  • Pelicans' Jordan Poole: Drops 30 off bench Friday

Poole supplied 30 points (9-15 FG, 7-13 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one block in 33 minutes off the bench during Friday's 126-124 loss to the Clippers. Making his second straight appearance off the bench, Poole erupted for his first 30-point performance of the season as he led the Pelicans in scoring. The seven threes equaled his total from the prior three games combined, and through five contests to begin his tenure with New Orleans, Poole is averaging 19.8 points, 3.4 threes, 3.0 assists and 1.8 boards in 32.2 minutes.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Poole: Bench role Wednesday

Poole will come off the bench during Wednesday's game against the Nuggets. After starting the first three games of the season, Poole will be in the second unit. The Pelicans will go with Jeremiah Fears, Trey Murphy, Herbert Jones, Zion Williamson and DeAndre Jordan in the first five.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Poole: Drops 21 in OT loss

Poole logged 21 points (8-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one block across 41 minutes during Friday's 120-116 overtime loss to the Spurs. Despite shooting below 50 percent from the field, Poole's performance was in line with what fantasy managers would expect. He crossed the 20-point threshold for the first time with the Pelicans during the overtime loss. Poole will try to help guide his new team to its first win of the season in the next game against the Celtics on Monday.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Poole: Contributes 17 points in team debut

Poole registered 17 points (6-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two assists across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 128-122 loss to the Grizzlies. While it appears to be a somewhat disappointing stat line from a fantasy standpoint, Poole was at least effective as a scorer in his Pelicans debut. The star guard isn't exactly known for his defense, or for stuffing the stat sheet on a nightly basis, but Poole does have an opportunity for extra playmaking duties until Dejounte Murray (Achilles) is ready to make his season debut.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Poole: Scores 21 points on 15 shots

Poole recorded 21 points (7-15 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two assists and one steal over 25 minutes during Thursday's 132-125 preseason loss to Orlando. Poole has been aggressive on offense for the Pelicans throughout the preseason and will likely be the Opening Night starting point guard, as Dejounte Murray (Achilles) will miss at least a few months while rehabbing. Poole made 3.5 three-pointers per game while shooting 37.8 percent with Washington last year, both career-high marks.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Poole: Dishes out four assists Saturday

Poole chipped in 15 points (3-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 8-8 FT), four assists and two rebounds across 18 minutes in Saturday's 127-92 exhibition game win over the Melbourne Phoenix. Poole finished as the Pelicans' second-leading scorer while dishing out a team-high-tying four assists. However, the 26-year-old guard struggled from three-point range for a second consecutive preseason game, a span in which he's shot 2-for-11 from downtown. Poole is coming off a productive 2024-25 campaign with the Wizards where he averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals while shooting 37.8 percent from beyond the arc across 29.4 minutes per game in 68 regular-season outings.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Poole: Scores 11 points in win

Poole finished with 11 points (3-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one block across 20 minutes of Friday's 107-97 preseason win over Melbourne United. From a usage rate perspective, there were no real surprises. Trey Murphy operated as the No. 1 option on offense, while Poole and Zion Williamson handled most of the playmaking with plenty of offensive looks as well. With Dejounte Murray's (Achilles) start to the season expected to be delayed until January at the earliest, Poole could see a ton of usage and reps early on.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Poole: Traded to New Orleans

The Wizards traded Poole (elbow), Saddiq Bey (knee) and the No. 40 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft on Tuesday to the Pelicans in exchange for CJ McCollum (foot), Kelly Olynyk (heel) and a future second-round pick, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. After two seasons in Washington, Poole will join his third NBA team. He made 68 regular-season appearances in 2024-25, averaging 20.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 3.5 three-pointers in 29.4 minutes. Poole shot 37.8 percent from deep on 9.1 attempts per game, both career-high marks. With the move, the Pelicans roster becomes younger but adds cap space, with Poole set to make $32 million in 2025-26 and $34 million in 2026-27. Poole missed the end of last season due to a right elbow contusion but is expected to be healthy during offseason workouts.

  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Missing regular-season finale

Poole (elbow) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Heat. A right elbow contusion will prevent Poole from playing in Sunday's regular-season finale. The 2019 first-round pick will finish the 2024-25 regular season averaging a career-best 20.5 points per game while shooing 37.8 percent from three-point range. Poole has two years remaining on his four-year, $128 million contract he signed with the Warriors in October of 2023.

  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Will not play Wednesday

Poole will not play Wednesday against the 76ers due to a right elbow contusion. Wednesday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, and the Wizards will be taking a cautious approach here. Poole's workloads have been lightened lately, with the guard averaging 20.0 points, 4.0 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 3.4 three-pointers in 23.7 minutes over his last seven outings.

  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Scores 19 points Tuesday

Poole ended with 19 points (7-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and three assists in 19 minutes during Tuesday's 104-98 loss to the Pacers. Poole aims to end the season on a strong note, and the veteran guard has now reached the 19-point plateau in three of his last four contests -- a span in which he's shooting an impressive 52.5 percent from the floor and 38.9 percent from deep. Even though the Wizards are in tank mode, Poole is expected to remain available for the final games of the regular season.

  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Good to go against Boston

Poole (elbow) isn't on the injury report for Sunday's game versus the Wizards. Poole will return to action Sunday after missing Washington's previous contest due to right elbow injury management. Poole should reclaim his starting spot from Marcus Smart against Boston.

  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Won't play Thursday

Poole has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Magic due to right elbow contusion injury management. Poole will miss his first game for the Wizards since March 5, with his absence seemingly being more of a rest day in the second leg of a back-to-back set. He's one of seven players that the Wizards have already ruled out for Thursday, leaving plenty of minutes up for grabs. Bub Carrington and AJ Johnson are likely to serve as the Wizards' primary playmakers out of the backcourt.

  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Erupts for 35 points in loss

Poole finished Monday's 120-94 loss to Miami with 35 points (10-17 FG, 7-13 3Pt, 8-9 FT), three rebounds, four assists and two steals in 29 minutes. Poole put together his best scoring performance since Feb. 12 against the Pacers, when he dropped 42 points in 41 minutes of play, but it wasn't enough to keep the matchup remotely close. Still, this was a positive sign for the Michigan product, who was held to 12 points in his last appearance Saturday against the Nets and has generally been quiet of late, averaging 16.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in his last three games prior to Monday's showing.

  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Scores 18 in blowout loss

Poole supplied 18 points (6-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three assists and two steals in 24 minutes during Thursday's 162-109 loss to the Pacers. Poole was one of the few standout performers for the Wizards in this win, although it's hard to single anyone out following a 53-point defeat. At least Poole managed to extend his solid stretch of play in recent games, and he's now scored at least 18 points in five straight outings following a couple of subpar showings following the All-Star break. Poole should remain one of the Wizards' go-to options on offense every time he's on the court.

  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Bounces back with 25-point effort

Poole produced 25 points (9-17 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes during Saturday's 122-103 loss to New York. Poole snapped a seven-game stretch in which he couldn't reach the 20-point mark and did it with an efficient performance, but his solid scoring output wasn't enough to lift the Wizards past the Knicks. Fantasy managers are certainly expecting better numbers from Poole, who's averaging only 17.8 points per game since the All-Star break compared to 21.2 points per contest in the first half of the campaign.

  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Scores 18 points in loss

Poole chipped in 18 points (7-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Friday's 120-105 loss to Orlando. Poole didn't do much outside of scoring, and the veteran guard isn't bringing much to the table for a reeling Wizards team already thinking about the 2025-26 season. Poole's struggles have been noticeable in recent games, too. He's gone seven straight games without reaching the 20-point plateau, and he's shooting just 40.7 percent from the floor, and 34.5 percent from three-point range, over that stretch.

  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Limited in miserable shooting night

Poole (elbow) finished with two points (1-11 FG, 0-9 3Pt), two rebounds and five assists in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 128-112 loss to the Jazz. Poole played through an elbow injury Wednesday, but it's fair to wonder if he was hampered at all during a miserable shooting night. The combo guard has now failed to hit double figures in scoring in consecutive outings, and it appears the rebuilding Wizards are beginning to manage his workload significantly. Poole was limited to 11 minutes in Monday's game against Portland, so his playing time will be something for fantasy managers to monitor in the closing weeks.
... See More ... See Less
  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Available to play

Poole (elbow) is available for Wednesday's game against the Jazz. This will be Poole's second status upgrade, as he was originally listed as doubtful on the first injury report. With Poole and Marcus Smart (illness) available, players like Bub Carrington, AJ Johnson and Jaylen Martin won't offer as much fantasy upside.

  • Wizards' Jordan Poole: Unlikely to play against Utah

Poole is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game versus the Jazz due to a right elbow contusion. Poole is expected to miss Wednesday's contest due to an elbow injury after suiting up in each of Washington's last six contests. If Poole is further downgraded to out, Bub Carrington will likely receive increased playing time.
