Juzang racked up 20 points (6-9 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one block across 14 minutes during Tuesday's 135-134 overtime preseason loss to the Pacers. • Timberwolves' Johnny Juzang: Provides spark off bench in win

Juzang logged 16 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and one steal over 20 minutes during Saturday's 126-116 preseason win over Denver. Juzang saw extended playing time in Saturday's exhibition contest and finished second behind Bones Hyland (18) in points. Juzang spent the first three years of his NBA career with the Jazz before signing a one-year deal with the Timberwolves in early August. He appeared in 64 regular-season games (18 starts) for Utah during the 2024-25 campaign and averaged 19.8 minutes per game, though he's facing stiff competition for playing time from Donte DiVincenzo and Terrence Shannon.

Rotation minutes won't come as easy in Minnesota, however.

  • Johnny Juzang: Heading into free agency

The Jazz waived Juzang on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Juzang played a fairy significant role for the injury-riddled Jazz last year, averaging 8.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.8 three-pointers in 19.8 minutes per contest over 64 games. The 24-year-old also shot 37.6 percent from downtown in 2024-25, so he should be able to draw some interest in free agency this summer from teams in need of three-point scoring off the bench.

Juzang is questionable for Thursday's game against the Timberwolves. Juzang is working his way back from a right hand fracture, and the questionable tag suggests the third-year veteran will be a game-time call for this matchup. He hasn't played since Jan. 9 due to the injury.

Juzang (hand) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Nets. • Jazz's Johnny Juzang: Productive off bench Friday

Juzang produced 22 points (8-14 FG, 6-11 3Pt) and two rebounds in 26 minutes during Friday's 141-99 win over Portland. The Jazz secured one of their biggest wins in recent memory, and the nature of the contest allowed some of the bench players to get extra minutes in the second half. Juzang, a former UCLA standout, recorded his best scoring output of the campaign and also extended his streak of games with double-digit points to three contests. While the third-year guard is having his most productive stretch of the season, his fantasy value shouldn't be very high, as he's strictly a bench option who rarely logs more than 20 minutes of court time.
