Jones completed 22 of 30 passes for 212 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while adding five carries for 20 yards and another score in the Colts' 31-27 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.
Jones put together another efficient performance that's become par for the course for him in the Colts' scheme. Jones eclipsed the 70.0 percent completion threshold for the fourth time overall in the first six games, and the veteran signal-caller also tossed a pair of touchdown for the second consecutive contest by connecting with Tyler Warren and Josh Downs from eight and five yards out, respectively. Jones added a three-yard scoring rush just before the halfway point of the second quarter, his fourth touchdown on the ground already. Jones will remain a highly coveted option in all formats for a Week 7 road showdown against the Chargers that could develop into a high-scoring affair.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Sleeper QBs
Rotowire
Jones had another solid outing in Week 5 against the Raiders with 212 passing yards and two touchdowns, and he scored 20.7 Fantasy points. He's now scored at least 20 Fantasy points in all three home games this season and is averaging 25.7 points in Indianapolis this year. The Cardinals have only allowed one quarterback to score more than 18.1 Fantasy points this season, but they've had the easiest schedule this season of opposing passers with Spencer Rattler, Bryce Young, Mac Jones, Sam Darnold and Cam Ward. I like Jones as a low-end No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues at home this week.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Another efficient effort in win
Rotowire
Jones completed 20 of 29 passes for 212 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and added one rush for two yards in the Colts' 40-6 win over the Raiders on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by Indianapolis.
Jones' solid, efficient stat line was a fitting microcosm of what's come to define his body of work early in his Colts tenure, as the veteran signal-caller once again turned in a mistake-free effort that complemented the exploits of Jonathan Taylor and the defense perfectly. Jones worked with a tight circle of five targets overall, tossing his pair of touchdowns to Tyler Warren (11 yards) and Michael Pittman (four yards). Jones has completed a sharp 71.3 percent of his passes and posted a 6:2 TD:INT through his first five games at the helm of Indianapolis' offense, and he's added another three scores on the ground. Jones next takes aim at the Cardinals' defense in a Week 6 home clash.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Mixed performance in loss
Rotowire
Jones completed 24 of 33 passes for 262 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Rams.
Jones continued to operate the Colts' offense efficiently, averaging 7.9 yards per attempt with three completions of more than 20 yards. He also appeared to have found Adonai Mitchell for a second touchdown on a 76-yard connection, but the wideout fumbled the ball through the end zone for a touchback. Jones made some mistakes of his own, throwing two interceptions on underthrown deep passes -- the latter of which came late as the Colts were trying to tie the game. Jones has passed for at least 250 yards in three of four games this season, though he has only one score in consecutive contests.

Colts' Daniel Jones: QBs to Sit
Rotowire
Jones has been awesome so far this season, and he's averaging 24.7 Fantasy points per game, along with no turnovers in three outings. He only scored 17.8 Fantasy points in Week 3 at Tennessee, which was his first road game this year, and I expect him to be under 20 Fantasy points at the Rams as well. While Jalen Hurts abused the Rams in Week 3 for 35 Fantasy points, Los Angeles held C.J. Stroud and Cam Ward to a combined 20.5 Fantasy points in the first two games of the season. I don't think Jones will fall apart this week, but I would only start him in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

Colts' Daniel Jones: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Is it time to buy into Jones as a starting Fantasy quarterback? He's been awesome through two home games with at least 24.8 Fantasy points in matchups against Miami and Denver, but now he has to perform on the road at Tennessee. The Titans were great against Bo Nix in Week 1 (8.8 Fantasy points), but Matthew Stafford scored 21.3 Fantasy points in Week 2. I expect Jones to be in that range this week, which makes him a low-end No. 1 quarterback. Hopefully, he'll continue to find the end zone with his legs since he has three rushing touchdowns in two games.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Adds/Streamers (QB Preview)
Rotowire
Jones doesn't actually rank very well in my early projections. But he was my top QB stash last week and he just delivered against the Broncos. It is getting harder to keep doubting him. If he does it outdoors against the Titans in Week 3, many people are going to view him as a top-12 QB rest of season. Jones already has three rushing touchdowns and his four rush attempts inside the five yard line rank second in the NFL behind only Josh Allen.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Week 3 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
In two starts for the Colts, he has scored at least 24 Fantasy points in each outing, and he looks good so far. Hopefully, this isn't a fluke, and he was impressive against Denver in Week 2 with 23-of-34 passing for 316 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions, and he also added a rushing touchdown. Jones should be considered a low-end starting option in one-quarterback leagues heading into Week 3 at Tennessee, and he's worth adding for 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Strong showing against Denver
Rotowire
Jones completed 23 of 34 passes for 316 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 29-28 win over the Broncos. He added six rush attempts for two yards and a touchdown.
Jones proved his Week 1 performance against Miami was no fluke, as he completed three passes of more than 40 yards while averaging 9.4 yards per attempt. He effectively targeted all of his pass catchers, though Tyler Warren looks to be his favorite of the group. Jones also picked up his third rushing touchdown of the season after falling into the end zone on the second of two consecutive quarterback sneaks at the goal line. Jones has had a strong start to his time with the Colts, as he now has five total touchdowns with no turnovers while averaging 9.3 yards per attempt across two games.

Colts' Daniel Jones: QBs to Sit
Rotowire
The Colts appeared to make the right decision to start Jones and not Anthony Richardson, and Jones rewarded them with a big game in Week 1 against Miami with 31.5 Fantasy points. He was 22-of-29 passing for 272 yards and one touchdown and ran seven times for 26 yards and two touchdowns. He took advantage of a bad Dolphins defense, but this should be a tougher test in Week 2 against Denver. The Broncos should be able to limit Jones and the entire Indianapolis offense, and he's a risky starter even in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in this matchup.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Week 2 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Jones was arguably the best story in Week 1 when he completed 22-of-29 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown and rushed seven times for 26 yards and two touchdowns for 31.5 Fantasy points against Miami. The Colts, for at least one week, were clearly justified to start Jones ahead of Anthony Richardson, and this could be the start of a great comeback story for Jones, similar to Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold. My only concern was Jones did this against the Dolphins, who could have one of the worst defenses in the NFL. And he faces the Broncos in Week 2, which could be a reality check. But it's not bad to add Jones in deeper leagues for 1 percent of your remaining FAB if you're looking for a No. 2 quarterback with upside. Maybe, just maybe, Jones could become a Fantasy starter in the majority of leagues.

Colts' Daniel Jones: One To Stash (QB Preview)
Rotowire
I think Daniel Jones' Week 1 performance had more to do with the Dolphins defense than it had to do with him. But with his rushing ability, the league-average accuracy we saw from him in Week 1 could translate to borderline top 12 production in Fantasy. The reason he is in the stash section and not the streamer section is because of a Week 2 matchup with the Broncos. I'll sit most QBs against the Broncos, particularly a Week 1 surprise like Jones.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Excels in team debut
Rotowire
Jones completed 22 of 29 passes for 272 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions and added seven rushes for 26 yards and two more scores in the Colts' 33-8 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
Jones opened the game hot and never looked back, leading the Colts to a field goal on his first regular-season possession as the team's quarterback while recording four completions on that drive. Jones was near perfect the rest of the way as well, and he connected with Michael Pittman for a 27-yard strike on his one scoring toss while also displaying plenty of chemistry with rookie first-round pick Tyler Warren (seven receptions). Jones also added his trademark rushing contributions with a pair of one-yard scoring runs, but he and the rest of the team's air attack get a big step up in competition when the Broncos come to town for a Week 2 matchup next Sunday.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Sharp in preseason start
Rotowire
Jones completed seven of 11 passes for 101 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and netted no gain on one carry in the Colts' 23-19 preseason loss to the Packers on Saturday afternoon. He also fumbled once but recovered.
Per Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan, Jones' afternoon didn't exactly get off to an encouraging start considering he missed an open Tyler Warren on a third-down pass that was overthrown. However, the veteran was much sharper on his second possession, helming an 11-play, 77-yard march on which he had a big 23-yard completion wiped out by an offensive holding penalty against Adonai Mitchell. Jones completed passes to four different targets, with the highlights being 22- and 25-yard connections to Michael Pittman and Warren, respectively. Anthony Richardson also put some good play on film following Jones' time in the contest, so it remains to be seen if next Saturday's preseason finale at Cincinnati will serve as the final proving ground for both players in their battle for the No. 1 quarterback job.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Will play in preseason opener
Rotowire
Colts coach Shane Steichen said Sunday that both Jones and Anthony Richardson will "play a good amount" in the preseason opener Thursday at Baltimore, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.
Steichen didn't name a starter, but he did say that whichever quarterback gets less playing time in this game will then get more snaps in the second week of the preseason. Reports out of Colts training camp put Jones and Richardson neck-and-neck in their competition for the starting job, with both reportedly improving in recent practices after struggling through the first few days.

Colts' Daniel Jones: QB competition remains close
Rotowire
Jones and Anthony Richardson have remained neck and neck throughout the Colts training camp quarterback competition, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
The two signal-callers continue to share training camp reps, with coach Shane Steichen not yet inclined to reveal his plan for who will get the starting nod in the team's Aug. 7 preseason opener against the Ravens. Following Thursday's practice, Steichen noted that both players "have made plays at a high level the past couple of days, and that's what you want to see. You want to see growth; you want to see completions; you want to see the offense moving up and down the field. So, both have been doing a really good job."

Colts' Daniel Jones: Splits reps with Richardson
Rotowire
Jones and Anthony Richardson split first-team QB snaps during Wednesday's opening training camp practice, Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Per the report, the Colts held four team periods during Wednesday's session, with Jones working with the starters for the first two, while Richardson took the first-team snaps during the final two. In the process, each quarterback was given 16 team snaps, which aligns with coach Shane Steichen's plan to alternate the two signal-callers in training camp as they compete for the Week 1 starting assignment. While there's a chance that Richardson could have some volume restrictions in the coming days after experiencing soreness in his throwing shoulder this summer, the 2023 first-rounder was cleared to participate in training camp, setting the stage for a job battle that Steichen noted is "really going to come down to who's the most consistent" as the summer progresses, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site previously reported.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Opportunity knocks
Rotowire
Colts head coach Shane Steichen said Thursday that Anthony Richardson (shoulder) is dealing with an injury and will not participate in mandatory minicamp June 10-12, leaving Jones in position to dominate first-team reps.
Jones and Richardson have been positioned to split first-team reps in what looks like a truly open competition for the No. 1 quarterback gig, but the latter signal-caller is now sidelined due to an injury to his throwing shoulder and without a return timetable other than hopefully being back "at some point" in training camp, per James Boyd of The Athletic. That leaves Jones, who inked a one-year, $14 million deal with Indianapolis in March, staring down an opportunity to impress while handling the lion's share of first-team reps in mandatory minicamp, and potentially longer depending on Richardson's recovery. Boyd reports that Richardson's shoulder injury is related to the AC joint issue that ended his 2023 rookie campaign early. While Boyd notes that Richardson's current injury isn't expected to require surgery, this appears to be a situation that could fluctuate. For at least mandatory minicamp, Jones will work to take advantage of the opportunity before him and establish quick chemistry with top wideouts Michael Pittman and Josh Downs, as well as rookie 14th overall pick TE Tyler Warren.

Colts' Daniel Jones: One-year deal made official
Rotowire
Jones signed a one-year contract with the Colts on Wednesday, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports.
Per Stephen Holder of ESPN.com, Jones' contract is guaranteed for $13.15 million and will be worth up to $14 million if he's active for all 17 regular-season games. The deal also contains up to $3.7 million in additional performance-based incentives. The stage is thus set for Jones -- the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft -- to compete with Anthony Richardson for the Colts' starting quarterback job throughout training camp and the preseason.

Colts' Daniel Jones: In line to sign with Indy
Rotowire
Jones is slated to sign with the Colts as both sides work to finalize a one-year contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Jones' contract will be a one-year, $14 million deal once finalized, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The former Giants quarterback reportedly had an avenue to return to Minnesota, where he could have served as a veteran mentor to J.J. McCarthy (knee), but landing in Indianapolis will instead provide Jones with an opportunity to compete for the starting job against Anthony Richardson (back). General manager Chris Ballard had referred to an upcoming "open competition" between Richardson and a signal-caller to be determined, a role that will now be filled by Jones.
