  • 49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Staying in San Francisco

Pineiro and the 49ers agreed to a four-year, $17 million contract Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Pineiro took over for beleaguered kicker Jake Moody in San Francisco in Week 2 of the 2025 campaign and ended up connecting on 28 of 29 field-goal attempts and 34 of 38 point-after tries in 14 regular-season games. Pineiro's mark of 8.4 points per contest ranked fifth among NFL placekickers with at least that many appearances, and the 30-year-old now is locked in as the 49ers' kicker through 2029.

  • 49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Provides only offense for SF

Pineiro converted his only field-goal attempt of 48 yards in Saturday's 13-3 loss to Seattle.

Pineiro was the only player for the 49ers to make an impact on the box score after scoring his team's only points in a forgettable offensive showing Saturday. The 29-year-old took over for released kicker Jake Moody in Week 2 of the regular season and never looked back, nailing all but one of his 29 FGA with the only miss coming from 50-plus yards out. Pineiro will become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming offseason, but it would be surprising if the 49ers didn't re-sign him after he saved the franchise's catastrophic kicking situation.

Pineiro didn't attempt a field goal in Sunday night's 42-38 win over the Bears but converted all six of his extra-point tries.

The Niners scored touchdowns on six of their 10 possessions against Chicago, and Pineiro has now kicked six PATs in back-to-back games after doing it last Monday night against the Colts. On the season, Pineiro is 27-for-28 on field goals and 34-for-38 on extra points.

  • 49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Makes eight kicks in MNF win

Pineiro converted two of three field-goal attempts and all six PATs in Monday night's 48-27 win over the Colts.

The Niners scored on seven of their first eight possessions versus Indianapolis, with the only unsuccessful drive being a missed 64-yard field goal from Pineiro as time expired before halftime. Pineiro's two makes were good from 25 and 38 yards. Through 12 games this season, Pineiro is 27-for-28 on field goals and 28-for-32 on extra points. His 96 percent success rate on field goals leads the league.

  • 49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Makes three field goals in win

Pineiro went 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts and made all four of his PATs in Sunday's 37-24 win over the Titans.

Pineiro made his return to action after missing two contests with a right hamstring injury, making a 33-yard field goal in the second quarter before adding makes from 37 and 40 yards in the fourth. The kicker has now gone a perfect 25-for-25 on field-goal tries, including 6-for-6 from 50-plus yards, over 11 games with the 49ers this season.

  • 49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Full practice Wednesday

Pineiro (right hamstring) practiced in full Wednesday.

Pineiro sat out the 49ers' last two games before a Week 14 bye due to a right hamstring injury, but when the team cut Matt Gay from its practice squad Tuesday, it signaled that the former was in line to return Week 15. With an uncapped practice under his belt, he'll resume placekicking duties Sunday against the Titans.
