Kenny Hilliard: Let go by Washington
Hilliard was waived by the Redskins on Tuesday.
Hilliard was signed to a reserve/future contract with the Redskins in January after a three-day stint on the team's 53-man roster. He ultimately returned to the practice squad during the 2017 season. The 26-year-old will hope to garner offseason interest elsewhere in the lead-up to April's draft.

Redskins' Kenny Hilliard: Signs reserve/future contract
Hilliard signed a reserve/future contract with the Redskins on Monday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Hilliard spent three days on the Redskins 53-man roster as injuries decimated the team's running backs, but he was inactive for his lone game with the team. The 26-year-old joined the practice squad shortly thereafter and will have a full spring in the team's offseason program to prepare for training camp.

Kenny Hilliard: Waived by Washington
The Redskins waived Hilliard on Tuesday, according to the league's official transactions log.
Hilliard had been signed to the active roster Saturday after the Redskins placed yet another running back, rookie LeShun Daniels (hand), on injured reserve. With Hilliard no longer in the fold, Washington will move forward with Kapri Bibbs and Dare Ogunbowale as the reserves behind starting tailback Samaje Perine.

Redskins' Kenny Hilliard: Added to active roster
The Redskins signed Hilliard to a contract Saturday, Stephen Czarda of the Redskins' official site reports.
With Samaje Perine dealing with a groin injury and LeShun Daniels (hand) having landed on injured reserve, Hilliard gives the Redskins added depth in the backfield ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Broncos. Even if Perine is sidelined in Week 16, Kapri Bibbs would still be in line to take on the bulk of the backfield work, limiting Hilliard's fantasy prospects.

A late addition to the Washington backfield, Hilliard remains on the very bottom of the totem pole. It seems unlikely that he'll see substantially more work in Sunday's tilt with the Bengals, with the Redskins expected to treat the contest as a dress rehearsal for the regular season. This leaves the 25-year-old on the outside looking in for a roster spot.

Hilliard finished 2016 as a member of the Texans' practice squad but was never elevated to the active roster. Houston has a number of running backs battling for a spot behind Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue this offseason -- including talented rookie D'Onta Foreman -- while it elected to keep Dare Ogunbowale, another first-year back, and Akeem Hunt through this round of cuts.
