Lamur was claimed off waivers by the Jets on Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Lamur was waived by the Raiders on Tuesday after playing only five defensive snaps in the last two games and was a healthy scratch in the previous three. The 29-year-old has 13 tackles (11 solo) and should serve in a depth role at inside linebacker in New York.

Lamur spent time with both Minnesota and Cincinnati over the past five seasons before making the switch to silver and black. Based on the fact that he was downgraded to out, it's reasonable to speculate that Lamur did suffer a concussion. The team likely won't confirm for some time, but he'll have to go through the league's mandated protocol before returning to the field, a process that can take weeks. Lamur is expected to function as a depth linebacker this season for the Vikings. It's unlikely that this injury will cost him a roster spot, but stranger things have happened.
