Lions' Cam Johnson: Shown door by Lions
The Lions cut Johnson on Saturday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Johnson last played for the Browns in 2016, making 32 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles over 12 games. That resume shows potential, so he may land elsewhere. If not, expect Johnson to land on a practice squad.

Cam Johnson: Released by Browns
Johnson was released by the Browns on Monday, Andrew Gribble of the Browns' official website reports.
Johnson nursed a knee injury throughout much of camp, which likely led to his inability to make enough of an impression to remain with the team. The defensive end started nine games for the Browns last season, and will now look for a new landing spot.

Browns' Cam Johnson: Returns to practice Monday
Johnson (knee) returned to practice Monday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Johnson has missed the last two weeks trying to get back to 100 percent. Being that he's returned to practice, it's safe to assume that he's healthy again. Whether that means he's at full strength is another matter altogether, but the fact that he's out there is a good sign for Cleveland and enough for us to assume he'll be ready for the season opener.

Browns' Cam Johnson: Sidelined Thursday
Johnson (knee) sat out Thursday's practice, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Johnson has yet to appear in a game this preseason, a trend that will likely continue when the Browns face Tampa Bay on Saturday. The defensive end is coming off a 32-tackle season and is expected to provide depth behind Myles Garrett.

Browns' Cam Johnson: Nursing knee injury
Johnson will sit out Monday's preseason matchup against the Giants due to a knee issue, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Johnson was previously slowed down by a groin injury, but it's his knee that now appears to be bothering him. The 27-year-old is expected to serve as the top backup to No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett this season.

Browns' Cam Johnson: Inactive in first preseason game
Johnson was inactive in last Thursday's preseason loss to New Orleans due to a knee injury, George Thomas of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
It's unclear what the specifics of Johnson's injury are or how long it could impact him. The linebacker is coming off what was by far his best season as a pro, as he totaled a career-high 32 tackles, including his first 3.0 sacks, while playing in 31.5 percent of Cleveland's defensive snaps. He'll look to continue build on that after he returns from injury.
