QBs to Start

Herbert threw two interceptions in Week 7 against the Colts, but he also had 420 passing yards and three touchdowns, along with 31 rushing yards. He attempted 55 passes, and this is now the third time in his past five outings with at least 41 attempts, which we love. He will likely be throwing a lot Thursday night against the Vikings, who have allowed five touchdown passes in their past two games against Dillon Gabriel and Jalen Hurts. Herbert has top-five upside in this matchup at home.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Tops 400 yards in Week 7 loss

Herbert completed 37 of 55 passes for 420 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions in Sunday's 38-24 loss to the Colts. He added 31 rushing yards on six carries. The 420 yards were a career high for Herbert, exceeding the 405 yards he racked up in 2023 during a Week 3 meeting with the Vikings. Most of that production came in the second half Sunday, including all three of the QB's touchdowns -- strikes to Quentin Johnston and Keenan Allen in the third quarter and Oronde Gadsden in the fourth, all in the red zone -- as the Chargers tried in vain to rally from a 23-3 halftime deficit. Herbert will take a 13:6 TD:INT through seven starts into a Week 8 meeting with the 2025 edition of a Minnesota defense that just got torched by Jalen Hurts.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: QBs to Start

Herbert snapped out of his three-game slump in Week 6 at Miami with 22.8 Fantasy points. Prior to that, he scored 16.6 Fantasy points or less in three games in a row, but he should continue to play well in Week 7 against the Colts. Indianapolis has allowed two of the past three opposing quarterbacks to score at least 24.7 Fantasy points, which includes Matthew Stafford and Jacoby Brissett. And we'll see if the Chargers get Quentin Johnston (hamstring) back in Week 7, which would be an added boost for Herbert. I like him as a top-10 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Sterling effort in win

Herbert completed 29 of his 38 pass attempts for 264 yards and two touchdowns in the 29-27 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. Despite being under duress for most of the game, Herbert was excellent moving around the pocket and extending time to create enough room to hit Ladd McConkey (7-100-1) on a number of crossing routes, while Oronde Gadsden had his biggest game of his young career as an underneath safety net. The emergence of Kimani Vidal as a legitimate piece of the rushing attack, albeit against a porous run defense, could do wonders to help Herbert steady the ship with multiple offensive lineman banged up with varying injuries.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: QBs to Start

Herbert will likely have to carry the Chargers offense with Omarion Hampton (ankle) out, and this is the perfect matchup for him to thrive. The Dolphins are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and Bryce Young in Week 5 is the lone quarterback who failed to score at least 29 Fantasy points against Miami this year. Herbert has scored 16.6 Fantasy points or less in three games in a row, but I'm expecting him to get back on track in this matchup on the road, even with Quentin Johnston (hamstring) not expected to play. Herbert should be fine leaning on Keenan Allen and Ladd McConkey in this game.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Hot start fading quick

Herbert completed 22 of 29 pass attempts for 166 yards, one touchdown and one interception while taking four carries for 60 yards in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Commanders. Herbert did not look comfortable in the pocket without starting left tackle Joe Alt (ankle) on Sunday, finishing below 200 yards passing for the first time this season. The 27-year-old was sacked four times while throwing his fourth interception of the season, all of which have come during his current three-game skid. Things got so bad that head coach Jim Harbaugh turned to backup QB Trey Lance in garbage time of Sunday's loss. Herbert did salvage his fantasy day a bit by providing managers with a season high of 60 yards on the ground. The talented signal-caller will attempt to get his season back on track against the fledgling Dolphins next Sunday.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Picked off twice in loss

Herbert completed 23 of 41 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Giants. He added 24 rushing yards on his only carry and ran for a two-point conversion. The 27-year-old quarterback committed multiple turnovers for the first time in 2025 while throwing for a season low in passing yards as the Chargers took their first loss, but Herbert did salvage his day to some extent with a 36-yard TD to Quentin Johnston late in the second quarter. Herbert still has a respectable 7:3 TD:INT through four games heading into a Week 5 tilt against a Commanders defense that just gave up career-best numbers to the Falcons' Michael Penix.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: QBs to Start

Herbert just had his worst Fantasy game of the season in Week 3 against Denver with 16.6 points, but he threw for 300 yards for the second time this year. He only ran for 6 yards against the Broncos after averaging 31.5 yards in his first two games of the season, and he had his first interception. He should get back on track against the Giants, who have allowed two of three quarterbacks this season to score at least 22.1 Fantasy points. I like Herbert as a top-five Fantasy quarterback in this matchup.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: QBs to Start

Normally we would avoid the Broncos matchup, but Herbert is playing too well right now to sit. He's scored at least 22.8 Fantasy points in each of his first two games against the Chiefs and Raiders, and I love that he's averaging 31.5 rushing yards per game. He scored 26.2 Fantasy points against Denver at home in Week 16 last year, and the Broncos just allowed Daniel Jones to score 24.8 Fantasy points in Week 2.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: To play a series or two Saturday

Herbert will start Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports. With regard to to the Chargers' approach to the contest, coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed Thursday, "We're going to play starters on Saturday." As for Herbert, who is in line to make his first-ever preseason appearance, Harbaugh said that the QB is expected to play "a series, could be two," along with the team's other offensive starters. Beyond that, Harbaugh expects both Trey Lance (hand) and Taylor Heinicke to log snaps this weekend.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Won't play in Hall of Fame Game

Coach Jim Harbaugh said Tuesday that "traditional" starters, such as Herbert, won't suit up for Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Lions, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports. This comes as no surprise, as the Chargers will have three more opportunities for their top talent to get in some reps before Week 1. In Herbert's place, Trey Lance will get the nod under center over presumed No. 2 QB Taylor Heinicke. As for Herbert and the rest of the starters, their next chance for exhibition action will arrive Sunday, Aug. 10 versus the Saints.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Throws four picks in ugly loss

Herbert completed 14 of 32 pass attempts for 242 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions with no rushing stats in Saturday's wild-card round loss to the Texans. Herbert picked an inopportune time to have the worst passing game of his promising career, as Saturday's four-pick performance was the primary cause of the Chargers' season coming to an abrupt end. The 26-year-old is now 0-2 in two career playoff appearances, which comes on the heels of a solid regular season (3,870-23-3) in head coach Jim Harbaugh's first season with Los Angeles. Herbert and the Chargers' more-balanced offense will have to regroup for the 2025 campaign despite finishing the season well ahead of franchise expectations.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Piles up yardage against tough D

Herbert completed 23 of 31 passes for 284 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the Chargers' 34-27 win over the Broncos on Thursday night. He also rushed eight times for 28 yards and threw a two-point conversion pass. Herbert put together a mostly crisp performance that saw him generate his highest passing yardage total since Week 11. The 2020 first-round pick brought the Chargers back from an 11-point third-quarter deficit, connecting with Derius Davis (19 yards) and Hassan Haskins (34 yards) for his pair of touchdown tosses and hitting Joshua Palmer with a two-point conversion pass after the first score. Herbert's clutch second-half performance pushed the Chargers into a tie in the standings with the Broncos at 9-6, and the talented signal-caller will look to carry over the momentum into a Week 17 road battle versus the Patriots on Saturday, Dec. 28.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: QBs to Sit

Herbert heads into Thursday's game against Denver having scored 17.8 Fantasy points or less in four games in a row against Baltimore, Atlanta, Kansas City and Tampa Bay. He's been dealing with an ankle injury, which could explain why he's only rushed for 13 yards in his past three games. Herbert was held to 15.7 Fantasy points in Week 6 at Denver, and the Broncos have only allowed two quarterbacks all season to score at least 20 Fantasy points (Lamar Jackson in Week 9 and Jameis Winston in Week 13). I would only start Herbert in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 16.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: No injury designation

Herbert (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game against the Broncos. The Chargers held a walk-through practice Wednesday but estimated that Herbert would have been a full participant in a more strenuous session. He was listed with ankle and thigh injuries last week, before suiting up and completing 21 of 33 passes for 195 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in a 40-17 loss to Tampa Bay. Another loss Thursday night would make the Chargers highly unlikely to enter the AFC playoffs as anything better than the No. 7 seed, while a win would keep them in the running for the fifth or sixth seed.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Limited in practice Tuesday

Herbert (ankle) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice session. Herbert's limited participation Tuesday followed his designation as limited in Monday's walkthrough. The star quarterback is still dealing with an ankle injury he suffered in Week 14 against Kansas City, though the issue didn't prevent him from suiting up this past Sunday in a loss to Tampa Bay. Barring a setback, Herbert seems to be in line to play against Denver on Thursday Night Football this week.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Throws first pick since September

Herbert completed 21 of 33 pass attempts for 195 yards, two touchdowns and one interception without recording a rushing attempt in Sunday's 40-17 loss to Tampa Bay. Herbert was limited in practice by a pair of lower-body injuries, but he did not carry an injury designation into Sunday's blowout loss. The star quarterback threw his first interception in nearly three calendar months (Week 2 at Carolina) after the team adopted head coach Jim Harbaugh's mistake-free style of play. It was an overall odd game from Herbert, who also did not record an official rushing attempt for the first time this season. The Chargers will need to have a short memory following the ugly loss before hosting the 9-5 Broncos on Thursday Night Football in Week 16.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Returns to limited practice

Herbert (ankle/thigh) was limited at practice Thursday. After being deemed a non-participant Wednesday, the QB's return to a capped session one day later has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Friday's final injury report will reveal whether Herbert is given a Week 15 designation, but at this stage it would be surprising if he's not available this weekend.
