  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Redeems himself late in OT win

Darnold completed 22 of 34 passes for 270 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions while adding three rushes for seven yards in the Seahawks' 38-37 overtime win over the Rams on Thursday night. He also threw a pair of two-point conversion passes. Darnold threw his fifth and sixth interceptions against the Rams this season in the second half, with the first pick leading to a Blake Corum one-yard touchdown one play later. However, the veteran signal-caller bounced back with a 26-yard touchdown strike to AJ Barner with just over six minutes remaining in regulation, and he then led a nine-play, 65-yard march in overtime that he capped off with a four-yard touchdown toss to Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Head coach Mike Macdonald then opted to go for the game-winning two-point conversion, and Darnold delivered once again by finding Eric Saubert to seal the comeback victory. Darnold's multi-touchdown tally was his third in the last five games, and he'll look to carry over the late-game momentum into a Week 17 road matchup against the Panthers on Sunday, Dec. 28.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: QBs to Sit

Darnold faced the Rams in Week 11 in Los Angeles and had a disastrous game with four interceptions, and he scored just 4.3 Fantasy points. He also faced the Rams in the playoffs in 2024 with the Vikings and scored just 13.7 Fantasy points, so this is a bad matchup for him. Darnold has scored more than 11.3 Fantasy points just twice in his past six outings, and it's tough to trust him at this point in the season. He's barely worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Struggles in red zone Sunday

Darnold completed 22 of 36 pass attempts for 271 yards while gaining five yards on four carries in Sunday's 18-16 win over Indianapolis. Darnold struggled to get Seattle's offense over the hump in the opponent's red zone, resulting in a franchise-record six field goals being made in Sunday's narrow victory. The 28-year-old didn't leave fantasy managers empty-handed after accruing his highest passing total since Week 11 against the Rams. Darnold will actually face the Rams again in Week 16 on Thursday Night Football. The Seahawks are hoping that their quarterback won't see any ghosts this time around after throwing four interceptions in a losing effort when the NFC West rivals met earlier this season.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Sleeper QBs

Darnold had a standout performance in Week 14 at Atlanta with 28.3 Fantasy points, and he should have the chance for a solid encore against the Colts in Week 15. Trevor Lawrence just scored 28.4 Fantasy points against Indianapolis in Week 14, and the Colts are down cornerbacks Sauce Gardner (calf) and Charvarius Ward (concussion). There's always the risk of a lack of pass attempts for Darnold, but the matchup at home is worth trusting him as a low-end starter in all leagues.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Three TDs in Sunday's rout

Darnold completed 20 of 30 passes for 249 yards and three touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 37-9 win over the Falcons. He added 23 rushing yards on three carries. The two teams traded field goals in the first half before Darnold got going after halftime, as he tossed a 28-yard TD to Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the third quarter before connecting with Cooper Kupp and JSN on red-zone scores in the fourth. Darnold now has a 22:11 TD:INT through 13 games this season, including three games with three-plus touchdowns, and he'll look to keep the Seahawks on track for the playoffs in a Week 15 home clash against the Colts.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: QBs to Sit

Darnold hasn't gone rotten yet in reality, but he's struggling as a Fantasy quarterback heading into Week 14 at Atlanta. He's scored 6.9 Fantasy points or less in three of his past four games, and he has three touchdowns and eight turnovers (five interceptions) over that span. I'm not overly concerned about the matchup for Darnold, but it's more about his mistakes and potential lack of attempts. He's had more than 26 pass attempts just once since Week 7, and Seattle might not have to throw the ball much in this game to win. I would only start Darnold in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 14.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Not listed on practice report

Darnold (ankle) isn't listed on the Seahawks' first Week 14 injury report Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Darnold paid multiple visits to the sideline tent during this past Sunday's win against the Vikings, but he didn't miss any snaps until garbage time of the blowout win. On Monday, coach Mike Macdonald told Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune that Darnold was dealing with an ankle issue but should be "good to go" Week 14 in Atlanta. With no designation to speak of on the team's first practice report of the week, Darnold will be under center for Seattle this Sunday.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Pedestrian numbers in easy win

Darnold completed 14 of 26 pass attempts for 128 yards with no touchdowns and one fumble lost in Sunday's 26-0 rout of the Vikings. Darnold struggled against the strength of Minnesota's defense as Seattle leaned on its ground game and dominant defense to secure victory in Week 13. It was the 28-year-old's lowest passing total through 12 starts with Seattle and -- depending on how leagues penalize interceptions -- his worst fantasy score to date this season. Darnold has been a bit of a boom-or-bust asset in fantasy by providing managers with six multi-score games and three with zero touchdowns. Look for the signal-caller to get back on track next Sunday against an Atlanta squad heading in the wrong direction.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Sleeper QBs

Darnold scored 21.7 Fantasy points in Week 12 at Tennessee, which ended his two-game slide of scoring 6.9 Fantasy points or less. He should continue to play well at home against the Vikings, which is a revenge game. Minnesota isn't an easy opponent, but the Vikings have allowed three of the past four quarterbacks on the road to score at least 20.1 Fantasy points. Darnold is worth using as a low-end starter in deeper leagues in Week 13.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Bounces back in Week 12 win

Darnold completed 16 of 26 passes for 244 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 30-24 win over the Titans. Darnold bounced back from a terrible performance against the Rams and delivered an efficient stat line in a favorable matchup. He unsurprisingly found most of his success when targeting Jaxon Smith-Njigba, connecting with his star receiver for long gains of 63 and 56 yards -- the former of which went for a touchdown -- in addition to a 13-yard score. While Darnold has performed well for the majority of the season, the Seahawks still prefer to rely on their running game and defense to win games, limiting Darnold's pass attempts. He's now failed to reach 30 pass attempts in three of his last four games, making him very reliant upon big plays and touchdowns to deliver good fantasy lines.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: QBs to Sit

Darnold has been exceptional this season in reality, but we've seen him have some down Fantasy games, including scoring 10.6 points or less in two of his past three outings, with six turnovers over that span. He also has scored fewer than 20 Fantasy points in five of nine games this season. The Rams have only allowed three games this season where a quarterback has scored more than 20 Fantasy points, which were Jalen Hurts and Mac Jones twice. Granted, they haven't faced a gauntlet of quarterbacks since their other opponents were C.J. Stroud, Cam Ward, Daniel Jones, Cooper Rush and Tyler Shough. But I can see Darnold once again being under 20 Fantasy points in Week 11, and I would only start him in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Commits three turnovers Sunday

Darnold completed 10 of 12 pass attempts for 178 yards, one touchdown and one interception while losing two fumbles in Sunday's 44-22 win over Arizona. It was a peculiar stat line from Darnold after he completed 83 percent of his attempts while committing three turnovers in a massive victory. Seattle's rushing attack (two touchdowns) and defense (two touchdowns) did all the heavy lifting on offense outside of an impressive touchdown pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba on the game's opening drive. Darnold has sprinkled in a couple of these duds amongst mostly standout performances through nine starts. Fantasy managers should feel confident about a bounce-back game from Darnold in Week 11 when the Seahawks match high-octane offenses with the Rams next Sunday.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Sleeper QBs

Darnold has thrived in plus matchups so far this season, and this should be considered one of those games in Week 9. The Commanders are No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and only two quarterbacks this season have failed to score at least 21.9 points, which were Russell Wilson in Week 1 and Justin Herbert in Week 5 (he had 19.5 points). Dak Prescott and Patrick Mahomes each scored at least 28.9 Fantasy points in the past two games against Washington, and Darnold has scored at least 24 Fantasy points in two of his past three games.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: QBs to Start

Darnold only attempted 24 passes in Week 9 at Washington, but he completed 21 of them for 330 yards, four touchdowns and one interception and scored 35.2 Fantasy points. He's now scored at least 24 Fantasy points in three of his past four games, and Seattle just gave him another weapon in Rashid Shaheed via trade from New Orleans. Darnold only scored 18.1 Fantasy points at Arizona in Week 4, but I'm sticking with Darnold as a low-end No. 1 quarterback in all leagues in Week 10 at home.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Resumes gunslinging ways Sunday

Darnold completed 21 of 24 pass attempts for 330 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 38-14 rout of the Commanders. Darnold used Seattle's bye week to regroup following a rough outing against Houston in Week 8, responding with a dominant four-score performance against Washington. It was the second time this season that the veteran starter registered a quartet of touchdown passes, also accomplishing the feat in a shootout against Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers in Week 5. Outside of an occasional hiccup, Darnold has been posting elite numbers for fantasy managers in 2025, producing over 2,000 passing yards and 16 touchdowns across eight starts with his new club. Darnold should easily check in as a top-10 QB in fantasy for a soft matchup against Arizona next Sunday.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Adds/Streamers (QB Preview)

Darnold is playing some of the best football of his career. The only question each week is whether he will throw enough to perform well in Fantasy. The Commanders have given up at least 19 Fantasy points to seven straight Qbs but six of those Qbs threw at least 29 passes. Darnold has hit that mark three times in seven starts.
... See More ... See Less
  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Struggles in tough matchup

Darnold completed 17 of 31 pass attempts for 213 yards, one touchdown and one interception while losing a fumble and gaining one yard on three carries in Monday's 27-19 win over the Texans. Darnold escaped Monday's primetime tilt with a win, but he couldn't escape the teeth of Houston's elite defense. In addition to his fourth interception of the season, the veteran signal-caller was strip sacked in his own end zone after making an ill-advised decision to roll out to DE Will Anderson's side. Darnold's 54.8 completion percentage also checks in as his lowest mark through seven starts with Seattle. The overall results have been positive from the 28-year-old this year, so fantasy managers can chalk this one up to a tough matchup. They will, however, need to find a replacement for Darnold in Week 8 until the Seahawks return from the upcoming bye week on Sunday, Nov. 2.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)

Darnold is on fire coming into Week 7 with at least 24 Fantasy points in each of his past two starts against Tampa Bay and Jacksonville. Prior to that, he had scored at least 18.1 Fantasy points in three games in a row, so he's done a nice job in his first year with Seattle. But this could be a tough week for Darnold, given the matchup with the Texans, who are coming off a bye in Week 6. Houston is No. 1 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and only Baker Mayfield in Week 2 scored more than 15.6 points against the Texans, including matchups with Matthew Stafford and Trevor Lawrence. The Texans haven't actually faced the toughest competition, and Darnold did have a big game against Houston in 2024 when he was with the Vikings, with 181 passing yards and four touchdowns in Week 3. But I'm expecting Darnold to regress in Week 7, and I would prefer to start him in only Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Remains productive in Week 6 win

Darnold completed 16 of 27 passes for 295 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while adding four carries for two yards in the Seahawks' 20-12 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. Darnold looked as impressive as usual outside the friendly confines of Lumen Field, averaging 10.9 yards per attempt as he remained aggressive downfield. The veteran signal-caller once again focused the majority of his attention on Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who ended up on the receiving end of half of Darnold's completions and 162 of his yards, not to mention one of his two touchdowns, a perfectly thrown 61-yard strike in the second quarter. Darnold added a nifty 11-yard scoring toss to Cooper Kupp in the fourth quarter, and he'll head into a Week 7 home clash with the Texans on Monday night, Oct. 20 having thrown for multiple touchdowns in four of the last five games.

  • Seahawks' Sam Darnold: Sleeper QBs

Darnold finally had the breakout game we were waiting for with 35.6 Fantasy points against Tampa Bay in Week 5, and he had a season-high 34 pass attempts. I hope he continues to throw more because that will help his production, and he has scored at least 18.1 Fantasy points in four games in a row. The Jaguars allow an average of 39.4 pass attempts per game this year, which bodes well for Darnold, and three of the past four opposing quarterbacks against Jacksonville have scored at least 21.7 Fantasy points, including two in a row with Brock Purdy and Patrick Mahomes. I like Darnold as a low-end No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues this week.
