Cardinals' Zach Plesac: Joins Cardinals on minors deal
The Cardinals signed Plesac to a minor-league contract Friday.
Plesac had been pitching with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League. The 30-year-old made three starts for the Angels last season, allowing 11 runs with a 5:7 K:BB over 12 frames. Plesac will provide rotation depth at Triple-A Memphis.
