Billy Price: Announces retirement
Price announced Saturday that he has retired from the NFL due to a respiratory blood clot, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
The 2018 first-round pick bounced around multiple practice squads over the past two years, but he never managed to make any starts. The offensive lineman underwent emergency pulmonary embolism surgery to remove clots that had entered both of his lungs during the offseason. While the surgery was a success, the resulting complications of potential internal bleeds will end his career after five seasons.

Billy Price: Let go by Saints
Price (undisclosed) was released by the Saints with a non-football injury designation Thursday.
Both the nature of the injury and how it was suffered are unclear. Price started 11 games with the Cardinals in 2022 and is capable of playing both guard and center. If he can get past his current issue, it may not take him long to find a new home.
