  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Sit Tight Ends

The Patriots are actually No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, so this is a favorable matchup for Johnson. But his production has tailed off lately with 9.5 PPR points combined in his past two games against Buffalo and the Giants. With Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau back now for the Saints, it could make things harder for Johnson to produce at a high level. I would only start him in deeper leagues, and keep in mind that he has just one touchdown on the season so far.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Limited Wednesday

Johnson (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. Johnson also tended to an ankle injury last week, but he was able to suit up for this past Sunday's win against the Giants and logged a typical 85 percent snap share on his way to two catches (on four targets) for 17 yards. He'll have a pair of practices to get back to full this week or else risk entering the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game versus the Patriots.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Role shrinks in Week 5 win

Johnson caught two of four targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 26-14 win over the Giants. The tight end produced his worst numbers of 2025, and while the returns of Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau from knee injuries didn't cut into Johnson's workload at all -- he was on the field for 56 offensive snaps (85 percent) -- Spencer Rattler and the Saints' offense did make an effort to attack downfield more than they had in the first month of the year. That change may have had more to do with the quality of the Giants' secondary than it did any growth in Rattler's game, but the window for Johnson to be a reliable fantasy option may be closing rapidly. He'll try to bounce back in Week 6 against the Patriots.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Suiting up Sunday

Johnson (ankle) is listed as active Sunday against the Saints. Johnson was contained to a pair of limited practices during Week 5 prep due to an ankle injury, but he'll ditch his questionable designation and be available to New Orleans' offense Sunday. He's welcoming back fellow TEs Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) to the lineup for the first time this season, but Johnson still should remain the most consistent pass catcher among the trio for QB Spencer Rattler. Johnson has racked up a respectable 22-204-1 line on 32 targets in four games on the campaign.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Status in question for Sunday

Johnson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Giants, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Johnson followed up Wednesday's absence due to an ankle injury with a limited session Thursday. He wasn't able to progress enough to avoid a designation in advance of the weekend, but his status nonetheless will be confirmed about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Meanwhile, fellow TEs Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) also are listed as questionable, but the Saints will need to activate them from the reserve/PUP list by Saturday afternoon in order for them to have a chance to play Week 5.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Upgrades to limited Thursday

Johnson (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. After being held out of drills Wednesday due to an ankle injury, Johnson was back on the practice field one day later, joining fellow TEs Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) as limited participants. Both Hill and Moreau had their practice windows opened to return from the reserve/PUP list this week, but there's no guarantee either player will be cleared for Week 5 action. As the active roster currently stands, Johnson is the Saints' clear-cut top option at the position, and his status may receive clarity once the team posts its final practice report of the week Friday.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: DNP due to ankle issue

Johnson missed Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury This marks the first time this season that Johnson's practice reps have been impacted in any way, while fellow TEs Taysom Hill (knee, reserve/PUP list) and Foster Moreau (knee, reserve/PUP list), who had their practice windows opened this week, were both limited. It remains to be seen if Johnson's status is in peril for Sunday's game against the Giants, but he at least will have two more chances to mix into drills this week before the Saints potentially make a ruling on his availability for Week 5.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Limited production in Week 4 loss

Johnson gathered in all three of his targets for 28 yards during Sunday's 31-19 loss to Buffalo. Johnson logged fewer than eight targets for the first time this season, finishing fifth on the team in this category behind wideouts Chris Olave (six), Rashid Shaheed (five) and Brandin Cooks (four) as well as running back Alvin Kamara (five). The Saints also logged more rushing attempts (34) than passing attempts (28) for the first time in 2025, as for the first time this season the team didn't have to chase points while keeping the game within one score until midway through the fourth quarter. Johnson has been one of the top PPR tight ends this season, averaging 5.5 catches on 8.0 targets per game. He'll look to get back on track during a Week 5 matchup versus the Giants on Sunday, Oct. 5.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: TEs to Start

The Bills are No. 2 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends this season, but they've played the Jets and Dolphins in the past two games. Buffalo also held Mark Andrews to one catch for 5 yards in Week 1, but he only had one target. I'm sticking with Johnson as a No. 1 Fantasy tight end in all leagues, and he scored at least 11.1 PPR points in all three outings this season, with 28 total targets. He should continue to produce in Week 4 despite this tough matchup on paper.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Keeps producing as team loses

Johnson finished with six receptions on eight targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 44-13 loss to the Seahawks. Johnson continued his early-season surge with another strong PPR effort despite his team suffering yet another loss. The veteran tight end has been an early surprise in fantasy, racking up 19 receptions on 29 targets for 176 yards and a touchdown through three contests. Johnson has quickly become a must-start option at such a shallow fantasy position heading into next Sunday's road tilt against the Bills.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: TEs to Start

Johnson should be considered a No. 1 Fantasy tight end heading into Week 3 at Seattle. The Seahawks allowed two touchdowns to the 49ers tight ends in Week 1, and Johnson is one of the hottest players in the NFL. He comes into Week 3 with 13 catches for 125 yards and a touchdown on 20 targets in the first two games of the year, and he scored at least 15.6 PPR points in each outing. He's clearly a go-to target for Spencer Rattler, and Johnson is worth trusting in all formats.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Week 3 Waiver Priority List

Johnson has been one of the best surprises of any player at any position so far this season with 13 catches for 125 yards and a touchdown on 20 targets in the first two games of the year, and he scored at least 15.6 PPR points in each outing. He's clearly a go-to target for Spencer Rattler, and Johnson should be considered a No. 1 Fantasy tight end in all leagues heading into Week 3 at Seattle. Johnson should be added for at least 15-20 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: TEs to Start

Johnson got off to a hot start in Week 1 against Arizona with eight catches for 76 yards on 11 targets, and he should continue to be a go-to option for Spencer Rattler heading into Week 2 against the 49ers. This won't be an easy matchup, but Johnson has now scored at least 12 PPR points in five of his past eight games going back to last year. He should be considered a low-end starter in all leagues.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Week 2 Streamers (TE Preview)

I won't fault anyone for adding Johnson over Fannin. He was better in Week 1, and he doesn't have David Njoku on the team. But Johnson is also a 28-year-old who has never had more than 548 receiving yards in a season, so his Week 1 could be just as fluky. The more positive spin is that Johnson had 146 yards in his final games in 2024 and doesn't have to deal with either Taysom Hill or Foster Moreau for the time being.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Week 2 Waiver Priority List

Johnson was a go-to target for Spencer Rattler in Week 1 against Arizona, and we'll see if this continues moving forward. Johnson is worth adding in all leagues for at least 5 percent of your remaining FAB. He had eight catches for 76 yards on 11 targets against the Cardinals, and hopefully this is the start of a big season under new coach Kellen Moore. Going back to last year, Johnson has scored at least 12 PPR points in five of his past eight games, so Week 1 might not have been a fluke.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Suits up for preseason loss

Johnson (groin) played with the first-team offense during New Orleans' 27-13 preseason loss to the Chargers on Sunday. Johnson didn't tally a counting stat while suiting up for just nine offensive snaps Sunday, but his participation serves as confirmation that he's recovered from the groin injury that sidelined him for roughly one week of training camp. As things currently stand in the Saints' tight end corps, with both Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) still on the active/PUP list, Johnson is operating as the team's No. 1 option at the position without much competition for touches.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Another practice logged

Johnson (groin) took part in Thursday's practice, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. After being sidelined for about one week due to a minor groin injury, Johnson has been able to log some activity in back-to-back sessions, but it's unclear if he's back to 100 percent just yet. With fellow TEs Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) still on the active/PUP list, Johnson would be the Saints' top option at the position for Sunday's preseason contest against the Chargers, assuming he's cleared to suit up.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Gets in limited practice

Johnson (groin) is practicing in a limited fashion Tuesday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. Per Patrick McAvoy of SI.com, Johnson is working his way back from a minor groin injury sustained during practice last Wednesday. The tight end's status for the Saints' preseason opener against the Chargers on Sunday remains uncertain. With Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) both recovering from knee procedures and on the active/PUP list, Johnson has a clear path to establish himself as the No. 1 option at tight end for New Orleans once he's past his own health issue.
... See More ... See Less
  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Injury likely isn't serious

Johnson is expected to miss only a few days after suffering an undisclosed injury during Saints training camp, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Coach Kellen Moore wouldn't clarify whether Johnson's health concern occurred Tuesday or Wednesday, but the Saints should have some clarity Thursday once testing has been undertaken, per John Sigler of USA Today. Underhill's report indicates Johnson avoided anything significant, but with fellow TEs Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) on the active/PUP list, holding Johnson out of drills until he's healthy likely is a prudent approach.

  • Saints' Juwan Johnson: Picks up undisclosed injury

Johnson (undisclosed) sustained an injury during training camp practices this week, John Sigler of USA Today reports. Saints head coach Kellen Moore declined to confirm whether Johnson's undisclosed injury occurred Wednesday or Tuesday, when New Orleans held a walkthrough before a team outing, but he said an update on the veteran tight end's health will arrive Thursday after testing is complete. Johnson, who re-signed on a three-year, $30.75 million deal this offseason, has operated as the Saints' top tight end through the early portion of training camp, with Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) both on the PUP list.
