Drescher was released by the Cardinals on Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Drescher joined the Cardinals in early October to serve as the team's long snapper after Aaron Brewer broke his hand. Brewer is nearing a return from injured reserve, bringing an end to Drescher's time in Arizona.

Cardinals' Justin Drescher: Signs with Cardinals
Drescher signed a contract with the Cardinals on Monday, Josh Katzenstein of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Drescher was waived with an injury settlement by the Saints at the end of August. The 29-year-old will take over at long snapper for the Cardinals after Aaron Brewer suffered a broken hand in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.

Drescher was looking to continue long snapping duties with the Saints, but they opted to trade for veteran Jon Dorenbos from the Eagles instead.
