Gary Jennings: Back on Chargers' PS
The Chargers signed Jennings to the practice squad Thursday.
Jennings was recently cut by the Chargers but will now find his way back, albeit as a member of the practice squad. It's unknown if the 29-year-old will see some regular-season snaps for Los Angeles moving forward, though it may take an injury or two for that to happen. Even then, Jennings isn't expected to have much of a role on offense. In a corresponding move, the Bolts released long snapper Spencer Triplett from the practice squad.

The last time he was on an NFL roster was in 2023 with the Panthers in training camp, and he's been brought in by the Chargers to provide wide receiver depth due to injuries to Quentin Johnston (lower body), Tre' Harris (undisclosed) and Brenen Thompson (undisclosed). The Panthers signed Jennings on Tuesday, Jeff Hawkins of The Charlotte Post reports.
A fourth-round pick by the Seahawks back in 2019, Jennings has appeared in one career NFL game with the Dolphins. He spent this spring with the XFL's St. Louis BattleHawks, where he caught 11 passes for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Jennings will compete for one of Carolina's final roster spots.
