Reid finished second on the team in tackles behind Demario Davis' 11 during the blowout loss. Reid has now racked up 34 tackles (22 solo), including 0.5 sacks, across his first eight outings. • Saints' Justin Reid: Practices in full Thursday

Reid (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. Reid was limited in Wednesday's practice due to a knee issue. The injury doesn't appear to be much of a concern after he was able to practice Thursday without restrictions, and he should cleared for Sunday's home tilt against the Giants, barring any setback. The 2018 third-rounder has 16 tackles (13 solo) and one pass defense through the first four games of the regular season.

  • Chiefs' Justin Reid: Totals 87 tackles in 2024

Reid finished the 2024 season with 87 tackles (61 solo) and nine pass breakups, including two interceptions, across 16 regular-season games. Reid didn't play in the Week 18 regular-season finale against the Broncos, as the Chiefs rested all of their key starters, so that was his only missed game of the year. Otherwise, Reid played 97 percent of the defensive snaps for Kansas City. He's yet to miss a game to injury during his three seasons with the team. Reid is wrapping up a three-year, $31.5 million contract with the Chiefs and is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent. He turns 28 years old in February.

  • Chiefs' Justin Reid: Likely out for Week 18

Reid (coach's decision) is listed as doubtful ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Broncos. The 27-year-old from Stanford is likely to rest with other Chiefs' starters in Sunday's divisional contest, as Kansas City has already locked up the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs. Reid was productive in 16 games this season, recording 87 total tackles and nine passes defended, including two interceptions. Jaden Hicks is expected to serve as the Chiefs' top strong safety if Reid doesn't suit up in Week 18.

Reid recorded five tackles (all solo) and intercepted a pass in Wednesday's 29-10 Week 17 victory against the Steelers. It was the second interception for the veteran safety this season and his first since Week 7 versus San Francisco. Reid also has notched 87 tackles on the campaign, eight shy of the career-high 95 he finished with in the regular season last year.

  • Chiefs' Justin Reid: Career-best stats in 2023

Reid racked up a career-best 95 tackles (74 solo), 3.0 sacks and one interception over 16 games during the 2023 regular season. Reid thrived in his second season on the back end of Kansas City's defense, posting career-best numbers for tackles and sacks despite sitting out the regular-season finale. That said, Reid graded out as the No. 122 safety on PFF. In particular, he struggled in coverage (No. 141 overall). Even so, Reid has a solid history at the safety spot and statistical numbers that likely support keeping him for the final year of his contract in 2024.
