Seahawks' Jason Myers: Five missed kicks in preseason
Myers went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and missed his lone PAT in Friday's 9-9 preseason tie against the Chiefs.
Myers converted a 46-yard attempt in the first quarter but missed a PAT in the fourth quarter to keep Seattle's lead at 9-6. After the Chiefs tied the game, Myers missed an opportunity to give the Seahawks their only win of the preseason by pushing a 52-yard field-goal attempt wide right on the final play of the game. Myers missed his only field-goal attempt in Seattle's preseason opener against the Cowboys and went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts while missing a PAT in the Seahawks' second preseason game. His preseason inaccuracy represents a significant departure from Myers' strong performance during the 2025 regular season, when he converted 41 of his league-high 48 field-goal attempts.

Seahawks' Jason Myers: Misses field goal in preseason opener
Myers missed his only field-goal attempt from 45 yards out and made his only extra-point try in the Seahawks' 17-7 preseason loss to the Cowboys on Saturday.
The veteran kicker's miss went wide right late in the first half at the end of a 15-play march. Myers is coming off a 2025 regular season during which he recorded new career highs in made field goals (41) and field-goal attempts (48), and he also tied a career best with nine makes from 50-plus yards. Despite Saturday's miss, Myers is fully expected to serve as Seattle's placekicker again this season.

Seahawks' Jason Myers: Returns as Seattle's top kicker
As the coming season approaches, Myers is set to retain his role as the Seahawks' top kicker, Michael Hanich of SI.com reports.
In that role with the defending Super Bowl champions, Myers racked up a career high and league-leading 171 points in 2025, while making 41 of his 48 field-goal attempts and all 48 of his extra-point tries in 17 regular-season contests. Looking ahead to the coming campaign, the 35-year-old -- who currently is the only kicker on his team's roster -- should maintain a solid enough weekly floor working behind the Seahawks offense to maintain fantasy viability in 2026, even if he sees a modest reduction in terms of volume.

Seahawks' Jason Myers: Fantastic showing in Super Bowl
Myers connected on all five field-goal attempts and both extra-point tries in Sunday's 29-13 win over the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
Myers accounted for the Seahawks' first 12 points of the game, and he finished with 17 total points. The 34-year-old kicker completed a perfect postseason, drilling all eight field-goal attempts and 11 extra-point tries through three playoff games. Myers was dependable during the regular season, too, making 85 percent of his field goals and every extra point. He's heading into the final year of his contract but could be an extension candidate as the Seahawks look to retain their title in 2026.
