  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Believes he'll be available after bye

Barkley (groin) was confident following Sunday's 38-20 win against the Giants that he'll be available for the Eagles' next game Monday, Nov. 10 at Green Bay, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports. When Barkley exited late in the third quarter after a 28-yard run with what eventually was termed a groin injury, the Eagles were up 24-13 on the Giants and proceeded to extend the lead to 18 points by the end of that drive. He added afterward that he likely could have remained in the contest if the score was ever in doubt down the stretch, per Tim McManus of ESPN.com. The Eagles have a Week 9 bye on tap, so he'll have time to recuperate before the Week 10 showdown against the Packers after finishing Week 8 with 18 touches for 174 yards from scrimmage and two total TDs. It should be noted that reserve RB Tank Bigsby reeled off 104 yards on nine rushes by game's end, indicating he's currently the next player up if Barkley needs to miss any time.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Dealing with groin injury

Barkley suffered a groin injury during Sunday's game against the Giants. Barkley pulled up at the end of a 28-yard run near the end of the third quarter, after which he visited the sideline tent before the Eagles disclosed the nature of his injury. If he's unable to return, he'll finish Week 8 with 14 carries for 150 yards and one touchdown and four catches (on five targets) for 24 yards and another TD. Tank Bigsby took over most of the RB duties following Barkley's departure.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Another frustrating day Sunday

Barkley rushed 18 times for 44 yards and brought in his only target for minus-2 yards in the Eagles' 28-22 win over the Vikings on Sunday. In addition to being stymied on the ground yet again, Barkley also suffered an injury scare when he exited the game briefly in the second half to be evaluated for a concussion. Barkley eventually returned to the contest, but he finished with under 60 rushing yards for the fifth straight game. Barkley had a long run of just nine yards as well, and the inefficient afternoon was especially disappointing considering he quickly netted 16 yards on his first three carries during the Eagles' opening drive. The 2018 first-round pick will look for a resurgent outing at the expense of his former Giants squad in a Week 8 divisional clash next Sunday afternoon.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Gets in limited practice Tuesday

Barkley (knee) was listed as a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice. Though the Eagles didn't hold a traditional practice session, Barkley was upgraded in terms of activity after he was estimated as a non-participant on Monday's report. According to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Barkley reiterated Tuesday that he intends to play Thursday against the Giants, despite dealing with general soreness in his knee. However, given the quick turnaround for the Week 6 contest following Sunday's loss to the Broncos, Barkley could have his workload managed a little more than he normally might.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Unusually low volume in loss

Barkley rushed six times for 30 yards and brought in all three targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' 21-17 loss to the Broncos on Sunday. Barkley's extremely sparse rushing volume was especially alarming considering game script never dictated that the Eagles turn away from the run. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year only salvaged his fantasy day with an impressive 47-yard touchdown grab to cap off the opening possession of the second half, and his carry total was his first in single digits in a non-injury-shortened game since Week 15 of the 2023 season while he was still with the Giants. Barkley's receiving score was his first trip to the end zone in a pass-catching capacity this season, and an atypically rested Barkley should be set for much more work in a Week 6 road matchup against his old New York teammates on Thursday night.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Grinds it out vs. Bucs

Barkley rushed 19 times for 43 yards and a touchdown and brought in all four targets for 31 yards in the Eagles' 31-25 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. Barkley continued to find tough sledding on the ground against a stout Buccaneers run defense, but he managed to salvage his fantasy day with a six-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter, his third visit to the end zone this season. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year also recorded four catches for the third time in the first four contests, finishing with one of his typically robust workloads. Barkley figures to have to continue grinding for every yard on the ground Week 5, as the Broncos will pay a visit to Philadelphia next Sunday afternoon.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Efficient RB1 performance Sunday

Barkley ran the ball 22 times for 88 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for six yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Chiefs. Barkley set the tone on offense for Philadelphia by scoring the game's first touchdown in a rematch of Super Bowl LIX. The 28-year-old superstar went on to average 4.0 yards per tote while leading his club in yards from scrimmage (94). The recent trade for RB Tank Bigsby didn't affect Barkley's workload, as the only other rusher to record any carries was veteran backup AJ Dillon (3-19-0). Barkley will look to extend a modest two-game scoring streak to open the season when the Eagles host the Rams next Sunday.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Tallies 84 total yards in win

Barkley rushed 18 times for 60 yards and a touchdown and brought in four of five targets for 24 yards in the Eagles' 24-20 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night. In what was his first taste of game action since the Super Bowl victory over the Chiefs in February, Barkley often found running room hard to come by against a game Cowboys front seven. While the defending rushing champion's longest run of the night was only 16 yards, Barkley still made an impact via a 10-yard rushing touchdown shortly before halftime, as well as some productive work as an outlet receiver. Barkley was outgained in rushing yards by Jalen Hurts (62 yards), but that should be a rare occurrence moving forward. Another marquee matchup awaits Week 2, as the Eagles visit the Chiefs for a Super Bowl rematch on Sunday, Sept. 14.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: No preseason playing time

Barkley didn't play in Friday's 19-17 preseason win over the Jets. Barkley didn't see the field in any of Philadelphia's three preseason games, as the Eagles understandably don't want to add any tread to the star running back's tires after he handled a league-high 345 regular-season carries in 2024, plus another 91 in the playoffs. History hasn't been kind to running backs in the season following such a heavy workload, but Barkley's a unique talent at the position. He'll be locked into an every-down role starting with Philadelphia's season opener against the Cowboys on Thursday, Sept. 4, with Will Shipley and AJ Dillon contending for backup duties.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Three rushing TDs in NFCCG win

Barkley rushed 15 times for 118 yards and three touchdowns while catching one of two targets for four yards in Sunday's 55-23 win over the Commanders in the NFC Championship Game. Barkley broke free for a 60-yard touchdown run on Philadelphia's first offensive play, providing an emphatic counter to Washington's 18-play opening drive, which resulted in a field goal. His next carry also went for a touchdown, as Barkley capped the second Eagles drive with a four-yard score after the passing game got them close. He was tripped up at the 1-yard line after a 22-yard run in the third quarter on a drive that was capped by Jalen Hurts' third rushing touchdown of the game, but Barkley got a third rushing score of his own on a four-yard run in the fourth quarter. Philadelphia tacked on a seventh rushing touchdown from rookie Will Shipley down the stretch after the game was well in hand. Barkley's dream first season in Philadelphia -- both in terms of personal and team accomplishments -- will culminate in a trip to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Feb. 9.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Massive output in Sunday's win

Barkley carried the ball 26 times for 205 yards and two touchdowns while catching all four of his targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 28-22 divisional-round win over the Rams. Most of his yardage came on two long touchdowns, a 62-yard dash late in the first quarter and a 78-yard score that put the game away in the fourth. Between the regular season and the playoffs, Barkley has 2,329 rushing yards through 18 appearances, leaving him 147 short of Terrell Davis' all-time NFL record. As the focal point of the Philly offense, Barkley will take aim at that mark while trying to help his team reach the Super Bowl next Sunday against the Commanders in the NFC Championship Game.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: In line to sit out Week 18

Head coach Nick Sirianni said Wednesday that the Eagles plan to rest Barkley and other starters Sunday against the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Barkley needs just 101 rushing yards to break Eric Dickerson's NFL single-season record of 2,105 yards, but with the 13-3 Eagles locked in as the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs, he'll prioritize his health for the postseason above chasing down the record. Kenneth Gainwell and Will Shipley (concussion) -- if available -- are next in line for work out of Philadelphia's backfield, with Tyrion Davis-Price representing a candidate to be elevated from the practice squad.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Clears 2,000-yard mark for season

Barkley rushed 31 times for 167 yards and brought in both targets for two yards in the Eagles' 41-7 win over the Cowboys on Sunday. The Eagles are clearly intent on getting Barkley to the all-time single-season rushing yardage record if Sunday's workload is any indication, as the seven-year pro logged his highest carry total since Week 8 of last season. Barkley generated his second-highest yardage tally of the campaign with the elevated volume, logging his sixth 100-yard effort in the last seven contests. The 2018 first-round pick eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark on the season with Sunday's gargantuan production, leaving him exactly 100 yards away from Eric Dickerson's 2,105-yard single-season record that has stood for the last 40 years. Barkley will have a premium Week 18 matchup with which to try and make history, as the Eagles host the Giants to close out the regular season.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Massive day not enough Sunday

Barkley carried the ball 29 times for 150 yards and two touchdowns and failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 36-33 loss to the Commanders. The MVP candidate opened the scoring with a two-yard score on the Eagles' first possession and followed it up with a 68-yard TD dash late in the first quarter, giving Barkley his sixth multi-touchdown game of the season. He's up to a career-high 13 rushing TDs, and with two games left on the schedule, he needs 162 more rushing yards to reach 2,000 for the first time. The Eagles' offense could look very different in Week 17 against the Cowboys, however, as Jalen Hurts (concussion) and Kenny Pickett (ribs) both got hurt in Sunday's loss. If Philly is forced to turn to Tanner McKee, a 2023 sixth-round pick who has yet to attempt a pass in the NFL, under center against Dallas, Barkley may not find his usual room to run.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Rumbles for 107 yards, TD in win

Barkley rushed 23 times for 107 yards and a touchdown while catching two of four targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 24-19 win over the Ravens. Barkley was in the midst of a mediocre performance by his lofty standards with just 65 rushing yards until he broke free for a 25-yard rushing touchdown with 7:56 remaining. That was his fifth rushing touchdown in the past three games and 11th of the season. Barkley also reached 100 rushing yards for the eighth time in 12 games for Philadelphia. The red-hot running back is showing no signs of slowing down ahead of a juicy Week 14 matchup against the leaky Panthers run defense.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Monstrous stat line on SNF

Barkley turned 26 carries into 255 yards and two touchdowns while adding four receptions on as many targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 37-20 win over the Rams. Barkley ran wild on Los Angeles' entire defense from start to finish, setting both a personal and franchise record for most rushing yards in a single game. It was also the first time a running back has scored two 70-plus yard touchdowns in the same game since Jaguars legend Maurice Jones-Drew accomplished the feat against the Titans in 2009, as reported by ESPN.com's Lindsey Thiry. It was also Barkley's fifth game since joining the Eagles in which he's scored two or more touchdowns. Sunday's monster line also set a new high-water mark in rushing yards (1,392) for the seven-year pro with six games left on the schedule. Barkley is looking like the fantasy MVP heading into next Sunday's tilt at Baltimore.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Top DFS Play

I have Barkley projected for two more points in half PPR than any other back. He's gone over 25 Fantasy points in three of his last six games and is averaging a league-high 22 touches per game. In cash games he should be the chalk at running back and he's worth it.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Had forearm examined briefly

Barkley rushed 14 times for 66 yards and caught his only target for 12 yards in Sunday's 34-6 win over the Cowboys. Barkley suffered an early injury to his left forearm, but he didn't miss much time and returned to start the second half Sunday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports. The star tailback didn't appear limited by the injury, outside of sporting a bandage on the affected area, and the blowout nature of the Eagles' win may have limited his playing time as well. Barkley has been one of the top performing players in fantasy this season, so managers should feel confident starting him against the Commanders on Thursday Night Football in Week 11.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Puts up 199 yards plus two TDs

Barkley rushed 27 times for 159 yards and a touchdown while corralling three of four targets for 40 yards and a second score in Sunday's 28-23 win over Jacksonville. Barkley continued to carry fantasy squads with another gaudy stat line for the 6-2 Eagles. The 27-year-old has flourished since joining Philadelphia this past offseason, averaging 5.9 yards per carry as a rusher with eight combined touchdowns through eight starts. Barkley has always been a household name in fantasy circles, and he is putting together an MVP-type season heading into a Week 10 matchup against Dallas next Sunday.

  • Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Eclipses century mark in win

Barkley rushed 22 times for 108 yards and brought in his only target for three yards in the Eagles' 37-17 win over the Bengals on Sunday. Jalen Hurts vultured a pair of one-yard rushing touchdown opportunities and also scored on the ground from seven yards out, leaving Barkley out in the cold as far as the end zone was concerned. However, the star running back still managed his second straight 100-yard effort and fourth overall of the season while equaling his second-highest carry total of the campaign. Barkley continues to look like a seamless fit in the Eagles' offensive attack heading into a Week 9 home matchup against the Jaguars.
