  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Recalled to Grizzlies

The Grizzlies recalled Jackson from the G League's Memphis Hustle on Monday. Jackson is likely going to split time between the Hustle and the Grizzlies this season, as he does not have a consistent role within the rotation. He has appeared in only five NBA games this season, averaging 2.4 points, 0.6 rebounds, 0.2 assists and 0.2 steals through just 5.6 minutes. Jackson posted a team-high 22 points during the Hustle's 125-111 loss to Austin on Sunday, adding nine rebounds, two assists and a block.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Recalled to NBA

The Grizzlies recalled Jackson from the G League's Memphis Hustle on Saturday. Jackson was assigned to the G League on Friday and posted 15 points (6-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block in the Hustle's win over the Capitanes on Saturday before being recalled to the Grizzlies. The forward has struggled to find minutes at the NBA level, appearing in four regular-season games and averaging 1.3 points in 5.0 minutes per contest.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Assigned to G League

The Grizzlies assigned Jackson to the G League's Memphis Hustle on Friday. The Grizzlies intend to recall Jackson following the Hustle's practice session. That said, the forward remains in play to rejoin the parent team prior to Friday's tilt against Dallas.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Back with parent club

Jackson, who was recalled from the G League's Memphis Hustle on Wednesday, finished with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) in two minutes during the Grizzlies' 124-109 loss to the Rockets on Wednesday. Jackson didn't see meaningful minutes in his return to the parent club, but it's notable that he's back with the Grizzlies. The forward figures to bounce back and forth from the G League and the NBA as needed throughout the campaign, and Jackson appears to be buried behind Cedric Coward and Vince Williams on the Grizzlies' depth chart.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Assigned to G League

Jackson was assigned to the G League's Memphis Hustle on Monday. Jackson has been unable to crack Memphis' rotation, so it's not a surprise that he's getting some extra reps with the Hustle. He's expected to be recalled after Monday's practice.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Ruled out Friday

Jackson (illness) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Lakers. Jackson is under the weather and will miss Friday's contest. However, he's appeared in just two games this season, so his absence shouldn't cause any significant waves in the rotation.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: All-around impact in SL loss

Jackson (illness) finished with 13 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and two blocks across 26 minutes in Tuesday's 96-84 Summer League loss to the Warriors. Jackson missed Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers due to an illness but returned Tuesday with a well-rounded performance, though he struggled from beyond the arc. Last season, Jackson appeared in 29 regular-season games (three starts) for the Grizzlies, averaging 7.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 15.8 minutes per contest.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Plays well against Thunder

Jackson finished with 20 points (8-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and three rebounds in 28 minutes of Saturday's 92-80 Summer League win over the Thunder. The 2023 second-rounder missed the first three months of the 2024-25 season while recovering from a procedure to repair a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot, so it's not a surprise that he wants to hit the ground running by participating in Summer League. Jackson appeared in just 29 regular-season games for the Grizzlies during his second NBA season, averaging 7.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists over 15.8 minutes per game. There is a lot more opportunity in Memphis this year, however, as the team traded away Desmond Bane. Jackson is someone fantasy managers may want to monitor closely.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Out for personal reasons

Jackson (personal) has been ruled out for Game 1 against the Thunder on Sunday. Jackson will be away from the team while attending to a personal matter, and his next chance to play will be Game 2 on Tuesday. Jackson averaged 15.8 minutes per game during the regular season. Still, he played only two minutes across the Grizzlies' two games in the Play-In Tournament, so his absence won't impact Memphis' rotation all that much.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Will start Sunday

Jackson is in the Grizzlies' starting lineup against the Mavericks on Sunday, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports. Jackson will make his third start of the season with most of the Grizzlies' rotational players sitting for Sunday's regular-season finale. Jackson is averaging 7.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.9 assists over 15.1 minutes per game this season.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Sent to G League

The Grizzlies assigned Jackson to the G League's Memphis Hustle on Monday. After playing 26 minutes in a starting role March 10 against the Suns, Jackson has seen his playing time drop in each of the Grizzlies' ensuing three games. The second-year forward logged just eight minutes in Saturday's blowout win over the Heat, and his assignment to the G League likely signals that he would have been at risk of falling out of the rotation had he stuck around with the Grizzlies for Monday's contest in Sacramento. Jackson will presumably stick around with the Hustle through their contest Wednesday versus the Valley Suns, though it's uncertain how much longer beyond that he'll stay in the G League.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Starting Monday

Jackson has been elevated to the starting lineup for Monday's contest against Phoenix. Jackson is starting in place of Jaren Jackson, who is dealing with an ankle injury. On the season, Jackson is averaging 7.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.2 blocks over 16.3 minutes.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Questionable to face New York

Jackson is questionable for Friday's game against the Knicks due to left corneal inflammation. A decision on Jackson's availability will be made closer to Friday's 8 p.m. ET tipoff, although he shouldn't affect many fantasy decisions. The second-year forward has been limited to just 16 appearances this season, averaging 8.7 points and 3.2 rebounds across 16.3 minutes per contest.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Solid total from bench in loss

Jackson ended with 15 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 128-114 loss to the Clippers. Jackson came in handy off the bench with Ja Morant taking a seat in the back-to-back. While Scotty Pippen and Luke Kennard have been Morant's direct replacements in recent weeks, the South Carolina product rotated in for some backcourt work as Desmond Bane's backup during the loss. Although Jackson pops for big numbers on occasion, he's not consistent enough to warrant serious fantasy consideration.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Sees 17 minutes off bench

Jackson supplied eight points (2-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal over 17 minutes during Monday's 143-106 loss to the Knicks. Jackson is still finding his stride after a lengthy stint on the sidelines. Memphis' rotation isn't exactly easy to break through with coach Taylor Jenkins utilizing so many players on any given night, making Jackson just a player to monitor in deeper formats for now. In his opening five games, he's shooting 35.9 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from beyond the arc, so he's likely to have some positive regression with his shot soon.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Debuts in G League

Jackson (foot) played 27 minutes Wednesday in the G League Memphis Hustle's 132-128 overtime loss to the Rip City Remix, finishing with 18 points (5-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block. Jackson took the court for the first time during the 2024-25 campaign, after he had been sidelined for nearly three months to begin the season while completing his recovery from the surgery he underwent Sept. 4 to repair his fractured foot. Though he saw a sizable minutes load in his first game action since the Las Vegas Summer League, Jackson could stick around in the G League to make a few more appearances before rejoining the Grizzlies. The second-year forward averaged 14.6 points in 25.7 minutes per game over his 48 appearances for the Grizzlies as a rookie. Still, with the team in much better health this season than last, Jackson may be in store for only a minor role in the rotation once he rejoins the parent club.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Not playing Monday

Jackson (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Rockets. Jackson has been progressing in his recovery from procedure he underwent in September to repair a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot, but he's not quite ready to make his 2024-25 regular-season debut. His next opportunity to do so will be Wednesday against the Spurs.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Recalled to NBA

The Grizzlies recalled Jackson from the G League's Memphis Hustle on Tuesday. Jackson practiced with the Hustle for the next stage of his rehab and continues to trend in the right direction. Jackson underwent surgery to repair a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot suffered during the offseason, but he's expected to return at some point in January.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Assigned to G League

The Grizzlies assigned Jackson (foot) to the G League's Memphis Hustle on Tuesday. Jackson will join the Hustle for their practice on Tuesday in what is the next step in his rehab. He'll be recalled after the practice and appears to be on track to return at some point in January for the Grizzlies.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Out at least three months

Jackson underwent a successful procedure to repair a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot Wednesday and will be evaluated in approximately three months. Jackson will miss at least the first month of the season while rehabbing from the procedure but is expected to make a full recovery. However, when healthy, his role remains unclear. As a rookie, the second-round pick carved out a substantial role for the injury-riddled Grizzlies. Over his final 18 regular-season appearances, Jackson averaged 20.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 34.1 minutes per game. With Ja Morant (shoulder), Marcus Smart (finger) and Desmond Bane (back) returning to full strength this offseason, Jackson will have a difficult time repeating those numbers in Year 2.
