Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Placed on 10-day injured list
The Yankees placed Dominguez on the 10-day injured list Friday with a left shoulder AC joint sprain.
Dominguez suffered the injury during Thursday's game against the Rangers when he collided with the outfield wall while making a catch. He managed to avoid a concussion or other major injury, but Dominguez is expected to require longer than a minimum stay on the IL. If Giancarlo Stanton (calf) beats him back from the IL, Dominguez could be sent back to the minors once he's healthy.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Going on IL with sprained AC joint
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Thursday that Dominguez will miss "a few weeks" after an MRI revealed a low-grade AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Dominguez was injured in Thursday's game against the Rangers after crashing into the outfield wall following a catch. He did pass initial concussion testing, though he will remain in protocol for a few more days. All things considered, a low-grade AC joint sprain qualifies as relatively good news for Dominguez. He will officially be placed on the IL prior to Friday's game against the Brewers.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: In concussion protocol, getting MRI
Dominguez is in concussion protocol and will undergo an MRI on his injured left shoulder, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Dominguez was removed from Thursday's game against the Rangers after crashing into the outfield wall following a catch. The Yankees are saying he will be monitored for the next several days, so it sounds like he's destined to land on the 7-day concussion injured list even if the imaging on his shoulder comes back clean. More will be known about Dominguez's status in the coming days. With Giancarlo Stanton (calf) also still out, the Yankees could give more playing time to Paul Goldschmidt and/or Amed Rosario.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Carted off after slamming into wall
Dominguez was carted off the field after slamming into the outfield wall following a catch in the first inning of Thursday's game against the Rangers, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
The first batter of the game, Brandon Nimmo, drove one deep to left field and Dominguez tracked it down before crashing into a section of the outfield wall that isn't padded. He stayed down for a bit but was able to walk to the cart on his own. The Yankees should have an update on Dominguez's status soon.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Homer, three extra-base hits in win
Dominguez went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer, two doubles, three total RBI and a second run scored in Sunday's 11-3 win over the Orioles.
Dominguez gave the Yankees some breathing room in the eighth inning with his two-run shot off Andrew Kittredge, his first homer of the year, extending New York's lead to 6-3, before adding another RBI later in the frame after the Yankees batted around. Coming into Sunday, Dominguez had gone just 2-for-13 with no extra-base hits in his first four games since he was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, where he slashed .326/.415/.478 with three homers and eight steals in 24 games.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Back in lineup
Dominguez (elbow) will serve as the Yankees' designated hitter and bat sixth Saturday against the Orioles.
Dominguez missed the Yankees' series opener Friday after getting hit by a pitch on his left elbow Wednesday. He's now been cleared to return to the starting nine following a few days of rest and will aim to turn things around after going 1-for-9 at the plate through his first three major-league contests this season.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Out of lineup Friday
Dominguez (elbow) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles.
Dominguez had to exit the Yankees' last game Wednesday with a left elbow contusion following a hit-by-pitch. He probably wasn't going to start Friday's contest anyway, as the Orioles are expected to start lefty Cade Povich, while the switch-hitting Dominguez is a career .185/.274/.252 hitter versus southpaws. Ben Rice will be at designated hitter, while Paul Goldschmidt will get an opportunity at first base.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: CT scan comes back negative
Dominguez could be available off the bench Friday versus the Orioles after a CT scan on his left elbow came back negative, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Dominguez was forced from the Yankees' last game Wednesday with a left elbow contusion following a hit-by-pitch. He's not in the starting lineup Friday, but the switch hitter has escaped a serious injury and could be available to pinch hit, if needed. Dominguez has a good chance to return to the lineup Saturday.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Dealing with elbow contusion
Dominguez was diagnosed with a left elbow contusion after exiting Wednesday's game against the Rangers in the fourth inning following a hit-by-pitch, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Dominguez was lifted from the contest after being struck by an 89.1 mile per hour Nathan Eovaldi cutter. X-rays were already taken and came back inconclusive, per Chris Kirschner of The Athletic, and Dominguez will likely undergo additional testing when the Yankees return home this weekend. Consider Dominguez day-to-day heading into Friday's series opener versus the Orioles.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Records one hit in season debut
Dominguez went 1-for-4 with a strikeout in Monday's 4-2 win against Texas.
Dominguez was called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre ahead of the game and started at DH for New York, batting sixth. He didn't do anything spectacular but did get involved on offense with a sixth-inning single. Giancarlo Stanton (calf) is headed for the injured list, per Erik Boland of Newsday, so Dominguez could get at least a temporary opportunity to play regularly with the hope of forcing his way into a long-term stint with the big-league club.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Starting at DH, batting sixth
Dominguez will start at designated hitter and bat sixth in Monday's game versus the Rangers.
Dominguez is slotting in at DH in place of the injured Giancarlo Stanton (calf). The Yankees have resisted placing Stanton on the injured list for now, with the hope that he will be able to return to action at some point this week. Dominguez should play regularly for as long as Stanton is sidelined. The former has slashed .326/.415/.478 with three home runs, eight stolen bases and a 13:16 BB:K at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Added to big-league roster
The Yankees recalled Dominguez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday.
Dominguez earned a promotion following a red-hot start with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, having slashed .326/.415/.478 with three home runs, eight stolen bases and a 13:16 BB:K. The switch hitter should see regular starts while Giancarlo Stanton (leg) is banged up, though Stanton remains on the active roster for now. If Stanton is able to avoid the injured list, Dominguez's stint with the big club could be brief.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Set to join major-league roster
Dominguez is expected to be called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Dominguez will join the Yankees ahead of the team's three-game series on the road against the Rangers. The outfielder has started the season red-hot at the Triple-A level, producing a .326 average with three home runs, 15 RBI, 15 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 92 at-bats in 24 contests. Dominguez will provide New York with an additional option in the outfield due to Giancarlo Stanton (calf) being banged up, and it's possible that Stanton is headed for a stint on the injured list.
