Rockets' Tari Eason: Struggles with shot in Game 6
Eason contributed 14 points (5-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals across 37 minutes during Friday's 98-78 loss to the Lakers in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Eason had trouble finding the bottom of the net in Game 6, although, to be fair, it was a common theme for the other members of the starting lineup as well. With Houston eliminated from postseason play, the 24-year-old will now turn his attention toward restricted free agency. Eason averaged 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 blocks and 1.2 steals across 25.8 minutes per game during the 2025-26 campaign over 60 regular-season games. With 139 appearances combined in the last three regular seasons, Eason will need to prove he can stay healthy. While the 2022 No. 17 overall pick should continue to hold a stable role in the rotation with the Rockets, assuming he re-signs, the lack of consistency is something fantasy managers will need to consider moving ahead.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Pops for 18 in Wednesday's win
Eason posted 18 points (6-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 99-93 victory over the Lakers in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Making his third straight start in place of Kevin Durant (ankle), Eason stepped up once again after he delivered 20 points in Game 4. The fourth-year forward is averaging 13.8 points, 7.0 boards, 2.4 steals, 1.6 assists and 1.6 threes in the first round so far, but the Rockets are still holding out hope Durant could return before the end of the series.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Strong overall effort in Game 4 win
Eason supplied 20 points (7-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and five steals over 30 minutes during Sunday's 115-96 victory over the Lakers in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
The 20 points and five steals were both career playoff highs for the fourth-year forward, as he started his second straight game in place of Kevin Durant (ankle). Eason is averaging 12.8 points, 7.5 boards, 3.0 steals, 1.8 assists and 1.5 threes through four contests to begin the postseason, and the Rockets will likely need another strong performance from him in Game 5 on Wednesday back in Los Angeles if they're going to avoid elimination.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Records four steals in loss
Eason posted five points (2-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, two assists and four steals over 46 minutes during Friday's 112-108 overtime loss to the Lakers in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Eason moved back into the starting lineup, playing a whopping 46 minutes. Despite recording four steals, Eason's lack of impact on the offensive end cannot be overlooked. It continues what has been an ongoing struggle for Eason, who has now shot just 6-for-23 in the past two games. Now trailing 3-0 in the series, Houston will need to turn things around in a hurry, starting in Game 4 on Sunday.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Starting Friday
Eason will start Friday's Game 3 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Lakers, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.
With Kevin Durant (ankle) sidelined, Eason and Reed Sheppard will slide back into the starting lineup, while Josh Okogie heads to the bench. As a starter this season (34 games), Eason averaged 10.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals in 28.4 minutes.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Inefficient 10 points in Game 2
Eason posted 10 points (4-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt), eight rebounds, one assist and one block across 27 minutes during Tuesday's 101-94 loss to the Lakers in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
After going a perfect 7-for-7 from the field in Game 1 on Saturday, Eason wasn't nearly as efficient in Game 2. Josh Okogie has started back-to-back games for the Rockets this postseason, so it looks like Houston is content with Eason operating in a reserve capacity for the time being.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Coming off bench
Eason will come off the bench for Saturday's Game 1 against the Lakers, according to Rockets reporter Matt Thomas.
After starting the regular season finale with multiple starters sitting out, Eason is back with the second unit. He may see additional minutes, however, as Kevin Durant (knee) is out for Game 1.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Goes for 20 points in victory
Eason posted 20 points (8-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds and three assists over 24 minutes during Sunday's 132-101 victory over Memphis.
Eason ceded significant time to Jabari Smith over the course of the season, but Eason got the green light for production at the four with the first unit sidelined during the regular-season finale. An eight-game stretch of single-digit scoring totals in March brought an end to his stint with the first unit, but the demotion didn't affect his bottom line. He still logged significant minutes and remained a decent source of rebounding for the squad.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Cleared to play Friday
Eason (illness) is available for Friday's game against Minnesota, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.
Eason was on the injury report heading into this contest. However, the illness he is battling won't be enough to keep him off the floor for the first time since the 109-99 loss to Charlotte on Feb. 5. In Eason's only meeting with the Timberwolves this season, he finished with three points, eight rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Available against Philadelphia
Eason (illness) is listed as available for Thursday's game against Philadelphia.
Eason carried a questionable designation heading into this contest. However, the 24-year-old will avoid his first absence since the 109-99 loss to Charlotte on Feb. 5. Eason nearly had a double-double when the Rockets and 76ers last met back on Jan. 22, finishing with 13 points, nine rebounds, two assists and four steals in 28 minutes.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Not starting Wednesday
Eason won't start in Wednesday's game against Milwaukee, Varun Shankar of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Eason started Tuesday's 111-94 win over the Knicks, finishing with 17 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 FT, 3-6 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. However, he will head back to the bench Wednesday, as Reed Sheppard reclaims his spot in the starting lineup.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Returning to starting five
Eason is starting Tuesday's game against the Knicks, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
Eason will join the first unit Tuesday for his first start since March 18. Head coach Ime Udoka said during his pregame presser that the change from Reed Sheppard to Eason is a matchup-based decision, per Varun Shankar of the Houston Chronicle, and Sheppard is expected to be back in the starting five for the second half of Houston's back-to-back Wednesday against Milwaukee. Eason is averaging 6.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals in his last eight opportunities as a starter.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Shooting woes continue
Eason ended with seven points (2-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and three rebounds across 20 minutes during Saturday's 123-122 victory over Miami.
Eason continues to work through one of the worst shooting slumps in recent memory. In eight games over the past two weeks, he has shot a disastrous 29.7 percent from the field, during which time he has been outside the top 300 in standard leagues. At this point, managers are better off streaming his spot despite the fact that he should figure things out at some point.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Headed to bench
Eason will come off the bench for Friday's game against the Hawks, Vanessa Richardson of Space City Home Network reports.
Eason has been mired in an awful shooting slump of late, so head coach Ime Udoka will bring Reed Sheppard back into the first unit to give the team some more firepower. As a reserve this season, Eason owns averages of 10.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 triples per contest.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Struggles with shot
Eason closed Monday's 100-92 loss to the Lakers with five points (2-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and two steals in 33 minutes.
Eason saw plenty of usage in this contest and had a decent line apart from his woeful shooting. He's in the midst of a difficult stretch for Houston, posting averages of 5.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 26.3 minutes across his last seven appearances.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Modest offensive production
Eason chipped in eight points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and two steals across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 113-99 win over the Raptors.
Eason continues to offer very little on the offensive end of the floor, having now scored single digits in seven of his past eight games. During that time, he has averaged just 6.6 points to go with 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals, leaving him outside the top-150 players in nine-category formats. While he does remain a viable standard league asset, those in the fantasy playoffs may have to part ways with him to open up a streaming spot.
