  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Starting Friday

Missi is in the starting lineup for Friday's matchup with the Raptors, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Missi will replace DeAndre Jordan in the starting lineup, and it'll be Jeremiah Fears, Herbert Jones, Saddiq Bey and Zion Williamson joining him in the first unit for Friday's game. Across 10 starts this season, Missi has posted averages of 6.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.8 swats per contest.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Comes down with team-high 10 boards

Missi finished with six points (3-7 FG), 10 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal in 24 minutes during Saturday's 111-106 loss to the Cavaliers. Despite coming off the bench, Missi paced the Pelicans in boards Saturday. The second-year center has hauled in double-digit rebounds in four of his last six games, during which Missi has averaged 6.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 blocks in 23.8 minutes per tilt while shooting 53.6 percent from the floor.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Heading back to bench

Missi won't start Saturday versus Cleveland. Missi started in two of the Pels' previous three contests, most recently amassing an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double in Thursday's win over the Los Angeles Clippers. However, with Dejounte Murray (Achilles) back in the equation, Missi will move to a reserve role versus a Cavs team that is still without Jarrett Allen (knee).

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Records double-double in win

Missi posted 11 points (5-5 FG, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and one block in 27 minutes during Thursday's 105-99 victory over the Clippers. Missi got the start Thursday due to the absence of Dejounte Murray (Achilles) during the second leg of this back-to-back set. He made the most of his minutes with his first double-double since Jan. 25. Missi has been relegated to a secondary role in the rotation. As a backup center who rarely sees over 25 minutes per game, his fantasy potential is limited, but he's been a strong source of blocks lately. He's averaging 5.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.3 assists on 18.5 minutes per game in 11 outings (three starts) since the All-Star break.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Starting Thursday

Missi will start Thursday's game against the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. With Dejounte Murray (Achilles) sitting out the second half of this back-to-back set, Missi will rejoin the first unit. As a starter this season (nine games), the big man has averaged 5.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 blocks in 22.6 minutes per contest.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Not starting Wednesday

Missi won't start Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Law Murray of The Athletic reports. With Dejounte Murray (illness) back in the lineup, Missi will slide to the second unit. The big man has averaged 3.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 16.2 minutes per contest over his last five outings off the bench.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Grabs 10 boards, blocks five shots

Missi recorded four points (1-4 FG, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and five blocks across 28 minutes during Monday's 129-111 victory over the Mavericks. Missi moved into the starting lineup, with Dejounte Murray ruled out due to illness. Rather than replace Murray, the coaching staff decided to shuffle the rotation, allowing Missi to slide into the starting center role. Rewarding anyone who took a chance on him, Missi turned in a solid performance, including a season-high five blocks. While Missi is a name to monitor, recent games would suggest that he is nothing more than a streaming consideration on most nights.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Contributes defensively Wednesday

Missi posted six points (3-6 FG), 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 19 minutes during Wednesday's 122-111 victory over the Raptors. Missi hasn't scored in double digits since Jan. 25 against the Kings, but the second-year center contributed on the defensive side of the floor with two blocked shots. Wednesday was his 23rd multi-block game of the season, three of which have come over his last four outings. Since returning from a seven-game absence in February due to a strained left calf, Missi has averaged 5.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks over 14.9 minutes per game.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Back to bench Friday

Missi is not in the Pelicans' starting lineup against the Suns on Friday. Missi was in the Pelicans' starting five for Thursday's 133-123 win over the Kings, when he finished with seven points, two rebounds, one assist, four blocks and two steals over 16 minutes. He'll revert to a bench role for Friday's contest while the Pelicans roll with a starting five of Dejounte Murray, Trey Murphy, Herbert Jones, Saddiq Bey and Zion Williamson.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Running with starters

Missi is starting Thursday's game against the Kings. Missi will make his first start since Jan. 2 as he'll rotate into the first unit with Dejounte Murray (rest) sidelined Thursday. Missi is averaging 5.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in three games since returning from a left calf strain.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Logs 12 minutes in return

Missi (calf) produced five points (2-3 FG, 1-3 FT), three rebounds, three blocks and one assist across 12 minutes during Saturday's 115-105 win over the Jazz. Missi returned from a five-game absence due to a left calf strain and handled a small role off the bench. Though DeAndre Jordan made a fourth straight start at center, he could eventually drop out of the rotation and open up a spot on the top unit for Missi. Even if that materializes, Missi would still likely need to move into a consistent 20-plus-minute role before he re-emerges as a viable streaming option for rebounds and blocks.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Out again Thursday

Missi (calf) will remain out for Thursday's game in Utah. Thursday will mark Missi's fifth consecutive game on the sidelines, and it's not a great sign that he continues to get ruled out a full day in advance of tipoff. For now, he should be considered highly questionable for Saturday's rematch with the Jazz.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Remains out Saturday

Missi (calf) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the 76ers. Missi will miss his third consecutive contest due to a left calf strain, and his next chance to play will come Tuesday against the Warriors. Karlo Matkovic will likely see a bump in playing time due to Missi being sidelined.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Out with calf strain

Missi is out for Friday's game against the Bucks due to a strained left calf. Missi was sidelined for New Orleans' final outing before the All-Star break with left calf soreness, which has since been downgraded to a strain. Saturday's matchup versus the 76ers marks the second-year big man's next opportunity to play. Karlo Matkovic and Kevon Looney should make up a timeshare for the backup center minutes behind Derik Queen on Friday.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Only 15 minutes in win

Missi logged two points (1-2 FG), four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 15 minutes during Friday's 119-115 victory over the Timberwolves. Missi's playing time continues to fluctuate, with him having played anywhere from 11 minutes to 31 minutes just in the past three games alone. His opportunities appear to be linked to the play of Derik Queen. If and when Queen is having a positive impact, Missi typically sees backup-level minutes. If Queen is struggling, Missi shifts into a larger role. For now, he should be viewed as nothing more than a streaming consideration for anyone needing rebounds and blocks.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Four rejections in Philly

Missi notched seven points (3-8 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and four blocks in 28 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 124-114 loss to Philadelphia. The second-year center tied his season high in blocks, a mark he's reached twice in the last three games. Missi still isn't much of a contributor on offense, but over the last 12 games he's averaging 2.0 blocks along with 6.7 points, 7.3 boards and 1.6 assists in 22.8 minutes from the second unit.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Double-double against Brooklyn

Missi finished with 12 points (6-13 FG), 12 rebounds, four assists and one block in 34 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 116-113 win over the Nets. The double-double was his second of the season, with the other coming Nov. 24 against the Bulls. Missi hadn't scored in double digits since then and hadn't pulled down double-digit boards since Nov. 29, and Wednesday marked just the second time in eight January games that the second-year center had played more than 21 minutes. Without a more consistent role in the Pelicans' frontcourt, Missi's only real fantasy appeal comes from his rim protection -- through eight contests this month, he's averaging 6.8 points, 6.4 boards, 1.6 assists and 1.4 blocks in 20.3 minutes.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Limited producion again

Missi produced three points (1-5 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and one block across 13 minutes during Friday's 128-107 win over Washington. Missi continues to deliver modest production, despite playing as the primary backup behind Derik Queen. While this is only his second season in the league, it appears as though Missi will struggle to be anything more than a backup at best. In 32 games this season, he is averaging just 5.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 17.7 minutes per contest.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Ruled out for Thursday

Missi (foot, ankle) won't play in Thursday's game against Minnesota. The 2024 first-rounder also had to sit out Tuesday's meeting with the Timberwolves with right foot and ankle soreness. His absence locks Derik Queen into big minutes Thursday, while Kevon Looney should sprinkle in as the backup center.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: First double-double in win

Missi finished with 14 points (7-11 FG), 14 rebounds and three blocks across 29 minutes during Monday's 143-130 victory over the Bulls. It's a standout performance from Missi, who turned in his first double-double in 2025-26 and started the second half over rookie first-rounder Derik Queen. The expectation during the preseason was that Missi would be the Pelicans' top center this year, and he at least appears to be working toward claiming back that mantle. Missi has averaged 6.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 blocks in 20.7 minutes over his last six outings.
