Jets' Sam Eguavoen: Looks ready to play Sunday
Eguavoen (hip) was a full participant at practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Eguavoen has missed the Jets' last two games due to a hip injury he sustained in Week 10 at Las Vegas, but it now appears he'll be able to return in Week 13. As long as C.J. Mosley and Quincy Williams are available, snaps for the Jets' other linebackers will likely continue to come few and far-between.

Jets' Sam Eguavoen: Still limited
Eguavoen (hip) was listed as a limited participant on Thursday's estimated practice report, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
Eguavoen was unable to play in Week 11 and appears to be in danger of missing a second straight game. However, if he is able to talk the field against the Dolphins on Friday, it should be a boost to the Jets' special-teams unit.

Jets' Sam Eguavoen: Remains out Week 12
Eguavoen (hip) is inactive for Friday's game against the Dolphins.
Eguavoen will sit out a second consecutive game, and his next opportunity to suit up will come Dec. 3 against the Falcons. The former Dolphins linebacker has played primarily on special teams for the Jets, notching just three tackles thus far in 2023.

Jets' Sam Eguavoen: Won't play Week 11
Eguavoen (hip) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Eguavoen didn't practice all week after sustaining a hip injury during the Jets' Week 10 loss to the Raiders, so it's no surprise that he'll be inactive this Sunday. The 30-year-old linebacker has played almost strictly on special teams for New York thus far, recording three total tackles on the year.

Dolphins' Sam Eguavoen: Sticks with Miami
Eguavoen agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal with the Dolphins on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Eguavoen has appeared in every contest for the Dolphins since joining the squad in 2019. However, he's mostly operated on special teams the last two seasons after recording 42 tackles and 3.5 sacks across 630 defensive snaps during his rookie campaign. The former CFL player should be a regular contributor on special teams and provide depth on defense during the 2022 campaign.

Dolphins' Sam Eguavoen: Will likely start Sunday
Eguavoen will likely draw the start in place of Jerome Baker (knee) during Sunday's matchup against the Bills.
Eguavoen played a season-high 53 snaps after Baker went down with a back injury during Week 7. The 28-year-old will likely see a similar workload against the Bills on Sunday.

Dolphins' Sam Eguavoen: Lands on COVID-19 list
The Dolphins placed Eguavoen on the reserve/COVID list Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Last year, Eguavoen was also placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, but he only spent a few days inactive, which likely means he was just a close contact as opposed to testing positive. It remains to be seen how long his most recent trip will last. The Texas Tech product has appeared in all 16 games in each of his first two NFL seasons. However, his defensive snaps dropped dramatically in year two after he registered 42 tackles, 3.5 sacks and one fumble recovery as a rookie.

Dolphins' Sam Eguavoen: Heads to COVID-19 list
The Dolphins placed Eguavoen (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Eguavoen made his NFL debut with the Dolphins last season, when he made 42 tackles (22 solo), 3.5 sacks and one defended pass across 16 contests. The former CFL standout's placement on the reserve/COVID-19 list indicates that he's either tested positive or been in close contact with someone who has.

Dolphins' Sam Eguavoen: Manages 42 tackles in 2019
Eguavoen had 42 tackles (22 solo), 3.5 sacks and one defended pass across 16 games in 2019.
Eguavoen also recovered one fumble. The 26-year-old had spent his time in the CFL since going undrafted in 2014, but he managed to make his NFL debut in 2019 and carve out a consistent role with the Dolphins. Still, he won't possess much IDP value as long as he's limited to a depth role.
