Patriots' Greg Scruggs: Placed on IR
Scruggs (knee) was placed on IR on Saturday, Mike Reiss of ESPN reports.
Scruggs signed with the Patriots two weeks ago and appeared in their last two games prior to injuring his knee. It remains unclear what the specifics of his knee injury are but he'll now have more than enough time to recover. As the last tight end option on the team, his absence won't impact the offense greatly.
