Brandon Bostick: Doesn't receive RFA tender
The Jets chose not to tender Bostick, making him an unrestricted free agent, the New York Post reports.
The lowest restricted free-agent tender still costs $1.8 million, which is significantly more than the type of near minimum contract Bostick will likely receive. He caught only eight passes in 16 games last season, serving mostly as the No. 2 or 3 tight end. Regardless of where he lands, the 27-year-old likely will have to fight for a roster spot in training camp.

Jets' Brandon Bostick: Will play Saturday
Bostick (ankle) will suit up for Saturday's matchup with the Dolphins.
Bostick was held out of Wednesday's practice due to his injury, but he was able to get in limited sessions both of the last two days, and will be able to take the field Saturday. Bostick is listed as the starting tight end on the Jets' depth chart, but he was a distant third in snaps played last week behind Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Eric Tomlinson.

Jets' Brandon Bostick: Doesn't practice Wednesday
Bostick (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday.
Bostick was unable to return to Sunday's win over the 49ers after suffering an ankle injury, and his status for Saturday's tilt against the Dolphins is up in the air at this point. If he's ultimately ruled out, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Eric Tomlinson would be the Jets' only healthy options at tight end in Week 15.

Jets' Brandon Bostick: Injures ankle Sunday
Bostick suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's win at San Francisco and didn't return.
Prior to his departure early in the third quarter, Bostick hauled in both of his targets for 17 yards, bringing his totals on the season to seven receptions (on nine targets) for 56 yards. If he requires some time off, Austin Seferian-Jenkins will assume the top perch among Jets tight ends.

Jets' Brandon Bostick: Catches first pass of the season
Bostick caught his lone target for a nine-yard gain Sunday against the Steelers.
No Jets tight end caught a pass in the first four games of the season, and while Bostick was finally able to get his first reception, newly signed Austin Seferian-Jenkins caught both of his targets for 17 yards Sunday. While the progress is good, there's little reason to think either player will be a viable fantasy option in most formats.
