Athletics' Ben Bowden: Moved to injured list
The Athletics placed Bowden on the 15-day injured list Friday with a strained left lat.
Bowden appeared in 11 games after being called up from Triple-A Las Vegas on July 23. The 30-year-old will require a stint on the injured list with a lat strain, opening up a spot in the bullpen for Eduarniel Nunez. Bowden has a 4.22 ERA in 10.2 innings with the A's.

Athletics' Ben Bowden: Summoned from minors
The Athletics selected Bowden's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Bowden earned a promotion by putting up a 1.36 ERA and 41:18 K:BB over 39.2 innings at Las Vegas. The left-handed reliever's lone action in the majors to this point came with the Rockies in 3032, when he collected a 6.56 ERA over 39 appearances.

Athletics' Ben Bowden: Sent to minor-league camp
The Athletics reassigned Bowden to minor-league camp Monday.
The 30-year-old Bowden previously made 39 big-league appearances with the Rockies in 2021, but he'll likely need an extended run of strong performances at Triple-A Las Vegas before getting another look in the majors with the Athletics. The left-hander spent the entire 2024 season at the Triple-A level in the Atlanta organization, compiling a 4.03 ERA and 1.48 WHIP over 29 innings with Gwinnett.

Athletics' Ben Bowden: Latches on with Athletics
The Athletics signed Bowden to a minor-league contract Dec. 9.
Bowden, 30, pitched at Triple-A Gwinnett in the Atlanta organization this past season, posting a 4.03 ERA and 35:17 K:BB across 29 innings. The right-handed reliever's lone major-league experience came back in 2021, when he held a 6.56 ERA in 39 appearances with the Rockies.

Braves' Ben Bowden: Inks minor-league deal
Bowden signed a minor-league contract with Atlanta on Friday.
Bowden spent the 2023 campaign with the Phillies on a minor-league deal and posted a 4.64 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in 52.1 innings over 49 relief appearances at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He elected free agency in early November and was able to reach an agreement with Atlanta a few weeks later. The southpaw could serve as a non-roster invitee this spring but seems like a long shot to be a regular presence in the major-league bullpen.

Phillies' Ben Bowden: Shifted to minors camp
The Phillies reassigned Bowden to minor-league camp Monday.
The southpaw collected a 6.43 ERA and 9:7 K:BB across seven frames this spring. He'll head to Triple-A Lehigh Valley and hope an opportunity with the big club arises down the road.

Phillies' Ben Bowden: Signs minor-league deal with Phils
Bowden has signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies, the team announced Tuesday.
The deal includes an invitation to spring training, though Bowden figures to be nothing more than camp depth for Philadelphia after struggling to a 5.46 ERA in 57.2 innings last season between the Triple-A affiliates of the Rockies, Rays and Giants. He last appeared in a major-league game in 2021.

Giants' Ben Bowden: Traded to Giants
Bowden was traded from the Rays to the Giants on Sunday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.
Bowden was claimed off waivers by Tampa Bay in April after being waived by the Rockies, but he'll get a fresh start with the Giants during the second half of the season. The southpaw has made 28 relief appearances at the Triple-A level this year and has posted a 3.94 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in 29.2 innings.

Rays' Ben Bowden: Outrighted to Triple-A
Bowden cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The 27-year-old was designated for assignment Tuesday to make room on the 40-man roster for right-hander Shawn Armstrong, but Bowden will remain in Durham after going unclaimed on waivers. Over nine relief appearances in Durham this year, the southpaw has posted a 1.80 ERA and 1.60 WHIP in 10 innings.

Rays' Ben Bowden: Loses 40-man spot
Tampa Bay designated Bowden for assignment Tuesday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Bowden will cede his spot on the 40-man roster to right-handed reliever Shawn Armstrong, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move. Since being scooped up off waivers from the Rockies in late April, Bowden had pitched exclusively out of the Durham bullpen. In nine outings at Triple-A spanning 10 innings, Bowden gave up two earned runs on nine hits and seven walks while punching out 10.

Rays' Ben Bowden: Claimed by Rays
Bowden was claimed off waivers by the Rays on Friday.

Rockies' Ben Bowden: Sent to Triple-A
Bowden was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
Bowden made 39 appearances out of the bullpen for the Rockies last year but won't make the Opening Day roster. He had a 6.56 ERA, 1.82 WHIP and 42:21 K:BB across 35.2 innings and may need to pitch better in 2022 to warrant additional opportunities.

He has given up at least one earned run in nine of his last 12 appearances, logging a 6.92 ERA and 1.92 WHIP over that stretch.

Rockies' Ben Bowden: Recalled by Colorado
Bowden was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.
Bowden was sent down shortly before the All-Star break, but he'll return to the major-league bullpen after several relievers were placed on the COVID-19 IL on Friday. He should pitch mainly in low-leverage situations.

Rockies' Ben Bowden: Optioned to Triple-A
The Rockies optioned Bowden to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
The lefty didn't appear in a game after being recalled June 28 and now yields his roster spot to the now-healthy Michael Givens. Bowden has a miserable 7.94 ERA in 21 appearances this season, so it would likely take injuries to the bullpen for him to earn another big-league opportunity in 2021.

Rockies' Ben Bowden: Back in big leagues
Bowden was recalled by the Rockies on Monday.
Bowden was optioned Sunday but is needed again on the big-league roster just a day later with Robert Stephenson (back) landing on the injured list. Bowden owns a 7.94 ERA and 2.18 WHIP in 17 innings this season, so he'll likely remain in a low-leverage role.

Rockies' Ben Bowden: Recalled by Rockies
Bowden was called up by Colorado on Saturday.
Bowden struggled to a 6.39 ERA and 1.97 WHIP in 12.2 innings before straining his shoulder in mid-May. He was optioned Tuesday upon his return from the injured list but is needed again in the majors, with injuries to Jon Gray (elbow) and Jordan Sheffield (lat) thinning the Rockies' pitching staff.

Rockies' Ben Bowden: Activated, optioned
The Rockies reinstated Bowden (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday before optioning him to Triple-A Albuquerque, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.
Bowden is fully recovered from his shoulder injury after two rehab assignments, but he'll join the Triple-A squad for the time being. In 12.2 relief innings with the Rockies in 2021, the lefty has posted a 6.39 ERA and a 1.97 WHIP, both of which justify his Tuesday demotion.
