Jimmy Moreland: Suspended for three games
The league suspended Moreland for three games Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The reason for Moreland's suspension hasn't been announced, but if he were to sign with a team, he would be required to be sidelined for at least three games. Moreland last played in 2021 with the Texans, during which he registered two tackles across seven regular-season games.

Jimmy Moreland: Let go from injured reserve
Moreland (hand) was let go by the Jets from injured reserve with a settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Moreland will head to free agency despite having previously been placed on injured reserve after suffering a hand injury during the team's preseason finale. Now free to sign elsewhere once he's healthy, the 28-year-old will look to catch on with another team despite having not appeared in a game since 2021.

Jimmy Moreland: Lands with practice squad
Moreland signed a contract with the Jets' practice squad Wednesday.
Moreland reached an injury settlement with the Eagles on Aug. 24 after reverting to the team's IR one week prior. The Jets signed the 27-year-old after also elevating fellow defensive back Will Parks to the team's active roster Wednesday. Moreland is now eligible to appear in three games via gameday elevations while on the team's practice squad this season.

Moreland (ankle) and the Eagles have reached an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Moreland injured his ankle on Aug. 7 and was ultimately waived/injured by the team last week. After going unclaimed, he reverted to the IR. Now, he will be free to find a new landing spot once he is healthy.

Moreland made seven appearances for the Texans last season, registering eight snaps on defense and 38 on special teams. The 2019 seventh-round pick was a starter his first two years in Washington, but a litany of issues derailed his only campaign in Houston. He'll look to latch onto another squad before the start of training camp.
