Adrian Amos: Headed to Bay Area
The 49ers signed Amos to the practice squad Tuesday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Amos played in 16 regular-season games between the Texans and Jets in 2023, and finished with 28 tackles (23 solo) and one pass defended. He signed with the Jaguars in early August, but he was unsuccessful in making the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. Amos will provide much-needed depth for the 49ers, as George Odum and Ji'Ayir Brown are the only healthy safeties on the active roster.

Jaguars' Adrian Amos: Headed to Duval
Amos signed a deal with the Jaguars on Tuesday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
Amos began the 2023 season with the Jets, then joined the Texans in December after being waived. Across 16 regular-season games last year, the 2015 fifth-round pick accumulated 28 tackles (23 solo) and one pass defended. Amos will add depth to the Jaguars' secondary behind starting safeties Andre Cisco and Darnell Savage.

Texans' Adrian Amos: Finds new home
Amos signed a contract with the Texans on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Amos was waived by the Jets on Saturday and was able to clear waivers, making him a free agent. The veteran saw his role shrink in New York as the season went along and paved the way for his departure. Amos should help provide some depth and stability at safety for Houston, who has dealt with multiple injuries at the position this season, including having M.J. Stewart (shoulder) and Eric Murray (knee) on injured reserve for the time being.

Adrian Amos: Parts ways with Jets
Amos was waived by the Jets on Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Amos and the Jets reportedly both agreed to part ways. This is not too surprising, as the veteran safety has seen his role reduced since the first four weeks of the season. He will now be free to look for a new opportunity of his choosing, assuming he clears waivers.

Jets' Adrian Amos: Quiet debut with New York
Amos registered two solo tackles in Monday's 22-16 win over the Bills.
Amos signed with the Jets in June and he operated as a backup to Tony Adams at free safety in Week 1. Considering Amos only played 10 defensive snaps in the contest, his production in 2023 could be far lower than his career averages if his role doesn't change.
