Thunder's Jared McCain: Provides spark off bench in Game 7
Rotowire
McCain accumulated 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt), one rebound and one steal in 23 minutes during Saturday's 111-103 loss to the Spurs in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals.
With Cason Wallace stepping into the starting five for Saturday's do-or-die matchup, McCain came off the bench after making two consecutive starts. The 22-year-old guard didn't deliver his most efficient performance, though he still tied the bench high in points and scored in double figures for a third straight game. The Duke product was traded from Philadelphia to Oklahoma City in February after an injury-plagued start to his career that included surgery to repair a torn meniscus in December 2024 and thumb surgery last September. He appeared in 30 regular-season outings (two starts) for the Thunder, averaging 10.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.8 triples and 0.9 assists while shooting 39.1 percent from downtown in 17.9 minutes per contest during that span. He figures to maintain a meaningful bench role for the Thunder in 2026-27.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Remains productive despite loss
Rotowire
McCain ended with 13 points (4-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, six assists and two steals across 27 minutes during Thursday's 118-91 loss to San Antonio in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals.
McCain scored in double figures for the fourth time in the past five games, continuing to play a substantial role in the absence of Ajay Mitchell (calf). McCain has now started back-to-back games, averaging 16.5 points and 2.5 three-pointers in those outings. Thursday's loss leaves the series tied at 3-3, with Game 7 tabled for Saturday. If Mitchell is once again ruled out, expect to see McCain in an elevated role.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Hits for 20 in Game 5 start
Rotowire
McCain closed Tuesday's 127-114 victory over the Spurs in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals with 20 points (7-19 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-5 FT) and three rebounds over 33 minutes.
Making his first start since the first game of the first round against the Suns on April 12, McCain provided strong secondary scoring for the Thunder. The second-year guard has played at least 24 minutes in four straight games, taking advantage of the absence of Jalen Williams (hamstring). Over that stretch, McCain is averaging 15.0 points, 3.8 boards, 2.0 threes and 1.0 assists, although he's shooting just 34.4 percent from the floor. Williams still lacks a clear return timeline, so McCain could see an elevated role again in Game 6 on Thursday.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Entering starting lineup Tuesday
Rotowire
McCain will start Tuesday's Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against San Antonio, Josue Pavon of ClutchPoints.com reports.
With Jalen Williams (hamstring) and Ajay Mitchell (calf) out, head coach Mark Daigneault will shake things up and slide McCain into the starting five for the first time this postseason. The guard replaces Cason Wallace in the backcourt, giving Oklahoma City an additional scoring threat and floor spacer alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. McCain is coming off a quiet four-point outing in Game 4, but he showed his explosive upside with a 24-point performance in Game 3 and should see plenty of volume in a pivotal home matchup.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Goes missing in Game 4 loss
Rotowire
McCain totaled four points (1-10 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds over 24 minutes during Sunday's 103-82 loss to San Antonio in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.
McCain was unable to repeat his heroics from Game 3, tallying just four points, the fewest he has scored in his past five appearances. Oklahoma City continues to deal with injuries, affording McCain a larger-than-expected role. In his last five games, McCain has averaged 12.0 points and 1.8 three-pointers, including a 24-point effort in Game 3.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Drops playoff-high 24 points
Rotowire
McCain ended with 24 points (10-21 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 27 minutes during Friday's 123-108 victory over the Spurs in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.
McCain was fantastic in the win, scoring at least 20 points for the first time in the postseason. His role continues to grow, as he's logged at least 26 minutes in two straight games while providing the Thunder with an additional scoring threat off the bench. Over his past three appearances, McCain has averaged 14.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 three-pointers.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Fares well off bench
Rotowire
McCain had 12 points (4-14 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 122-113 win over San Antonio in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
While it wasn't the best night for McCain shooting the ball, he saw his largest workload of the postseason. If Jalen Williams (hamstring) is unable to play in Game 3, McCain could again be called upon to play a larger role on the wings.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Strong line off bench
Rotowire
McCain recorded 12 points (4-7 FG, 4-5 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists across 15 minutes during Tuesday's 108-90 victory over the Lakers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
McCain made a strong impression off the bench, leading the second unit in scoring. Luguentz Dort has been underwhelming offensively for the Thunder, so McCain could potentially chip away at the veteran's workload if he keeps this up.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Leads OKC off bench
Rotowire
McCain posted 26 points (9-16 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 28 minutes during the Thunder's 121-92 win over the Nets on Wednesday.
The Thunder led by as much as 42 points during Wednesday's blowout win, which resulted in McCain and the rest of the reserves seeing more time in the second half. The second-year pro took advantage of the extra court time, scoring a season-high 26 points, which was his highest scoring output since Nov. 22, 2024 as a member of the 76ers, when he scored 30 points (also against the Nets). McCain has been a steady presence off the bench for the Thunder since he was acquired from the 76ers in early February. He'll have opportunities to serve in an expanded role in games for which Oklahoma City is down players, as was the case Wednesday with Luguentz Dort (rest) and Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) both unavailable.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Hits for team-high 20 in win
Rotowire
McCain chipped in 20 points (8-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and two steals over 25 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 116-108 victory over the Bulls.
With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) back in street clothes, McCain stepped up to lead the Thunder in scoring on the night. It's the third time in the last seven games the second-year guard had produced 20-plus points, a stretch in which he's averaging 14.4 points, 2.9 boards, 2.3 threes, 0.9 assists and 0.9 steals in 20.7 minutes from the second unit.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Nets 20 points with four treys
Rotowire
McCain finished with 20 points (6-16 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 124-116 loss to the Pistons.
McCain got off to a slow start Wednesday, going scoreless through the first half of action while missing all four of his shot attempts. However, he completely flipped the script after halftime and finished with a decent stat line. If Isaiah Joe (glute) needs to miss Friday's game against the Nuggets, McCain could see an uptick in minutes and an expanded role on offense.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Plays well off bench
Rotowire
McCain had 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and two steals over 22 minutes during Wednesday's 136-109 win over the Suns.
This was McCain's best performance since joining the Thunder, giving him a confidence boost ahead of Oklahoma City's final game before the All-Star break. The Thunder could look a lot healthier after the break, and it will be interesting to see how the rotation shapes up.

Thunder's Jared McCain: Heading to OKC
Rotowire
The 76ers traded McCain to the Thunder on Wednesday in exchange for a 2026 Rockets first-round pick and three second-round picks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
McCain will get a fresh start following an injury-riddled beginning to his career. The 21-year-old guard got out of the gates hot during his rookie season before undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee in December 2024. The Duke product later underwent thumb surgery in September 2025 and missed time to begin the 2025-26 campaign. Once healthy, he struggled to carve out a consistent role behind Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe. Now, McCain will provide backcourt depth for Oklahoma City, competing for minutes with the likes of Cason Wallace, Ajay Mitchell and Nikola Topic (groin) once he returns. However, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) is set to be re-evaluated after the All-Star break, so McCain could see increased playing time right away.

76ers' Jared McCain: Drains four treys in win
Rotowire
McCain logged 12 points (4-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 17 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 124-114 victory over New Orleans.
It was another impressive shooting effort from downtown for McCain. 76ers' Jared McCain: Paces second unit in win
Rotowire
McCain produced 17 points (6-8 FG, 5-6 3Pt), three assists and one rebound over 24 minutes during Tuesday's 139-122 victory over the Bucks.
McCain made his second appearance following a five-game span in which he logged just one minute, and he impressed in the second half of this back-to-back set. After scoring 16 points in Monday's loss to Charlotte, the second-year guard chipped in 17 points Tuesday, leading the bench in scoring. He set a new season-high mark in triples and has knocked down at least four in back-to-back outings. While he isn't guaranteed significant playing time on a nightly basis, performances like these bode well for him moving forward.

76ers' Jared McCain: Recalled to NBA
Rotowire
Philadelphia recalled McCain from the G League's Delaware Blue Coats on Friday.
McCain is back with the parent team despite having been assigned earlier Friday. However, the young guard hasn't played a big role in Philadelphia's rotation over the last month and is likely to be on the bench for the next few matchups. He has made only one NBA start over the 2025-26 season and is averaging 6.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.7 steals per contest.

76ers' Jared McCain: Returns after rough G League outing
Rotowire
The 76ers recalled McCain from the G League's Delaware Blue Coats on Monday.
McCain will suit up for the 76ers in Monday's game against the Pacers, but after falling out of the rotation in the team's most recent game Friday against the Cavaliers, he may not be in line for playing time unless Paul George (knee) -- who is listed as questionable -- ends up sitting out the front end of a back-to-back set. The second-year guard didn't make a compelling case for rejoining the NBA rotation after a rough showing in the G League on Sunday. During Delaware's 126-102 loss to the Noblesville Boom, McCain was held to 15 points (5-18 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and posted a 0:6 assist-to-turnover ratio in his 30 minutes of court time.

76ers' Jared McCain: Sees just 11 minutes
Rotowire
McCain finished Wednesday's 131-110 victory over Washington with two points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in 11 minutes.
The 76ers had their entire roster available Wednesday, and the return of Kelly Oubre is likely to spell trouble for McCain. McCain is averaging just 15.1 minutes over his last four contests, and he can be safely monitored from the waiver wire for the time being.
