Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Solid yardage total in loss
Rotowire
Mayfield completed 19 of 34 passes for 277 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while adding one rush for one yard in the Buccaneers' 29-28 loss to the Falcons on Thursday night. He also threw a two-point conversion pass.
Mayfield clawed his way to an impressive yardage total despite finding himself under constant pressure, taking five sacks and seven official hits overall. The veteran signal-caller did clearly benefit from the returns of Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan from injured reserve, as the duo accounted for 170 total receiving yards, with 132 of those coming from Evans. Mayfield's one interception was also particularly critical to the outcome, as it came with 8:28 remaining at the Falcons' 33-yard line and ultimately led to an Atlanta touchdown that narrowed what had been a 28-20 deficit. On the brighter side, Mayfield's yardage total was his best since Week 5, and he'll aim to keep the Buccaneers' playoff hopes afloat with a more efficient performance in a Week 16 road matchup against the Panthers on Sunday, Dec. 21.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Mayfield has not been a good Fantasy quarterback of late with four games in a row with 18.8 points or less, and he's been under 200 passing yards and has no games with multiple touchdown passes over that span. But things should change for him in Week 15 against the Falcons. Mike Evans (collarbone) and Jalen McMillan (neck) could be active this week, which would give Mayfield his entire receiving corps for the first time all season. And he loves playing Atlanta. Mayfield has scored at least 24.1 Fantasy points in his past four games against the Falcons, including 28.6 points in Week 1. Atlanta has also allowed three of the past four quarterbacks to score at least 23.3 Fantasy points, including Bryce Young, Tyrod Taylor and Sam Darnold. This should be the slump buster that Mayfield needs to get back on track as a No. 1 Fantasy quarterback.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Forgettable afternoon in loss
Rotowire
Mayfield completed 14 of 30 passes for 122 yards with a touchdown and an interception while adding six rushes for 42 yards in the Buccaneers' 24-20 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
Mayfield's final line underscores the type of afternoon it was for the normally efficient veteran signal-caller, who surprisingly struggled to a 44.9 QBR in a game for which the Buccaneers were heavily favored. Mayfield connected with Bucky Irving for a 24-yard touchdown pass just before the midway point of the first quarter, but his one interception on a deep pass to Kameron Johnson early in the third quarter led to a Saints touchdown. Mayfield could get Mike Evans (IR, collarbone) back for a Week 15 home matchup against the Falcons on Thursday night to help the quarterback bounce back from his lowest passing yardage total in a non-injury-shortened game this season.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Set for Week 14 action
Rotowire
Mayfield (left shoulder) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Saints, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Mayfield opened Week 14 prep with a limited walkthrough Wednesday due to the AC joint sprain that he suffered in his left shoulder during a Week 12 loss at the Rams. He capped the week with full sessions Thursday and Friday, clearing him to suit up again Sunday. Mayfield's available skill-position talent will be composed of RBs Bucky Irving and Rachaad White, WRs Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin, Tez Johnson and Sterling Shepard and TE Cade Otton after WRs Mike Evans (collarbone) and Jalen McMillan (neck), both of whom were designated to return from IR this week, were ruled out by Tampa Bay.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Back to full practice
Rotowire
Mayfield (left shoulder) was a full practice participant Thursday.
Mayfield has been dealing with an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder since the midpoint of a Week 12 loss at the Rams, but he played through the issue this past Sunday versus the Cardinals, completing 18 of 28 passes for 194 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions while turning six carries into 27 yards. He was among five key Buccaneers skill-position players to be limited at Wednesday's walkthrough, but all of him, RB Bucky Irving (shoulder) and WR Chris Godwin (fibula) bumped up to all activity Thursday, while WRs Mike Evans (collarbone) and Jalen McMillan (neck), both of whom were designated to return from IR this week, again operated with a cap on their reps. Friday's injury report will reveal if either or both of Evans and McMillan have a chance to rejoin Tampa Bay's receiving corps Sunday versus the Saints.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Mayfield has scored 18.8 Fantasy points or less in three games in a row and five times in his past six outings, including Week 8 at New Orleans when he only scored 4.1 points. Four of those bad games were on the road, but Mayfield is averaging 22.3 Fantasy points at home this season. And prior to his dud against the Saints earlier this year, Mayfield scored at least 20.3 Fantasy points against New Orleans in four games in a row. Six quarterbacks this season have scored at least 21.5 Fantasy points against the Saints, and I'm counting on Mayfield to get back on track at home in this matchup.
Mayfield (left shoulder) was a limited participant at Wednesday's walkthrough.
Mayfield didn't play after halftime of a Week 12 loss at the Rams due to what eventually was diagnosed as an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder. He was able to play through it this past Sunday against the Cardinals, completing 18 of 28 passes for 194 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions and turning six carries into 27 yards. The Buccaneers listed all of RB Bucky Irving (shoulder) and WRs Mike Evans (collarbone, IR), Chris Godwin (fibula) and Jalen McMillan (neck, IR) as limited Wednesday, so the overall situation bears watching as the week continues to get a sense of who Mayfield will be throwing to Sunday versus the Saints, assuming he's active himself.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Solid as game manager Sunday
Rotowire
Mayfield completed 18 of 28 passes for 194 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions while adding six carries for 27 yards in the Buccaneers' 20-17 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by Tampa Bay.
Mayfield was able to manage effectively despite playing with a left shoulder support following his injury against the Rams last Sunday night, avoiding turnovers and completing passes to nine different targets overall. He also saw Chris Godwin commit a rare drop on a perfectly thrown would-be touchdown pass in the first half, but he did just enough overall to keep Tampa Bay ahead of a feisty Jacoby Brissett-led offense on the other side. Mayfield's two-yard touchdown toss to left tackle Tristan Wirfs late in the first half also extended the veteran signal-caller's streak of games with a TD pass to four, and he'll look for an even more productive performance with presumably better health in a Week 14 home matchup against the Saints.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Could play with protective padding
Rotowire
Mayfield is expected to start Sunday against the Cardinals and could wear padding to protect his left shoulder, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Mayfield sustained a low-grade AC joint sprain in his left shoulder during the Buccaneers' Week 12 loss to the Rams. Teddy Bridgewater opened Week 13 prep taking reps with the first-team offense, but Mayfield logged a full practice Friday to draw the questionable tag and is expected to suit up Sunday. Mayfield's status may not be officially known until Tampa Bay announces its list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Limited Thursday
Rotowire
Mayfield (left shoulder) was listed as limited on Thursday's practice report.
Mayfield missed the second half of this past Sunday's loss at the Rams with a left shoulder injury that eventually was revealed to be a sprained AC joint. He then opened Week 13 prep with no activity at Wednesday's walkthrough before the Buccaneers upgraded his activity level one day later. Mayfield thus will have one more chance to prove his health this week, at which point Friday's injury report will reveal his odds to suit up Sunday against the Cardinals. Teddy Bridgewater is on hand to lead the offense if Mayfield ends up sidelined this weekend.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: QBs to Sit
Rotowire
Mayfield is going to try and play through the left shoulder injury he sustained in Week 12 at the Rams, but I wouldn't start him in one-quarterback leagues at less than 100 percent. The Cardinals are No. 10 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and only four guys this season have scored at least 20 Fantasy points against Arizona. Mayfield has also scored 18.8 Fantasy points or less in four of his past five games, and he should only be trusted in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 13.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Sits out Wednesday's walkthrough
Rotowire
Mayfield (left shoulder) was a non-participant at Wednesday's walkthrough.
Mayfield injured his left non-throwing shoulder during this past Sunday's loss at the Rams and was ruled out from returning after halftime. After undergoing an MRI, he was revealed to have suffered a sprained AC joint, and, while it's considered a low-grade sprain, he does have a chance to suit up Week 13 against the Cardinals, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Ultimately, Mayfield's ability to play will be tied to pain management, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, so he may not need to practice this week in order to be available Sunday. Teddy Bridgewater is on hand in the event Mayfield isn't able to play.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Chance to play Week 13
Rotowire
Mayfield (shoulder) is dealing with a low-grade AC joint sprain and has a chance to be available Sunday versus the Cardinals, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Mayfield's availability for Week 13, or lack thereof, will largely come down to pain management, per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, so it will be encouraging if he's able to show up as at least a limited participant on Wednesday's practice report. Per Stroud, Mayfield is participating in the early portion of Wednesday's walkthrough. Overall, though, it's a relief for the Buccaneers' offense that Mayfield's MRI on Monday didn't reveal worse than a low grade sprain. Teddy Bridgewater remains on hand to start versus Arizona in the event that Mayfield isn't cleared to play.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Set for MRI on shoulder Monday
Rotowire
Mayfield sprained his left shoulder during Sunday's 34-7 loss to the Rams and will undergo an MRI on Monday, head coach Todd Bowles relayed after the game, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Mayfield was deemed doubtful to return at halftime and ruled out shortly thereafter. He seemed to initially injure his non-throwing shoulder on a 14-yard touchdown pass to Tez Johnson in the second quarter, and the injury worsened when Mayfield tried to throw the ball as far as he could on the final play of the first half. Along with that touchdown pass, Mayfield had two interceptions in Sunday's loss. Teddy Bridgewater played the second half Sunday and would get the start Nov. 30 against the Cardinals if Mayfield isn't available.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Deemed doubtful to return at half
Rotowire
Mayfield (left shoulder) is doubtful to return to Sunday's game against the Rams, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Mayfield injured his non-throwing shoulder when attempting to throw a Hail Mary on the final play of the first half. He likely aggravated an injury sustained earlier in the first half, as he previously returned to the game after being examined in the injury tent, per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Mayfield completed nine of 19 pass attempts for 41 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions while rushing four times for 19 yards prior to being deemed doubtful to return at halftime. Teddy Bridgewater is expected to take over under center in the second half.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Full practice Thursday
Rotowire
Mayfield (illness) practiced fully Thursday.
Mayfield opened Week 12 prep as limited at Wednesday's walkthrough due to an illness, but his return to all activity one day later puts him in the clear for Sunday's game at the Rams. Meanwhile, RB Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot) and WR Emeka Egbuka (illness) remained limited participants Thursday, meaning who will be available in the Buccaneers' skill positions is in flux ahead of the weekend.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Mayfield is coming off a down game at Buffalo with just 18.8 Fantasy points, and he's been under 20 points in three of his past four games, all on the road. The Rams also just held Sam Darnold to 4.3 Fantasy points and rank No. 6 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. So why are we starting Mayfield? He has done well in tough matchups this season at Houston (23.9), vs. Philadelphia (22.9), at Seattle (30.7) and vs. New England (28.9), and this feels like a shootout between Mayfield and Matthew Stafford. I'm still going to trust Mayfield as a No. 1 quarterback in this game.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: QBs to Start

The Bills are No. 4 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, so I can understand some trepidation to start Mayfield in Week 11 on the road. And while Buffalo did well in holding Drake Maye and Patrick Mahomes to 12.1 Fantasy points or less, the Bills have padded their resume with locking down Justin Fields, Tua Tagovailoa twice, Spencer Rattler, Michael Penix Jr. and Andy Dalton. Mayfield has actually done well in tough matchups this season at Atlanta (28.6 Fantasy points), at Houston (23.9), vs. Philadelphia (22.9), at Seattle (30.7) and vs. New England (28.9). I'm going to trust him as a No. 1 quarterback in this game, which is projected to be the highest-scoring total of the week at 49.5 points. Hopefully, we get a shootout with Mayfield and Josh Allen.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Three-TD effort wasted in loss
Rotowire
Mayfield completed 28 of 43 passes for 273 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Buccaneers' 28-23 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Mayfield's final numbers were certainly appealing from a fantasy perspective, although some of the yardage came on a last-ditch drive that he capped off with his final touchdown pass of the day, an 11-yard strike to Tez Johnson. That play was preceded by 21- and 10-yard TDs to Emeka Egbuka and Johnson, respectively, giving Mayfield his first three-touchdown-pass tally since Week 1. The veteran signal-caller's numbers were all the more impressive considering the ongoing absences of Mike Evans (IR, collarbone/concussion), Chris Godwin (fibula) and Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot), and he figures to once again shoulder a heavy workload through the air when the Buccaneers face the Bills on the road in Week 11.

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Mayfield is due for a big game after scoring a combined 17.2 Fantasy points in his past two outings against Detroit and New Orleans prior to Tampa Bay's bye in Week 9. We'll see if the Buccaneers will get Chris Godwin (leg) and Bucky Irving (foot) back for this game, and Mayfield could use the reinforcements. That said, I still like him as a No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues in what could be a shootout with Drake Maye. The Patriots just allowed Michael Penix Jr. to score 28.7 Fantasy points in New England in Week 9, and Mayfield is averaging 22.1 Fantasy points at home this year.
