  • Chargers' Dalvin Tomlinson: Returning for Week 5

Tomlinson (hamstring) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

A hamstring injury has sidelined Tomlinson for the Chargers' last two games, but he avoided an injury tag for Sunday's AFC West tilt after logging a full practice Friday. He'll solidify the Chargers' depth on the defensive line behind Jamaree Caldwell, Teair Tart and Justin Eboigbe.

  • Chargers' Dalvin Tomlinson: Won't play in Week 4

Tomlinson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

A hamstring injury will cause Tomlinson to miss two consecutive games. The next time he can play is Week 5 against the Broncos, though he would need to log at least a limited practice to have a realistic chance of playing against Denver. Rookie fifth-rounder Nick Barrett will continue to operate in a rotational role on the defensive line in Tomlinson's absence.

  • Chargers' Dalvin Tomlinson: Ruled out for Week 3

Tomlinson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bills.

Tomlinson tweaked his hamstring against the Raiders in Week 2, and the injury prevented the veteran defensive lineman from practicing this past week. He'll aim to return for Week 4 against the Seahawks on Sunday, Oct. 4; in the meantime, Justin Eboigbe and Nick Barrett are both in line for an uptick in defensive snaps against Buffalo.

  • Chargers' Dalvin Tomlinson: Sidelined during Wednesday's practice

Tomlinson (hamstring) did not participate at practice Wednesday.

Tomlinson is expected to miss some game action after hurting his hamstring during Sunday's loss versus the Raiders, so his absence from Wednesday's practice doesn't come as a surprise. Unless he returns to practice ahead of schedule later in the week, he's trending toward being unavailable in Week 3.

  • Chargers' Dalvin Tomlinson: Expected to miss time

Tomlinson is in line to miss time after sustaining a hamstring injury during Sunday's game versus the Raiders, Noah Furtado of The Athletic reports.

The precise severity of Tomlinson's injury is still not being reported, and he has avoided being placed on IR as of Monday. However, it appears he'll probably have to sit out at least one game, which could mean increased snaps for Teair Tart.

  • Chargers' Dalvin Tomlinson: Exits with hamstring issue

Tomlinson (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Tomlinson exited the second half of Sunday's matchup with a hamstring issue. Justin Eboigbe or Nick Barrett will likely fill in for the starting nose tackle while the Chargers' medical staff determines if Tomlinson can return to the game.

  • Chargers' Dalvin Tomlinson: Signs with Bolts

Tomlinson and the Chargers agreed to terms on a one-year, $7.5 million deal Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The 32-year-old defensive lineman from Alabama was dropped by the Cardinals on Mar. 6 but has since found a new home in Los Angeles. Tomlinson appeared in 17 games last season, recording 26 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, and one pass defensed. Now with the Chargers, he's expected to operate as one of the team's top interior defensive linemen during the 2026 season.

  • Dalvin Tomlinson: Cut loose by Arizona

The Cardinals released Tomlinson on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Tomlinson and the Cardinals agreed to a two-year, $29 million contract in March of 2025, but the 2017 second-rounder will end up playing just one season in Arizona. He finished the 2025 regular season with 26 tackles (13 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one pass defense over 17 games. Tomlinson should attract interest from teams looking to add a veteran defensive lineman to the roster.
