  • Ravens' Will Davis: Performing well in camp

Davis' (undisclosed) stock is rising after solid performances in the preseason and training camp, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Davis missed a practice early in August with an undisclosed injury, but he appears fully recovered from whatever kept him out. He's a favorite to land a spot on the back end of the Ravens' secondary depth chart.

  • Ravens' Will Davis: Absent from camp Monday

Davis (undisclosed) did not practice Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Coming off a torn ACL suffered last October, Davis was somewhat-surprisingly not placed on the Ravens' PUP list to begin training camp. Assuming he hasn't re-aggravated the injury, when healthy, Davis should be set to compete for the nickelback role he quickly earned in the Ravens' secondary after being acquired from the Dolphins last September.

  • Ravens' Will Davis: Running at close to full speed

Davis (knee) ran at close to full speed during last weeks OTA, The Baltimore Sun reports.

Traded from Miami to Baltimore in September in exchange for a late-round draft pick, Davis served as the Ravens' nickelback before tearing an ACL for the second time in two years. Given the ever-shaky state of Baltimore's depth chart at cornerback, Davis could compete with the likes of Shareece Wright and Jerraud Powers for the starting job across from Jimmy Smith (foot). Davis will be 11 months removed from suffering the injury when Week 1 rolls around.

  • Ravens' Will Davis: Placed on injured reserve

Ravens cornerback Will Davis (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

Acquired from the Dolphins in exchange for a late-round draft pick just a few weeks ago, Davis quickly emerged as the nickel back for a corner-needy Baltimore defense. The former third-round draft pick initially acquitted himself well, only to suffer a torn ACL Sunday against Cleveland.

  • Ravens' Will Davis: Suffers torn ACL

Davis suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's game against the Browns, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

Davis was acquired via trade from the Dolphins last month and fared relatively well upon arriving with the Ravens, but will now be likely lost for the season given the extent of his knee injury. With Davis sidelined, Baltimore is left to deal with yet another significant injury blow, opening reps for the likes of Kyle Arrington, Tray Walker and Rashaan Melvin in the Ravens' cornerback rotation.
