  • Heat's Simone Fontecchio: Available Tuesday

Fontecchio (calf) has been cleared to play in Tuesday's game against the Hornets, Will Manso of Local 10 Miami reports. Fontecchio has been dealing with a calf issue, which has threatened to keep him sidelined. However, he'll be good to go. He's played well so far this season, averaging 13.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game, shooting 61.5 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Heat's Simone Fontecchio: Upgraded to probable

Fontecchio (calf) has been upgraded to probable for Tuesday's game against Charlotte, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Fontecchio was initially considered questionable, but now he's on track to suit up. The sharpshooter is off to a great start to the season with averages of 13.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.7 three-pointers.

  • Heat's Simone Fontecchio: Iffy for Tuesday

Fontecchio (calf) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Hornets. Fontecchio is dealing with left calf soreness and is in jeopardy of missing his first game this season. The 29-year-old forward has provided a spark off the Heat's bench through three regular-season games, averaging 13.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in 20.3 minutes per contest. If he's ultimately ruled out, Jaime Jaquez, Nikola Jovic and Pelle Larsson are candidates for increased minutes.

  • Heat's Simone Fontecchio: Drops 14 off bench in loss

Fontecchio put up 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds and an assist across 19 minutes in Wednesday's 125-121 loss to Orlando. Fontecchio led the second unit in shot attempts and tied with Jaime Jaquez for pacing bench players in points and field goals made, despite playing 11 fewer minutes. Fontecchio will be an important piece within Miami's rotation moving forward, so fantasy managers should keep an eye on him as the season progresses.

  • Heat's Simone Fontecchio: Dry from deep in preseason loss

Fontecchio (leg) totaled four points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 14 minutes in Monday's 119-118 preseason loss to the Hawks. Fontecchio returned to action Monday after dealing with a minor leg injury but struggled from deep, missing all of his three-point attempts. The wing, acquired by Miami in a July sign-and-trade that sent Duncan Robinson to Detroit, will look to carve out a role as a bench contributor for his new team.

  • Heat's Simone Fontecchio: Sitting out Monday

Fontecchio (lower leg) won't be available for Monday's preseason game against Milwaukee, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Fontecchio is managing lower leg tightness, which doesn't sound like a serious issue. The sharpshooter can be deemed day-to-day prior to Wednesday's clash with San Antonio. With Fontecchio out of action, the Heat could choose to take a longer look at two-way player Myron Gardner on Monday.

  • Heat's Simone Fontecchio: Sent to Miami in sign-and-trade

Fontecchio was traded to the Heat on Tuesday in a sign-and-trade deal that sent Duncan Robinson to the Pistons, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. The Pistons sent Fontecchio to the Heat to complete their three-year, $48 million signing of Duncan Robinson. Fontecchio served as a reserve forward for Detroit in 2024-25, averaging 5.9 points and 2.9 rebounds across 16.5 minutes per game in 75 regular-season appearances. The 29-year-old will likely have to compete for playing time off the Heat's bench with Jaime Jaquez, Nikola Jovic, Kyle Anderson and Haywood Highsmith.

  • Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Limited impact in loss

Fontecchio ended Wednesday's 119-103 loss to Oklahoma City with six points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one assist and one block across 12 minutes. Fontecchio logged just 12 minutes and made only one field goal, with most of his points coming from the free-throw line in Wednesday's loss. The 29-year-old went off for 23 points in New Orleans on March 17 but has had a minimal impact since. Over his past seven games, Fontecchio has averaged 4.0 points on 32.3 percent shooting in 16.6 minutes per game. Even with Cade Cunningham (calf), Tobias Harris (Achilles) and Isaiah Stewart (suspension) unavailable recently, Fontecchio has failed to make an impact.

  • Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Just two points in loss

Fontecchio chipped in two points (1-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 15 minutes during Wednesday's 123-115 loss to the Clippers. Fontecchio continues to play limited minutes off the bench, scoring no more than two points for the fourth time in the past six games. Fontecchio has struggled to keep up with the Pistons taking some massive steps forward this season. At this point, he is nothing more than a secondary scoring option who struggles for consistency.

  • Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Ruled out Monday

Fontecchio (finger) is out for Monday's game against the Clippers. After dislocating his right finger in Sunday's win over the Hawks, Fontecchio will need to miss at least one game due to the injury. His next opportunity to take the floor arrives Wednesday against the Celtics. Fontecchio's absence should allow Isaiah Stewart and Ron Holland to pick up a few extra minutes off the bench.

  • Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Injures hand Sunday

Fontecchio will not return to Sunday's game against the Hawks due to a right hand injury, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. Fontecchio exited the game in the second quarter and finished the contest with two points (1-3 FG), one rebound and an assist in five minutes of play. The severity of Fontecchio's injury may not be known until he's evaluated further after the game, but he'll face a quick turnaround for the Pistons' next game Monday versus the Clippers.

  • Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Drops 17 off bench Wednesday

Fontecchio finished Wednesday's 113-98 victory over the Nets with 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 24 minutes off the bench. The 17 points were his best scoring effort since Nov. 27, when Fontecchio dropped a season-high 18 on the Grizzlies. The 29-year-old forward has played more than 20 minutes in back-to-back games after returning from a brief absence at the beginning of January to attend to a personal matter, but that increased workload has come while Ausar Thompson (illness) has been sidelined.

  • Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Good to go for Monday

Fontecchio (personal) is off the injury report for Monday's game against Portland. Fontecchio will return to game action after missing the club's last three outings due to a personal matter. Over his last five appearances, the 29-year-old has averaged 6.4 points and 2.2 rebounds across 16.0 minutes per game. Fontecchio could be in for a slight bump in minutes due to Jaden Ivey (lower leg) being sidelined for an extended period.

Fontecchio (personal) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Hornets. Fontecchio is in danger of missing his third straight contest Saturday due to personal reasons. If Fontecchio is ruled out yet again, Wendell Moore should continue to receive increased playing time.

  • Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Ruled out against Orlando

Fontecchio will not play against the Magic on Wednesday for personal reasons. Fontecchio has struggled over the past two games, racking up only three points, six rebounds and four assists combined. The 29-year-old averages 6.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, shooting 40.5 percent from the floor and 34.7 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Disappointing season continues

Fontecchio registered four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two rebounds in 11 minutes during Wednesday's 130-120 loss to the Celtics. Fontecchio continues to play limited minutes off the bench, having exceeded 20 minutes only twice in the past two weeks. His production has subsequently suffered, as he is averaging just 6.4 points and 1.2 three-pointers in 18.0 minutes per game across the first 22 games. There is a chance he lands a meaningful role if the Pistons opt to throw in the towel. Until then, he is likely to remain on the fringes of relevance.

  • Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Iffy against Washington

Fontecchio (toe) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Wizards. Fontecchio is in danger of missing his third straight contest due to a sprained left big toe. If Fontecchio is unable to suit up against Washington, Ron Holland, Malik Beasley and Wendell Moore are candidates to receive increased playing time, especially if Tim Hardaway (head) remains sidelined.

  • Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Officially ruled out

Fontecchio (toe) won't play in Friday's game versus the Raptors. Fontecchio has been downgraded from doubtful to out Friday due to a left big toe sprain. His next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Washington.

  • Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Pulls down eight boards

Fontecchio registered seven points (1-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes during Sunday's 106-92 victory over the Nets. Fontecchio couldn't get much going offensively but made up for it by pulling down a season-high eight rebounds. He's had a cold start to the season shooting the ball, both from the field and from beyond the arc. Positive regression with his percentages is likely coming.
