  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Uncertain for Sunday

Suggs (injury management) is uncertain for Sunday's game against the Celtics, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports. He ended Saturday's 133-121 win over the Knicks with 26 points (8-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 8-9 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 32 minutes. Suggs finished as Orlando's third-leading scorer Saturday, helping propel the Magic to victory in the front end of their back-to-back set. The 24-year-old point guard has yet to play in both halves of a back-to-back this season, so his status for Sunday's contest will be worth monitoring. If he's ultimately given the night off, Anthony Black and Tyus Jones are candidates for increased minutes, while rookie first-rounder Jase Richardson could enter the rotation.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Leads Orlando with 23 points

Suggs logged 23 points (8-15 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and two steals in 26 minutes during Thursday's 129-101 win over the Clippers. Suggs set a new season high in scoring with a stellar showing Thursday evening. He was particularly effective from range just a couple of days after shooting an abysmal 0-for-7 from downtown in Tuesday's win over the Warriors. Suggs also impressed as a distributor, pacing Orlando with seven dimes.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Will play Tuesday

Suggs (groin) will play in Tuesday's game against the Warriors. Suggs will return to the mix after sitting out Sunday's loss to the Rockets due to groin soreness. His presence should push Anthony Black to the bench Tuesday. Suggs has averaged 12.5 points, 4.4 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 22.1 minutes per contest across 10 games this season.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Goes through shootaround

Suggs (groin) participated in Tuesday's morning walkthrough, according to Orlando Magic Daily. Suggs is currently listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Warriors after missing Sunday's loss to Houston. His status will be updated Tuesday evening, so he's essentially going to be a game-time call. Anthony Black is likely to see increased reps in the backcourt if Suggs is unable to play.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Listed questionable for Tuesday

Suggs is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Warriors due to right groin soreness. Suggs is at risk of missing back-to-back outings due to the groin issue. The guard's status could ultimately be determined following Tuesday's pregame warmups. Anthony Black will likely draw the start at point guard if Suggs cannot play, while Tyus Jones would be expected to handle the backup role.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Won't play Sunday

Suggs (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rockets. The 24-year-old point guard was a late addition to the injury report due to right groin soreness, and he will join Paolo Banchero (groin) on the bench. With Suggs sidelined, Anthony Black, Tyus Jones and Jase Richardson are candidates for increased playing time. Suggs' next opportunity to play will come Tuesday against the Warriors.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Tacks on 14 points in win

Suggs provided 14 points (5-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and one block in 28 minutes during Friday's 105-98 victory over Brooklyn. Suggs turned in a decent all-around showing, scoring in double figures for a fifth straight matchup while tying his best mark of the season in assists. While the Magic are likely to lean on Franz Wagner and Desmond Bane to produce while Paolo Banchero (groin) is out, Suggs has also shown he's more than capable at point guard.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Available for Wednesday

Suggs (knee) will be available for Wednesday's game against the Knicks. Suggs missed Monday's game against the Trail Blazers due to left knee injury management for the second leg of the back-to-back set. Before that game, Suggs went off for 20 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and three steals over 29 minutes against the Celtics on Sunday. Fantasy managers can deploy him with confidence against New York as he continues to trend up.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Listed out for Monday

Suggs won't play Monday against the Trail Blazers due to left knee injury management. Monday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, so the Magic will continue to exercise caution with Suggs, who previously sat out one half of both of Orlando's previous two back-to-back sets. Suggs was outstanding during Sunday's loss to Boston, finishing with 20 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and three steals over 29 minutes. Tyus Jones and Anthony Black are likely to see extra minutes in Suggs' absence Monday.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Turns in season-best outing

Suggs accumulated 20 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and three steals over 29 minutes during Sunday's 111-107 loss to the Celtics. Though the Magic came up short Sunday, Suggs delivered his best outing of the season. After being held to 21 minutes or fewer in each of his prior seven appearances this season following his arthroscopic left knee surgery back in March, Suggs' restrictions appeared to be lifted against the Celtics, and he came through with an efficient scoring performance while also making an impact on the defensive end. Though Suggs' playing-time outlook appears to be promising moving forward, the Magic could still take caution with him during back-to-back sets. Suggs previously sat out one game of the Magic's previous two back-to-back sets this season, so it wouldn't be surprising if he was held out for maintenance purposes once again Monday versus the Trail Blazers.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Won't play Thursday

Suggs (rest) won't play Thursday against Charlotte. Suggs played 21 minutes Wednesday against the Pistons with eight points, five assists, two rebounds, one block and two steals. He'll be held out for injury maintenance Thursday for the second leg of this back-to-back set, as the Magic continue to take a cautious approach. With Suggs out, Anthony Black and Tyus Jones could see more reps in the backcourt Thursday.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Off injury report for Monday

Suggs (knee) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Monday's game against the 76ers. Suggs was held out Saturday as a precaution, but that won't lead to a multi-game absence since he carries no injury designation ahead of Monday's contest. The young guard has played fewer than 20 minutes in each of his first two outings this season, so a (strategically) limited workload should still be expected.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Not expected to play Saturday

Suggs will likely miss Saturday's game against the Bulls, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Head coach Jamahl Mosley and his coaching staff are taking the cautious approach with Suggs to start the 2025-26 campaign. The defensive-minded guard likely won't play in the second game of a back-to-back set after playing against the Hawks on Friday.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Iffy for Opening Night

Suggs (knee) is questionable for Opening Night against the Heat on Wednesday, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said Suggs has been able to do 5-on-5 full-contact drills in practice, and Orlando will see how he responds before deciding on his availability. "Today was a good day," Mosley said. "Yesterday was a good day. He's responding well." If Suggs doesn't get the green light to suit up, the Magic will likely rely on Tyus Jones and Anthony Black to pick up the slack.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Trending in right direction

Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said Suggs was "able to do a little bit of contact" during Tuesday's practice, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports. This practice included some three-on-three work, which is a positive step in the right direction. As for Suggs' status for Thursday's preseason finale and Opening Night on Oct. 22, Mosley said the team will monitor how his knee responds to the increased workload.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Continues non-contact work

Suggs (knee) still hasn't been cleared for contact, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Suggs went through a non-contact workout Wednesday, but that doesn't indicate he's taken a significant step forward in his recovery from the left knee surgery he had in March. The Magic are hopeful that the 2021 first-rounder will be ready to roll for Opening Night, though his status very much remains up in the air. It's possible Suggs won't see any preseason action this fall, and Tyus Jones would likely fill the void at point guard if Suggs can't go for the start of the regular season.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Confirmed out for Saturday

Suggs (knee) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against Miami, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports. No surprise here, as Suggs has said he's targeting a return on Opening Night on Oct. 22. At this point, it would be a surprise to see him suit up at all in the preseason, as he's been limited to non-contact work at practice.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Officially out for season

The Magic announced Tuesday that Suggs has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign after undergoing successful arthroscopic surgery to remove a cartilage fragment in his left knee. The procedure also involved a mosaicplasty to repair the trochlear joint surface. After missing 10 consecutive contests due to a back injury, Suggs returned to action Jan. 25 against the Pistons but played only 16 minutes before suffering what was initially described as a quadriceps contusion. In mid-February, Suggs was able to run again and appeared to be ramping up for game action, but he experienced discomfort in his left knee and was shut down after an MRI revealed that the point guard was dealing with a trochlea injury. The trio of Suggs, Paolo Banchero, and Franz Wagner played just six games together in 2024-25, with their poor health being a significant factor in the team's disappointing start to the campaign following a 47-win season. Suggs is expected to make a full recovery ahead of training camp in the fall.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Timetable for return uncertain

Head coach Jamahl Mosley said Wednesday that he has "no update" on Suggs' status, though the Magic haven't provided any indication that the point guard will miss the rest of the season, Mason Williams of SI.com reports. Suggs has missed the last 13 games due to a left quad contusion, and Williams inferred from Mosley's comments that the 23-year-old remains limited to taking part in non-contact portions of practice. Until Suggs is able to resume taking contact, he'll remain without a definitive target date for a return. The defensive-minded guard has played in 35 games this season, averaging career-high numbers in points (16.2), rebounds (4.0), three-pointers (2.2) and steals (1.5) per game.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Listed out again

Suggs (quadriceps) is listed as out for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers. Suggs will be sidelined for a 13th straight game and remains without a timetable for a return. He should be considered questionable at best for Thursday's game against Golden State.
