Darqueze Dennard: Released by San Francisco
The 49ers released Dennard on Monday.
Dennard signed a one-year deal with the 49ers after appearing in the team's divisional-round win over the Packers in January -- his lone contest with the team. However, the veteran defensive back is part of San Francisco's first wave of cuts in 2022. Dennard has had a tough time solidifying a role after seven solid years in Cincinnati to start his career.

49ers' Darqueze Dennard: Lands with San Francisco
Dennard agreed to a one-year contract with the 49ers on Friday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Dennard played on special teams during the 49ers' divisional-round win over the Packers in 2021, and he'll now land a deal with the team ahead of the 2022 campaign. The 30-year-old appeared in three games between the Giants and 49ers last year and totaled four tackles (three solo).

Darqueze Dennard: Signs with Giants' practice squad
The Giants signed Dennard to their practice squad Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
After spending time earlier in the season with the Colts' practice squad, Dennard will now head to New York to fill an emergency reserve option at cornerback. Expect the defensive back to stay with the practice squad barring any injuries to the Giants' starting secondary.

Darqueze Dennard: Checks in with Baltimore
Dennard (undisclosed) had a workout with the Ravens on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Dennard was waived off Arizona's injured reserve in early September but now appears to be healthy. The veteran cornerback was limited to eight games with Atlanta last season due to injury and remains in search of a new team.

Darqueze Dennard: Reaches injury settlement
The Cardinals waived Dennard (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Thursday, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports.
Dennard will now be eligible to sign another contract once he's healthy, but he'll need to wait at least three weeks if he wants to re-sign with the Cardinals. The 2014 first-round pick has played just 17 games over the last two seasons, recording 73 tackles, 10 pass breakups and an interception.

Cardinals' Darqueze Dennard: Done for the season
The Cardinals placed Dennard (undisclosed) on injured reserve Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The transaction's timing brings an end to Dennard's 2021 season, barring an injury settlement. The nature of the veteran cornerback's injury remains undisclosed, but the fact that he's sidelined would seem to thrust rookie Marco Wilson into a larger backup role. Dennard only logged eight appearances in Atlanta last season before suffering a quadriceps injury.

Cardinals' Darqueze Dennard: Signed by Arizona
Dennard signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals on Thursday.
Dennard played in just eight games with the Falcons before missing the remainder of the 2020 season with a quadriceps injury. The 29-year-old will join his second team in as many years after spending his first six campaigns with the Bengals.

Falcons' Darqueze Dennard: Could remain in Atlanta
The Falcons could prioritize retaining Dennard (quadriceps) this offseason, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Dennard was a pillar of Atlanta's secondary when healthy in 2020, but it's fair to say that injury concerns have been consistent for the veteran cornerback recently. He was only able to suit up for eight games with the Falcons in 2020 before a quadriceps injury prematurely ended his year, and he only managed nine appearances with the Bengals the season prior. Factoring in that medical history, Dennard could be motivated to agree to a team-friendly deal with the Falcons this offseason.
