Janoris Jenkins: Heading to San Francisco
The 49ers signed Jenkins to its practice squad Monday.
Jenkins has yet to play this season after being released by the Titans in March. The 34-year-old cornerback logged 54 tackles, six passes defended and an interception while starting 13 of his 14 games with Tennessee last year. With veterans Jason Verrett (Achilles) and Emmanuel Moseley (knee) both set to miss the remainder of the 2022 campaign while on IR, Jenkins could add depth as a potential game-day elevation with San Francisco's practice squad.

Janoris Jenkins: Time up in Tennessee
Jenkins is being released by the Titans on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Jenkins started in 13 of 14 appearances for the Titans last season, logging 54 tackles (38 solo), six pass breakups, one interception and one forced fumble. Now, after just one season with the team, the 33-year-old cornerback will need to look for a new home elsewhere.

Jenkins doesn't have an injury designation for Saturday's divisional-round matchup against Cincinnati, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Jenkins didn't practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury, but he returned in a full capacity Thursday. As a result, the 33-year-old will be available against the Bengals. He's logged eight tackles (six solo), an interception and two pass defenses across his last three appearances.

The cornerback was unavailable for the Titans' practice Wednesday as he deals with his nagging ankle injury. Jenkins' (ankle) X-rays came back negative, but he does have a sprain that will likely cause him to miss some time, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Jenkins played 90 percent of the Titans' defense snaps and recorded four tackles during their Week 12 loss to the Patriots, but he apparently suffered an ankle sprain that may cause him to miss some time. The good news for the Titans is that they are heading into their Week 13 bye, so Jenkins will have two weeks to rehab in an attempt to avoid a potential first missed absence. A trip to injured reserve isn't expected due to the upcoming bye, but there's no clear timetable for his return.
