  • Commanders' Chris Moore: Blanked in Week 8

Moore went without a target while playing 23 of the Commanders' 53 snaps on offense in Monday's 28-7 loss to the Chiefs. Moore had logged at least five targets in both of the Commanders' previous two games, but the return of Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel from injury ended up pushing Moore down in the pass-catching hierarchy Monday. He ended up sharing the No. 4 receiver role with rookie Jaylin Lane, who played an equal number of snaps but drew two more targets on the night. McLaurin left the game in the fourth quarter due to an apparent aggravation of his quadriceps injury, so if he's unable to play in Washington's next game Sunday versus the Seahawks, both Moore and Lane could see their roles increase.

  • Commanders' Chris Moore: Week 8 Waiver Priority List

We'll see if Deebo Samuel (foot) or Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) can play in Week 8 at the Chiefs, and if either one is active then I have little interest in Moore or Jaylin Lane (4 percent rostered). And keep in mind that Jayden Daniels (hamstring) could be out. But with Samuel and McLaurin out in Week 7 at Dallas, Moore and Lane both had some positive production. Moore had five targets and finished with two catches for 59 yards, and Lane had six targets and finished with three catches for 60 yards. Both could be No. 3 Fantasy receivers in the majority of leagues if Samuel or McLaurin remain out against the Chiefs. You can also drop Luke McCaffrey (52 percent rostered) since he was barely involved against the Cowboys with no catches on two targets.

  • Commanders' Chris Moore: Gains 59 yards Sunday

Moore finished with two receptions on five targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 44-22 loss to Dallas. Moore continued filling in for injured starters after popping up with a 3-46-1 receiving line against the Bears in Week 6. Jaylin Lane (3-60-0) finished as Washington's leading receiver in an otherwise forgettable overall performance against a division rival. Moore could be find himself in another elevated role against the Chiefs if Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Deebo Samuel (knee) remain sidelined next Monday.

  • Commanders' Chris Moore: Opportunity awaits in Week 7

Moore should see a boost in targets in Sunday's Week 7 clash against the Cowboys due to the inactive status of Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Deebo Samuel (heel), as well as the absence of Noah Brown (IR, groin/knee). The Commanders' receiving corps has suffered some serious attrition in recent weeks, and Moore is one of the last men standing for the time being. The veteran flashed with a 3-46-1 line on five targets in the Week 6 loss to the Bears, and he'll profile as one of Jayden Daniels' top targets alongside Luke McCaffrey and Jaylin Lane in Sunday's divisional showdown.

  • Commanders' Chris Moore: Blanked again in Week 5

Moore was unable to catch his only target in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Chargers. For the second consecutive week, the 32-year-old operated as the Commanders' No. 2 wideout while Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Noah Brown (groin/knee) remained out. During that span, Moore has played 72 offensive snaps and rushed once for nine yards but failed to catch any of his four targets. If McLaurin and Brown miss their third consecutive game in Week 6 against the Bears, Moore will likely play a similar role on the Commanders' offense.

  • Commanders' Chris Moore: No catches in Week 4

Moore went without a catch on three targets and rushed once for nine yards in Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Falcons. The veteran wideout played 36 offensive snaps and operated as Washington's No. 2 wideout without Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Noah Brown (groin) in Week 4, but it didn't lead to an increase in production. Moore has now caught three of six targets for 59 yards over three appearances this season. He could remain more involved in the Commanders' offensive gameplan if McLaurin or Brown are sidelined again in the Week 5 matchup against the Chargers.

  • Commanders' Chris Moore: Targeted twice

Moore caught both of his targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 41-24 win over the Raiders. Moore's 59 percent route share was tops among Washington wide receivers, albeit on an unusual afternoon that saw OC Kliff Kingsbury deploy deep rotations and a slew of players at each position. Terry McLaurin ended up suffering a quadriceps injury in the second half, potentially opening the door for Moore to have a considerable role again in Week 4 at Atlanta, although playing time won't necessarily lead to much production.

  • Commanders' Chris Moore: Moves up to active roster

The Commanders signed Moore from their practice squad to their active roster Monday. Moore was elevated for Week 1 against the Giants and caught his only target for a 34-yard reception. He didn't get elevated for Week 2, but he will now get a spot on the 53-man roster after Washington placed Austin Ekeler (Achilles) and Deatrich Wise (quadriceps) on injured reserve Monday. Moore will likely work as both a depth wideout and a special-teamer.

  • Commanders' Chris Moore: Reverts to practice squad

Moore reverted to the Commanders' practice squad Monday. Moore played 19 snaps on offense and eight on special teams and ended up hauling in his only target for 34 yards during Sunday's win over the Giants. He could be elevated again for the team's Week 2 matchup versus the Packers, considering he outplayed Luke McCaffrey on Sunday.

  • Commanders' Chris Moore: Elevated for Week 1

The Commanders elevated Moore from the practice squad Saturday. Moore will provide wideout and special-teams depth for the Commanders during their Week 1 matchup with the Giants on Sunday.

  • Chris Moore: Back with Washington

The Commanders signed Moore to the practice squad Wednesday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports. Moore failed to make the Commanders' 53-man roster after logging just one catch (on three targets) for five yards across two preseason games. The 2016 fourth-rounder will remain with the team on the practice squad and could be elevated to the active roster if the Commanders require depth at wide receiver.

  • Chris Moore: Released by Washington

The Commanders released Moore on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Moore appeared in five regular-season games for the Cardinals last season but was released in November. He signed with Washington's practice squad Dec. 26 and re-signed with the team following the season. The 32-year-old caught one pass for five yards this preseason.

  • Chris Moore: Returns to practice squad

Moore reverted to the Commanders' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Moore signed with the Commanders' practice squad in late December after being cut from the Cardinals' practice squad Nov. 5. He was elevated to Washington's active roster for Sunday's NFC wild-card game against Tampa Bay and ended up playing 12 snaps on offense, which was more than veteran Jamison Crowder (11). Moore is a candidate to be elevated to the Commanders' active roster for Saturday's NFC divisional-round game against the Lions.

  • Commanders' Chris Moore: Called upon for wild-card clash

The Commanders elevated Moore from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday. Moore played in five games for Arizona earlier this season, logging 26 offensive snaps without drawing any targets. He was cut from the Cardinals' practice squad in early November and latched on with Washington's practice squad the day after Christmas. He could see his first action with the Commanders on Sunday in the team's wild-card matchup versus Tampa Bay.

  • Chris Moore: Catches on with Washington

The Commanders signed Moore to the practice squad Thursday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports. Moore spent the first five weeks of the regular season with the Cardinals but did not record a target over that span, and he was cut from Arizona's practice squad in early November. He's had stints with the Cardinals, Titans, Texans and Ravens since being selected by Baltimore in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and over that span he has accumulated 138 catches (on 215 targets) for 1,710 yards and eight touchdowns across 111 regular-season games. Moore could be elevated to the Commanders' active roster for Sunday's game against the Falcons if either or both of Terry McLaurin (ankle) and Dyami Brown (hamstring) are unable to play.

  • Chris Moore: Back with Cardinals

Moore signed with the Cardinals' practice squad Friday. Moore was released from the Cardinals' active roster Wednesday after playing 26 offensive snaps across the team's first five games. However, it appears Arizona had a change of heart, as the 31-year-old wideout will rejoin the team's practice squad. Moore could be elevated to the active roster if Arizona's wide receiver room faces injuries at any point this season.

  • Chris Moore: Slated to be released

The Cardinals will release Moore on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Moore has played a depth role on offense through each of Arizona's first five games and failed to draw a target across 26 snaps. With Zay Jones (suspension) eligible to return to the field as early as Sunday versus Green Bay, Moore looks as though he'll find himself as the odd man out from Arizona's receiving corps. He could reunite with the Cardinals as a member of the practice squad, however.

  • Cardinals' Chris Moore: One catch Sunday

Moore caught his only target for seven yards in Sunday's 38-12 preseason loss to the Broncos. While he didn't make much of a statistical impact, Moore's lone catch came on the Cardinals' first drive of the game, suggesting he's in the lead for one of the final spots on the wide receiver depth chart. With Zay Jones (suspension) set to miss the first five games of the season, that could open up some slot snaps for a player like Moore, although Greg Dortch should get first crack at that role.

  • Cardinals' Chris Moore: Headed to Arizona

Moore signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Moore has been a possession receiver for the majority of his career, but he flashed big-play ability during the Titans in 2023. Despite making only 22 catches, he had nine receptions of at least 20 yards and three of more than 40 yards. The Cardinals lack clarity in their wide receiver corps, and while they're likely to add to the group in either free agency or through the draft, Moore steps into a situation that currently should afford him plenty of opportunity to produce.

  • Titans' Chris Moore: Deep threat for Titans

Moore recorded 22 receptions on 35 targets for 424 yards during the 2023 season with the Titans. He added two rushes for 39 yards. Moore joined Tennessee in free agency after spending the past two seasons with Houston. He saw his target total cut in half, but he made the most of his chances by delivering nine receptions of at least 20 yards. Moore will head to the open market once again this offseason, and he should be able to find another short-term deal to work in a depth role around the league.
