  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Season-best performance in loss

Goedert brought in nine of 11 targets for 110 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' 34-17 loss to the Giants on Thursday night. Goedert led the Eagles across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets with those marks, and his game-best 36-yard catch also qualified as a season-high figure. The veteran tight end has scored all five of his touchdowns this season over the last four games, and that tally ties a career best for Goedert, who also recorded the same number of trips to the end zone in 2019. With 20 targets in his last two games alone, Goedert will remain a highly viable option in all formats during a Week 7 road matchup against the Vikings on Sunday, Oct. 19.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Gets into end zone again Sunday

Goedert brought in three of nine targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' 21-17 loss to the Broncos on Sunday. Goedert was surprisingly second on the Eagles in targets, but he had the third-fewest receiving yards during an inefficient afternoon against a tough Denver defense. Nevertheless, Goedert got into the end zone for the third time in the last two games on a two-yard catch just past the halfway point of the second quarter. Goedert has all four of his touchdowns this season in the last three games, and although he's averaging only 8.9 yards per reception, he remains an intriguing option at his position for a favorable road Week 6 matchup against the Giants on Thursday night.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Doesn't practice due to knee issue

Goedert was held out of practice Wednesday due to a knee injury. Goedert sat out Week 2 due to a sprained knee but otherwise has played in the Eagles' three other games this season, combining for a 12-114-3 line on 13 targets. He's also earned at least a 75 percent snap share on all three occasions. It's unclear if the current injury is related to the previous one, but after a DNP to begin Week 5 prep, he'll have opportunities Thursday and Friday to prove his health ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Not looking good for Sunday

Goedert (knee) isn't practicing Friday, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports. Goedert handled a 92 percent route share and a team-high seven targets in last Thursday's win over Dallas, but a knee sprain has kept him out of practice ever since, making the tight end unlikely to play this Sunday at Kansas City. With Goedert trending in the wrong direction, Grant Calcaterra and Kylen Granson figure to get most of the snaps at tight end. No. 3 WR Jahan Dotson also could add more playing time relative to Week 1, after the Eagles used multi-TE formations on around half of their snaps in the opener.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Goedert (knee) didn't practice Wednesday. Per Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia, Goedert is dealing with a knee sprain in the wake of the Eagles' season-opening win against the Cowboys, leaving his status uncertain for Sunday's showdown on the road with the Chiefs. The injury isn't believed to be a long-term concern, but the Eagles clearly are exercising caution with their No. 1 TE. Goedert will have two more chances to mix into drills this week before Philadelphia potentially makes a ruling on his status for Week 2. Grant Calcaterra and Kylen Granson are the current healthy options at the position on the active roster.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Busy night in Week 1 win

Goedert brought in all seven targets for 44 yards in the Eagles' 24-20 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night. Goedert recorded a co-game-high reception total and was second on the Eagles in receiving yards on a night when Jalen Hurts threw for a modest 152 yards. The veteran tight end was peppered with a team-high target tally by Hurts as the Cowboys focused plenty of attention on A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, leading to a productive start to the campaign for Goedert. He should be involved in a complementary capacity at minimum during a Week 2 road Super Bowl rematch with the Chiefs on Sunday, Sept. 14.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Limited with injury Tuesday

Goedert (groin) was a limited participant at Tuesday's practice, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Goedert and DeVonta Smith (groin), who did not practice, are new additions to the injury report, while A.J. Brown (hamstring) also remained sidelined due to an injury he's dealt with for the majority of training camp. While Goedert practicing in a limited fashion suggests he's only dealing with a minor injury, that could be enough for him to be held out of Friday's preseason finale against the Jets, in the event that the rest of Philadelphia's starters do suit up.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Full practice Wednesday

Goedert (ankle) practiced fully Wednesday. Goedert didn't take part in drills during the first week of Super Bowl prep due to an ankle injury, but the Eagles didn't hand him a designation on last Friday's practice report, indicating that there was little concern about his availability for Sunday's contest against the Chiefs. Indeed, with an uncapped session under his belt to begin this week, he's set to serve as Philadelphia's top tight end in the Super Bowl.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Sidesteps injury designation

Goedert (rest/ankle) doesn't have a designation for Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9 versus the Chiefs. Goedert is dealing with an ankle injury for a second straight week, as he was held out of all drills during the first week of Super Bowl prep. As the situation currently stands, he doesn't appear to be in danger of missing the final game of the campaign. Considering his recent practice regimens, though, Goedert may have some limitations once the Eagles arrive in New Orleans next week, meaning his status will continue to be monitored to get a sense of his level of health.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: DNP on Thursday

Goedert (rest/ankle) didn't practice Thursday. For a second week in a row, Goedert has been listed as a non-participant on the first two Eagles injury reports due to an ankle issue. Last week, he was able to cap it with a full session and enter the weekend without a designation for the NFC Championship Game, when he handled an 82 percent snap share en route to seven catches (on eight targets) for 85 yards in a 55-23 win against the Commanders. With more than a week to prepare for a Super Bowl matchup with the Chiefs on Sunday, Feb. 9, Goedert has plenty of time to prove the health of his ankle in advance of that contest.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Estimated as non-participant

Goedert (rest/ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report. An ankle issue affected Goedert's practice participation ahead of this past Sunday's 55-23 win over the Commanders in the NFC Championship Game, but he approached that contest without an injury designation and ending up logging 58 of 71 snaps on offense while catching seven of his eight targets for 85 yards and carrying twice for 13 yards. With no reported setbacks coming out of that contest, Goedert's listed absence Wednesday was likely a result of the Eagles managing his reps. He's not expected to face any limitations in the Eagles' Feb. 9 Super Bowl matchup with the Chiefs.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Quietly strong year continues

Goedert caught seven of eight targets for 85 yards while rushing twice for 13 yards in Sunday's 55-23 win over the Commanders in the NFC Championship Game. Goedert led the Eagles in receptions, tied A.J. Brown for the team lead in targets and finished just 11 receiving yards short of Brown's team-leading total. If you take away Week 6, when Goedert got hurt after playing three snaps against the Browns, he's averaging 52.6 receiving yards in 13 other combined regular-season and postseason games. That average was topped by only George Kittle, Trey McBride and Brock Bowers in the regular season among all NFL tight ends. Goedert will play in his second Super Bowl on Feb. 9 in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, having been part of the Philadelphia team that lost Super Bowl LVII to the Chiefs two years ago.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Clear for NFC Championship Game

Goedert (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's NFC Championship Game versus the Commanders. The Eagles held Goedert out of drills both Wednesday and Thursday due to an ankle injury, but he got back on the field Friday as a full participant and thus will be available this weekend. He even relayed to Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia that the plan all along was for Philadelphia to manage the tight end to ensure he was good to go with the team just one win away from a Super Bowl berth. In his sole appearance against Washington this season back in Week 11, Goedert hauled in all five of his targets for 61 yards, which marked his third-highest yardage total of the campaign (including playoffs).

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Officially DNP on Thursday

Goedert (ankle) didn't practice Thursday. Coach Nick Sirianni told Tim McManus of ESPN.com earlier Thursday that Goedert would be on the practice field. Per Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the preceding came to pass, but Goedert also didn't take part in warmups and remained on the sideline, ultimately going down as a DNP for a second straight day. Goedert thus will have one more chance to mix into drills this week during Friday's session, at which point the Eagles could make a ruling on his availability for Sunday's NFC Championship Game versus the Commanders.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Leading receiver as Philly advances

Goedert caught all four of his targets for 56 yards in Sunday's 28-22 divisional-round win over the Rams. The tight end led all Eagles pass catchers in yardage, as Jalen Hurts threw for only 128 yards on the day. Goedert is having a solid playoff so far, posting an 8-103-1 line on 10 targets through two games, and with the team's passing game being subordinate to its run game, he might be the most reliable downfield option Philly has heading into an NFC Championship Game clash against the Commanders.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Back at practice Friday

Goedert (illness) returned to practice Friday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports. Goedert made a midweek appearance on the Eagles' injury report Thursday as a non-participant due to an illness. Because the bug seemingly was a temporary concern, he may not be in danger of missing Sunday's divisional-round game against the Rams. Ultimately, Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not Goedert heads into the weekend with a designation.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Comes down with illness

Goedert didn't practice Thursday due to an illness, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. After sitting out Weeks 14-17 due to a knee injury and making a cameo Week 18 against the Giants, Goedert returned to a normal workload this past Sunday versus the Packers, handling a 92 percent snap share en route to four catches (on six targets) for 47 yards and one touchdown. With an illness now afflicting him, his status will be one to monitor ahead of Sunday's divisional-round game against the Rams.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Hauls in TD against Green Bay

Goedert caught four of six targets for 47 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 22-10 wild-card round win over the Packers. The tight end connected with Jalen Hurts on a 24-yard score late in the third quarter to help put the game out of reach. Goedert has gotten into the end zone in three of his last six games dating back to Week 10, but that stretch was interrupted by an IR stint late in the regular season due to a knee injury. A healthy Goedert should remain one of Hurts' top options in the divisional round.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Four grabs in return from IR

Goedert caught four of six targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Giants. Making his return from a four-game absence due to a knee injury, Goedert shook off any rust fairly quickly despite the fact that he was catching passes from Tanner McKee rather than Jalen Hurts (concussion). The Eagles are optimistic about Hurts' chances of suiting up next weekend in a wild-card clash against the Packers, but Goedert should have a significant role in the offense regardless of who is under center. Through 10 regular-season appearances in 2024, Goedert caught 42 of 52 targets for 496 yards and two TDs.
... See More ... See Less
  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Activated from IR

The Eagles activated Goedert (knee) from injured reserve Saturday, and the tight end doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Giants. After practicing fully all week, Goedert will be available for his first game action since he suffered a knee injury Week 13 at Baltimore. While many of the Eagles starters won't suit up in the season finale, the team seemingly wants Goedert to get his legs under him in a game scenario in advance of the playoffs. It's unclear how much run he may get Sunday, but Grant Calcaterra and E.J. Jenkins will be Philadelphia's other options at tight end this weekend.
