Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: In line to play regularly in 2026
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Thursday he expects Dominguez to play regularly next season, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Boone currently envisions Dominguez as the team's primary left fielder, though he made that statement with the caveat that he will have to see how the offseason goes before making any definitive declarations. Dominguez led the club with 93 starts in left field during the 2025 regular season, but he had a diminished role over the final two months and finished with an uninspiring .257/.331/.388 batting line across 429 plate appearances.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Swipes two bags Wednesday
Dominguez went 1-for-3 with a double, two runs, an RBI and two stolen bases in a 10-5 victory versus Minnesota on Wednesday.
Dominguez hasn't had many opportunities of late -- Wednesday marked just his second start over New York's past 10 games. He made the most of the opportunity, stroking an RBI double in the fourth inning, then stealing third base before coming around to score. Dominguez reached again on a hit-by-pitch in the eighth, swiped second and scored on a Ryan McMahon single. Dominguez has a solid 23 steals on 27 attempts this season, but his .724 OPS has been mildly disappointing.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Snaps homer drought in win
Dominguez went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Monday's 10-5 victory over Washington.
The New York outfielder plated his team's final three runs with a 357-foot round-tripper against Nationals reliever Cole Henry in the seventh. The long ball broke a homerless stretch dating back to July 23 for Dominguez, who batted .266 (17-for-64) with one extra-base hit in 22 games over that span. The 22-year-old has slipped into a part-time role as the Yankees jockey for a playoff spot, so he will have to produce performances like this one in order to garner additional playing time.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Not starting Saturday
Dominguez is not part of the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup against Boston.
Dominguez will begin on the bench for the third time in New York's past six games. The Yankees' outfield will consist of Cody Bellinger, Trent Grisham and Giancarlo Stanton from left to right versus Boston ace Garrett Crochet.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Retreating to bench Tuesday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said in his appearance on Jomboy Media's "Talkin' Yanks" podcast that Dominguez will be out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.
Dominguez started in all three of the Yankees' games in St. Louis over the weekend and went 5-for-14 with three RBI, one run and one stolen base, but he'll be the odd man out of the New York outfield in the series opener in Tampa while Giancarlo Stanton makes his return after being held out the last few days due to general soreness. With Aaron Judge occupying the designated-hitter spot for the time being as he continues to recover from an elbow injury, Boone appears to have settled on Cody Bellinger, Trent Grisham and Stanton as his preferred outfield trio from left to right.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Sitting out third straight
Dominguez is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Twins.
Dominguez didn't start any of the three games of the series, marking the first time all season he's been out of the lineup for three consecutive contests. Cody Bellinger and Giancarlo Stanton will again start in the corner outfield as the Yankees go for the sweep.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Odd man out with Stanton starting
Dominguez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.
With Giancarlo Stanton making his second start in right field since Aaron Judge made his return from the injured list last Tuesday, Dominguez will be the odd man out of the New York outfield. Though Judge remains limited to serving as a designated hitter for the time being, he's in the midst of a throwing program as he recovers from a right flexor strain and could be ready to resume everyday duties in right field within the next few weeks. Once that happens, Stanton could settle back in as a full-time DH, and Dominguez could be squeezed out of the starting nine on a more frequent basis.
